While nothing is confirmed, of course, according to a site called DarkKnightRisesRumors.com (found via AICN and What Culture), this will be a place where the new batcave will be located in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises. It was previously reported that some scenes will be shot in Wales, also for batcave. Images below are quite great, and it really looks like a place for something that big.

Once again, nothing is confirmed. And What Culture points out couple of details regarding the batcave:

- There is a Batcave in The Dark Knight Rises and it will be an enhanced version of what we saw in Batman Begins.

- The exteriors, including the waterfall, have already been shot on location in Wales.

- Many interiors will be shot at a Warner Bros soundstage.

What do you think of the photos and is this a good place for a new batcave?

Starring Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard and Morgan Freeman, The Dark Knight Rises is set to hit theatres on July 20, 2012!

If it's being shot in Wales (assuming these pictures are actually what they are claimed to be) why is there Italian graffiti on the walls in one of the pictures?
95 - 9/1/2011, 5:16 PM
Now there's a Batcave :P
Brock - 9/1/2011, 5:17 PM

Whatever it is, I smell awesome all over. Also smell a hint of shit. Must be coming from haters pants.

Batcave will definitely be a win.
vermillion - 9/1/2011, 5:19 PM
That is amazing. I can't wait for this movie.
Spidey91 - 9/1/2011, 5:19 PM
I don't think that's the Batcave,it doesn't fit with the style that Nolan has given to his Batman movies
but that's just my opinion,I could be wrong
mikesinuman - 9/1/2011, 5:20 PM
considering that it's the batcave , why is it so lighted up?
BooYah - 9/1/2011, 5:23 PM
That's actually pretty cool.
It's the only thing I like from whats leaked so far.
Way better then the crappy Catwoman look.
TheDetectiveComicRises - 9/1/2011, 5:25 PM
Stunning & Beautiful! I don't know if it will be but I know & truly believe that The Dark Knight Rises will become the greatest Batman movie ever because Chris Nolan is a genious & is generous in sharing his God blessed talents with us all & Christian Bale is the ultimate & quintessential Batman/Bruce Wayne in my opinion.

I am looking more forward to this movie than anyother nxt year. I remember back in 05 finally seeing The Batman come back 2 the big screen in Batman Begins & in 2008 in The Dark Knight which is to me the greatest CMB ever to date & now seeing the final piece of the puzzle of the trilogy I am so excited. I love reading and watching DC Comics & I think The Dark Knight Rises & The Man of Steel is going to start something new, fresh & revolutionary for all Comic Book Movies.

I feel that TDK did & I feel that TDKR will take it even futher :)
95 - 9/1/2011, 5:26 PM
TDKR will make up for all the things people have complained about in the previous two: Gothic architecture, Batwing, Batcave [where Bruce will rediscover himself], more emphasis on Batman [not the villains]. This is going to be BIG.
sackboy1991 - 9/1/2011, 5:30 PM
agreed with spidey91, just don't seem right, there's a difference between "enhanced version of what we saw in Batman Begins" and this, how far down have they drilled for the batcave, not really effective when he needs to go somewhere in a hurry, he needs to park the tumbler on the lift and then wait for it to up the 1000 ft. just reminds me of that episode of fam guy,
looks to high tech, and looks nothing like what we saw in batman begins, i think its for total recall, just don't get why there's writing on the wall. im sure Bruce Wayne can afford whiteboards.
redrobin1986 - 9/1/2011, 5:33 PM
I love the look, just was not what i thought the Cave in the Nolan movies would look like
Action - 9/1/2011, 5:33 PM
The dark knight will kick ass yet again in the movie theaters.
JackDexx - 9/1/2011, 5:34 PM
@Spidey91
that's what i'm saying its coll and looks like the bat cave, just not the bat cave nolan would have done. hopefully this is in the film. only took 3 movies but it looks cool. if it had all the stuff batman has gotten over the years id be better but ya know.
NeoBaggins - 9/1/2011, 5:34 PM
Might be some kind of League of Shadows caverns or something.
RockNRollCC - 9/1/2011, 5:40 PM
That is a pretty [frick]ing sweet batcave...Lookin like the best out of the 3 movies
dmm5 - 9/1/2011, 5:42 PM

supermarioworldE - 9/1/2011, 5:46 PM
A batcave this bright, colorful, and inconveniently deep?

I don't think so.

That's not to say that this set isn't beautiful, but a batcave? I just don't see it.
backup - 9/1/2011, 5:47 PM
I knew it was bale climbing the wall in the teaser its the second photo
SUPERMAN2013 - 9/1/2011, 5:48 PM
on the 3rd pic down theres loads of writing on the wall in the background, cant be a set piece if thats there, but could be,maybe its so hollow like that for the bat jet hellicopter thingy to go up and out
RobertGarlen - 9/1/2011, 5:49 PM
i hope so.
patriautism - 9/1/2011, 5:52 PM
Looks amazing.. I have a feeling a lot of high tech equipment will be added to those round rooms..
dahamma - 9/1/2011, 5:52 PM
As someone mentioned, this is one of the few leaked things from TDKR that got me excited
Kalabog - 9/1/2011, 5:54 PM
Please let it be. Batcave doesn't have to be all dark and gloomy. If so how can anybody in his right mind do his work properly. Ohh yeah Batman should be a freeko... that I don't agree. This cave is perfect. Its a a spacious and well lit conducive for crime fighting.
Spidey91 - 9/1/2011, 5:57 PM
@JackDexx
maybe,with Nolan you never know
if it is the Batcave,I would said it's a freakin' cool looking one.
if it's not,I wanna know from which movie it really is :P
m2prod - 9/1/2011, 5:58 PM
Looks like a traveling carnival fell down a hole. Is that a Tilt-A-Whirl in the upper right corner?
goatmilk - 9/1/2011, 5:58 PM
I noticed that there's no cowl on the cave and also that the scaffolding is way too short and not muscular enough for the Batcave EPIC FAIL this movies gonna suck Avengers Avengers blah blah blah
RyanLantern77 - 9/1/2011, 6:00 PM
This is super old
GUNSMITH - 9/1/2011, 6:08 PM
I LIKE HOW HE WENT FOR PRACTICALITY, WHY WOULD BATMAN WORK IN A DARK GUANO DROPPING BATCAVE? LIGHTED, AND IT LOOKS LIKE HE SANDED DOWN THE WALLS...PRETTY CLEAN...

dxperry - 9/1/2011, 6:13 PM
Looks Awesome...cant wait for.this movie
marvel72 - 9/1/2011, 6:20 PM
that looks pretty good actually, best thing i've seen from this movie.
GUNSMITH - 9/1/2011, 6:22 PM
ANSWER ME THIS THOUGH..HOW DO YOU MAKE SOMETHING LIKE THIS OF THIS SCALE WITHOUT ANYONE KNOWING?
Alexandre - 9/1/2011, 6:22 PM
where is this at though
StarkRaving - 9/1/2011, 6:37 PM
The exterior of the Batcave was shot in Wales. This pictures are from the Turda Salt Mines in Romania.

It would be cool if this location was used at the Batcave interior. But somehow the complex seems a bit too large for Batman's purposes.
