TT Games has brought LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham to Gamescom, a video game convention currently running in Germany that will last until August 17, 2014. TT Games has promised to reveal new content at the convention and they did not disappoint.

After revealing today that Doomsday will be making an appearance in the third LEGO Batman, the developer has taken to Twitter to announce Black Manta as a returning playable character. An archenemy of Aquaman, this sea-dwelling supervillain previously appeared in the second LEGO Batman game, LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, albeit with a slightly different appearance.

Check out how Black Manta looked like in LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes.

The best-selling LEGO Batman videogame franchise returns in an out-of-this-world, action-packed adventure! In LEGO Batman™ 3: Beyond Gotham, the Caped Crusader joins forces with the super heroes of the DC Comics universe and blasts off to outer space to stop the evil Brainiac from destroying Earth. Using the power of the Lantern Rings, Brainiac shrinks worlds to add to his twisted collection of miniature cities from across the universe. Now the greatest super heroes and the most cunning villains must unite and journey to different Lantern Worlds to collect the Lantern Rings and stop Brainiac before it’s too late.

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham is scheduled to be released for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation Vita and PC on December 31, 2014.

Should've kept the helmet black as well.

But still cool to have Black Manta in it.
