Three high school students make an incredible discovery, leading to they’re developing uncanny powers beyond their understanding. As they learn to control their abilities, and use them to their advantage, their lives start to spin out of control, and their darker sides begin to take over.

Directed by Josh Trank, and starring Michael B. Jordan, Dane DeHaan and Alex Russell, Chronicle is set to hit theatres on February 3, 2012.

can we stop calling it akira... you are getting an akira remake. at least we get new takes on the superhero genre. personally this reminds me of the awesome first season of heroes in its realism.

The trailer looks awesome, that poster looks kinda weird though, but it does speak to the 'troubled kid' Andrew is.

Here in the U.S. native American tribes used sign language to communicate.

The extended middle finger means, "Pass the fu**ing mashed potatoes"!

So I'm a little confused about the innuendo of this poster.

They need to seriously rethink their advertising. I saw the poster and instantly thought - this looks like something I will go out of my way to avoid, the trailer however looks really interesting!

I'm all for this flick...with the exception of the inevitable ending where I'm sure they all die.

I just want a good super hero smack down, doc style. I want to see the two friends try to take Andrew down. From the trailer, the guys seem likeable (yet don't get why they swim to pull the dude from the car). I'd like to see them play the hero card to help and take their friend out through some hardcore telekinesis and flying (think Superman 2). Just don't have their deaths be lame.

In any case, the formula seems obvious and from some massive pausing, I've gathered Andrew seems like the black sheep of his friends. The one who probably gets picked on and when he gets a taste of powers, well, you can figure it out. Seriously, go through the trailer with a fine comb. You'll find some rad scenes.

Heroes was a let down. I never got the Sylar/Peter smackdown I deserved. This could be it.
