The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.



The Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field, the films swings into theatres July 3, 2012 in 3D!

I really really hope TASM and TDKR deliver on everything they've promised and live up to all the hype. I want this to be the year of the comic book movie.

The Avengers delivered.
I see no reason why Spiderman and Batman can't.

i dunno, jake hamilton. we can smell our own...and i don't doubt that you have paged through a comic once or twice, but there's something about you that doesn't smell familiar to me:)

i liked tobey, but damn it, this garfield mother lover has it down pat. number one with a bullet and whatnot.

martin sheen...absent from pretty much a lot we have seen in the trailers and whatnot so far. most likely he will kick some ass martin sheen-style like he do. sally field aint no slouch as well.

also, to not sound so not masculine, emma stone is a hottie:)
