The logo for Josh Trank's Fantastic Four film was revealed at CinemaCon yesterday, and here is a description of it courtesy of Steven Weintraub:

From this description it sounds not dissimilar perhaps to the logo for the 2007 movie Rise of the Silver Surfer.

In other news, in an interview for his new film Divergent, Miles Teller (Mr. Fantastic) briefly reiterated his excitement over being cast in the film:

Miles: I’m really excited about “Fantastic Four.” I’m liking the idea of this character who’s been established since my dad was a kid and getting to put my stamp on it.

He and his fellow co-star (Jai Courtney) also joked about Australians taking all the main roles in American action movies, when asked why actors like Hugh Jackman, Sam Worthington, etc. have been having so much success:

Jai: I don’t know. It’s a question I get asked a lot. Someone said to me recently that they think American men have a different idea of what it is to be masculine. I don’t know how much truth there is to that, but there is a bit of a patent immerging.

Miles: They are taking a lot of our freakin’ roles, I’ll tell you that! Thank god Captain America is American.

Fantastic Four, directed by Josh Trank and starring Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, and Jamie Bell, is slated for release on June 19, 2015.

Doesnt anyone actually give a $hit about this film?
NovaCorpsFan - 3/28/2014, 7:17 AM
I keep checking on the film's progress in the fond hope something goes wrong.
Pheezmatic - 3/28/2014, 7:17 AM
I'll wait till I see it but... sounds like typical Fox shit.
Sumitsjc - 3/28/2014, 7:18 AM
OK
DestroyerofHaters - 3/28/2014, 7:18 AM
Lots of people do. Plenty more will when it's actually the year of release. Or when there are actual images to base opinions off of.
StarYeezus - 3/28/2014, 7:20 AM
As long as Fox stays out of Trank's ass, this could be good.
Pheezmatic - 3/28/2014, 7:20 AM
@nova exactly.....I dream that something comes out one day for this movie that the production has completely blown up from the inside or that they decided to make the Thing pink or something. That'd be hilarious.

For anyone interested, Chris Evans supports the MBJ casting:

"I think it’s great that they’re picking it up again... There’s a lot more story to tell. And I think Michael B. Jordan is just a phenomenal actor."

@ProfessorX- GOD LOOK AT HER FEET!!!! What the [frick]!?!?!
BatManiac - 3/28/2014, 7:53 AM
Teller's a good actor, so I'm looking forward to seeing what Teller brings to the role.
CherryBomb - 3/28/2014, 7:58 AM
He's an amazing actor, with so much depth and he really commits to a role.
I happen to think he looks so much like Reed, it's a shame he's not older.
But if they wanted to cast talent, then they definitely got it.
StarYeezus - 3/28/2014, 7:58 AM
MrSotoMan - 3/28/2014, 8:01 AM
I wouldn't go as far as to say Miles acts so much like Reed in real-life, but I have to admit he does look like a young Reed Richards, depending which artist they are using but he has that face that anybody would want to punch because of his face, like Reed.

Overall I do like the idea of casting him, and the fact he is doing this for his father says a lot. Make daddy proud Miles!
ProfessorX - 3/28/2014, 8:01 AM
@SotoJuiceMan: I know right? Not the prettiest feet in the world...
MrSotoMan - 3/28/2014, 8:03 AM
@ProfessorX- I mean I feel honestly she looks hot but by god someone give her some shoes or socks to hide those feet!
MexicanSuperman - 3/28/2014, 8:04 AM
@ Soto, I remember you said you saw The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Capitan America The Winter Soldier. Which one did you like more?
MexicanSuperman - 3/28/2014, 8:05 AM
I can't wait for the Fantastic Four reboot.
MrSotoMan - 3/28/2014, 8:08 AM
Captain America. Even though both have changes from the story they are trying to adapt, I think Captain America is one of my favorite CBM's for sure and it had a lot of changes to try to fit into the MCU and TASM2 was just a surprise to know it is way better than TASM.
MexicanSuperman - 3/28/2014, 8:12 AM
@SotoJuiceMan, that is awesome. I am looking forward to both. Are you going to see XMDOFP early as well?
MrSotoMan - 3/28/2014, 8:17 AM
So far, no. If it does so happen to fall in my lap tickets for this movie, then of course I am watching it, but that won't happen for another 2-3 weeks, I was shocked to even see TASM2 which was a rough cut.

I do wanna see DOFP though.
MediaMan - 3/28/2014, 8:45 AM
I would feel better about the new FF "movie" if Roger Corman was directing it.
xfan320 - 3/28/2014, 10:05 AM
This movie is starting to grow on me...

I've gotten past the interracial siblings casting bit, as I'm sure Trank will handle the material with a careful approach.

I really like Jamie Bell as an actor and think it's an inspired choice given his MoCap work on Tintin.

Someone mentioned Miles Teller having a very "punchable" face... I think that's a very cool point because he does look like Reed in certain interpretations and comes off very smug, but not cocky.

Kate Mara is hot.

My one hope is that MBJ doesn't portray Johnny as some slightly "hood, thuggish" type with mad $wagga... MAJOR eye roll if they do...

Shamo - 3/28/2014, 10:19 AM
@xfan, because he's black right? Because all black people are hood and thuggish right? Smh.
StarYeezus - 3/28/2014, 10:28 AM
xfan320

Implying that black actors don't have range... Don't worry, this isn't a Michael Bay film. No "jiggaboos" caricatures in this, I can promise you that.
MrSotoMan - 3/28/2014, 10:37 AM
@xfan320- Not sure if that last bit was racist or not. I mean Macklemore does the same shtick almost, and he's white.
CaptainComicBook - 3/28/2014, 10:37 AM
I hate movies that are only created so rights can be retained.
CaptainComicBook - 3/28/2014, 10:45 AM
There is no burning desire from anyone for this movie to be rebooted so soon. They're doing this just because they have the rights. Remember what happened last time FOX made a movie just because they had the rights?
Equivocal - 3/28/2014, 10:45 AM
why fox would do something like that, shock value ? retain rights ?? to give us the middle finger to the fan base ???

and now is OFFICIAL:

I'm boycotting fox movies on that summer once this atrocity is fully finished......

CaptainComicBook - 3/28/2014, 10:47 AM
Unless this movie makes an obvious connection to the X-Men films then it can GTFO. Aint no body got time for a stand alone film about an boring overdone team. At least Sony has plans make a "Spidey Universe".
