Top 5 Heroes That Should Be Rebooted or Adapted

There are the greats that have already had their run, there are the legends that have never had a GOOD run, and there are those who haven`t even seen the light.

Hope you liked my metaphoric teaser :)

Now to buissness: We all watch and love all those great cbms out there such as The Avengers, The Dark Knight Trilogy(excluding rises), and The Amazing Spider-man and we all know that there is much more that these big movie companies can give us. Marvel never lets us down with their movies. they have millions of possibilities and scripts being written. People work on them for years and bring them to the exectutives to find out if they`re screen worthy.

Fox on the other hand... Well I despise Fox mainly for getting that deal Marvel gave them and instead of taking a great oportunity they intirely let us down in every way. But you didn`t click on this because you wanted to hear me babble on about movie companies. so let`s begin and you`ll hear more of my opinions throughout.

5. Daredevil

We were all heartbroken when Fox made one of the most stupid choices in cbm history. Not only were they gonna drop Marvel`s great deal, they also had to give up entirely on Daredevil and hire a guy to stand there and say that Fox`s mcu would be like Marvel`s. Well that was a horrible day in the cbm industry and it won`t be the last time Fox makes a stupid choice. I put One of my favorite heroes in 5 because I know it will never happen. Fox gave the rights back to Marvel but the only way they could use him is on the S.H.I.E.D. TV show. Here`s my idea:

Marvel could use him for one season on TV and then give Sony the opportunity to buy the rights and reboot it. Sony seems to not be going good finacially and what better way to start making more cbms?! They could do to Daredevil what they did to Spider-Man. Maybe they could even make Daredevil part of the TASM universe.

Call me crazy but that`s my idea. Even if nothing happens, Daredevil still needs to to have another run on screen.

4. NOVA

This article is mostly about reboots but I still wanted to have NOVA in here. I mean he`s Marvel`s most famous space hero, they`ve already incorporated him in the USM tv show so why wouldn`t they have him in Guardians of the Galaxy? He would fit perfectly and I already have my atro choice: Garrett Hedlund. If your having to much trouble seeing it look at this image:http://cdn02.cdn.justjared.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/garrett-2/garrett-hedlund-2-magazine-02.jpg

3. Batman

When listing this I had to ask myself "Who needs to be on screen the most?" I thought that maybe Batman didn`t need to be on screen as much as the next 2. But nevertheless Batman can never get old. It occurs to me that "normal" people might say something like "Wow ANOTHER Batman movie." then roll their eyes. this might be the case. but looking on the bright side I already have a good plot direction thought up for it... But thats another article. Ben Affleck will star in (as Batman), direct and write my dream Batman reboot.

2. Dr. Strange

Yep the good doctor is one of my favorite cosmic heroes and he deserves a good movie. Stan the man said that a Dr. Strange was on the way and I can only hope he was right. He is also said to have a part in T:TDW but with them already filming the action parts either he`s not in it or he has a very small part. As for the plot I have written a script that I quit on because NOBODY COMMENTED (except for you Mr.justiceavenger :) so check them out if you want:

Part 1: http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/avengers72/news/?a=69790

Part 3: http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/avengers72/news/?a=70381

1. The X-Men

I`ll just say it: all the X-Men movies are stupid. I don`t want to be a troll but ugh, they are so horrible! The reboot should have all the characters and all the origins. it won`t be just about Logan, it will follow the comic and have a director that cares and knows how to make a cbm. My next article will probly be about a possible X-Men reboot so be on the look out and merry christmas!

How many Marvel heroes live in New York?
johnblake - 12/22/2012, 6:14 PM
THOSE ARE AWESOME PICTURES
CorndogBurglar - 12/22/2012, 6:14 PM
What the hell are you talking about? The only way Marvel can use Daredevil is on the SHIELD tv show? They got the movie rights back. If Marvel wants to make a Daredevil movie, they can now. Same with Punisher.
CorndogBurglar - 12/22/2012, 6:17 PM
I just re-read that, and I'm totally confused as to why you think a Daredevil movie can't be made now.
marvel72 - 12/22/2012, 6:54 PM
1st x-men reboot either with fox or marvel studios i don't care as long as they pay respect to the source material.

2nd daredevil movie/tv show have him team up/fight against the punisher or even better both, maybe base it the mark waid run.

3rd fantastic four reboot back at marvel studios, nuff said.

4th nova he needs a solo movie soon

5th silver surfer solo outing as well.
FirstAvenger - 12/22/2012, 7:45 PM
No Wonder Woman, no Flash and no Green Lantern?
DurtyTalynt - 12/22/2012, 10:59 PM
I agree with x-men movies. they stink. And Origins looked like a calvin clein commercial.
Happy11 - 12/23/2012, 1:06 AM
How can you love Batman but want Ben Affleck to play him. Even though I liked Christian Bale especially in BB, we need a actor who can play the part mentally and physically.
GuardianDevil - 12/23/2012, 2:02 AM
We've had enough Batman to last us a while, DC should focus on other guys like Flash and Green Lantern. Flash has never had a movie that I recall, and I wouldnt call that stupid thing with Ryan Reynolds anything even close to the awesome Green Lantern. I agree Doc Strange desperately NEEDS a movie, X-Men:United was great IMHO, and Last Stand wasn't bad either but as for all the others they were terrible. Nova? Nah... I don't really want a Nova movie. Batman deserves a reboot but NOT YET, we've had enough Batman for now and DC needs to prove that they can succes with someone OTHER than Batman or Superman, I mean really they need to get on the ball with their movies, GL sucked. Superman Returns sucked, Spirit sucked, Constantine sucked. Jonah Hex sucked, Catwoman sucked, shall I go on? WB needs to start actually putting some quality work into their characters, or all the reboots will be GL all over again. C'mon WB take a lil pride in your work, people love that stuff.

Great article! Agree that Daredevil has never gotten the big screen debut he deserved.
GuardianDevil - 12/23/2012, 2:07 AM
@ravenpilot
As many as I can think off the top of my head:

Spider-Man
Black Cat
Ironman
Venom
The Punisher
Daredevil
Iceman was born there
Cap grew up there before he went to war

That's all I can think of now.
GuardianDevil - 12/23/2012, 2:12 AM
Fantastic four and Ghost Rider/Dan Ketch do as well I believe.
GuardianDevil - 12/23/2012, 2:16 AM
I actually want a Black Panther movie, Ms. Marvel too. I'm sure many fanboys will scream "Batman ripoff!!" when they hear about Black Panther, but he's actually quite different than Batman.
LEEE777 - 12/23/2012, 5:56 AM
MARVEL @ Hell yeah FF back at Marvel Studios is a must deffo :p

Also best news ever FOX gave up on DD, Elekra ain't a prob if FOX still has her another few years or so... let Marvel use her later on, shes been overused anyways. Damn a retro Marvel movie be cool set in the 80's or 70's maybe in Hells Kitchen, wont happen, but would be cool. Then again wont see Daredevil up against Punisher etc if they did that, so I'll take that back lol! :P

Yeah Fox bent all the X-MEN characters over with a flag saying Fox was 'ere : D

All they did right was cast Magneto perfectly, pity we never got that Magneto movie, he was just crammed into a mixed up FIRST CLASS, which I couldn't enjoy as a comic book fan with characters in the 60's that should be in the present etc etc.

Watching it as a non lover of X-MEN and not knowing anything much about the X-Men I'd go yes it was a good movie, but knowing and loving the X-men characters I couldn't enjoy it or Origins or X3 etc. As for X1 an X2 before all the others were made I could secretly believe we had the original X-men first, Angel, Cyclops etc. Loved BEAST in First Class, but its sad that's all we had and having Scot's brother in it, good call, um not.

Just imagine what Marvel Studios could do if they had the X-men, its so sad never gonna happen...

Avengers72 @ Cool man, though I dunno about wanting a Batman Reboot so quick, can't wait for JUSTICE LEAGUE, about time, WARNERS has been sitting on gold for the last decade!

NOVA be awesome!

DR STRANGE would be an amazing film, especially if took seriously, hopefully not a PG (PG-13) either, but we'll probably take anything as long as the make it good.

KNIGHT @ Yeah man, with the budget ans scale of THOR, WW would get the treatment she deserves on the big screen!

GL, I'd love to see a sequel, they can turn it around, yeah when I came out the cinema I thought wtf, I wanted so much more from that movie, more space epic than humor on Earth stuff, OA scenes were cool, STRONG was [frick]in' A... So wanna see him back as Sinestro. As for Reynolds, I'm either up for him taking it more seriously or being recast.

GL should have been as big as Avengers and Warner's didn't deliver again... the last DC movies that blew my mind are WATCHMEN and TDK.... fingers crossed for MOS, man Cavil looks awesome of course for the role.

I'll thumbs it up, apart from you being disappointed about FOX losing DD, that was the best thing to happen this year!

Cool read ;)

P.S. FLASH is a must, also a LOSH to go up against Guardians of the Galaxy! < Cannot wait for that btw ; D

Glad you didnt say Wonder Woman. Such a shitty superhero.
xStarLordx - 12/23/2012, 1:02 PM
I agree with you on all of them. I want to point out Daredevil and The X-Men, Daredevil needs to be rebooted because for one, curse Ben Affleck. And secondly Marvel can definetley find a way to fit him in to their movie universe. And about X-Men, I hate all of the movies except for two. X-Men Origins: Wolverine and X-Men First Class. And even those movies had their down sides. Their down, down, down sides. Fox better just better give all of their marvel movies back to Marvel. I'm not impressed with what they've done. P.S. I think Sony is doing great with Spider-Man, but I would like to see them and Marvel get Spider-Man into the Marvel Movie Universe.
DrDoom - 12/23/2012, 2:25 PM
Spider-Man!
CorndogBurglar - 12/23/2012, 3:09 PM
@ Deadpoolscommonsense

As someone who is clearly a Deadpool fan, I cant figure out how you could possibly like X-Men origins Wolverine.
LexHairFight - 12/23/2012, 7:10 PM
As you think about all of the connections they could have, I think it might make sense to break it down by studio:

Fox:
X-Men done right - I agree with you about them not really doing the stories right (even though I did like United and First Class). I think Fantastic Four should be something different though. I think they should set up the mutant universe and keep FF in their own thing.

Marvel:
Continue with the Avengers including Black Panther, Dr. Strange, the Vision... But I like the idea of having some sort of tiered structure with Hero's for Hire not quite being on the same level. As the cycle starts to fade a little they can combine the properties to get a final push. I also like doing the R-rated group with DD, the Punisher, Deadpool and so on. Marvel is far ahead of the pack and they should continue pushing the boundary.

DC:
DC needs to focus on the simple things to start. Wonder Woman, Superman and Batman (maybe Flash) need to be able to be in the same Universe. I didn't mind Green Lantern, but I had a lot of sympathy for them. It is a very difficult concept to get across on screen and I imagine the same thing for Aqua Man and Martian Manhunter. They need to get the basics of it down before tackling the more complicated stuff.
SCOURGE - 12/24/2012, 6:41 AM
Daredevil really needs to just be done as a television show, or possibly incuded in a Marvel Knights show. I don't care about Nova as character, but if they include him in the GOTG movie and he doesn't Green Latern suck I might change my mind. Batman needs to be shelved for a minimum of 5 years. Dr. Stange is probably Phase 3, although I would glady trade the ill-concieved prospect of an Ant-Man movie for Dr.Strange n a heartbeat. The X-Men are kind of like the Batman franchise, the should really be shelved for at least 5 years, but barring that I am hoping Bryan Singer can get things back on track with DOFP
kenjim152 - 12/24/2012, 8:00 AM
@avengers72 DD can still join MCU he is a comic book character after all, but ur idea of having DD share his universe with TAS is really cool, I liked it.
Bam - 12/24/2012, 1:10 PM
I think Marvel needs to ride the big wave of all the goodwill they've made since Avengers and make two big and brilliant outings for Ms. Marvel and Black Panther, having two blockbusters centred on a Black Man or a White Woman is almost non existent in the movie business and it would be an excellent first step into lots of new properties and ideas for studios if they feel that confidence ripple through the industry.
