THE LONE RANGER: Crew Member Dies On Set
A crew member passes away while setting up for an underwater scene this Friday. Disney has yet to release his name but they confirmed the loss in a brief statement
"We regretfully confirm that a Lone Ranger crew member has passed away after being taken to a local hospital. Our hearts and thoughts are with his family, friends, and colleagues at this time, and our full support is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this terrible event."
LOS ANGELES -- Authorities are investigating the apparently drowning of a crew member who was working on a set for upcoming film The Lone Ranger.
Coroner's spokesman Ed Winter says a 48-year-old man was pronounced dead around 10 a.m. Friday. He was cleaning a pool that was going to be used in the film in Acton, which is in northeast Los Angeles County. Winter says it appears the man suffered a heart attack.
The man's identity has not yet been released.
The studio is also cooperating with the investigation, which will include an autopsy to determine his cause of death.
