This is a book written by Michael Reaves and Steven-Elliot Altman. I was thinking one day while I was at my local Barnes and Noble: I wonder if they have a novel about a comic book...? Well after a bit of browsing I found a couple. Ironman and Batman the dark knight ,both movie novels, I wasn't interested in because I already watched the movies. So after a bit of browsing I found Batman: Fear itself,it along with two other in the series. Another one of which I will be doing a review for once I finish it. Fear Itself was a very good read! I am not one to read much so finding a book I'd be willing to read was a task. This book read very easy. It was also simple to follow and was never boring. It had you constantly wondering which one of batman's famous rouges was behind the evil doing on in Gotham. This book let's you get even deeper into the characters you love. Helped me understand what it actually might be like to wear the famous Cowl. In the story there is a book that is, well maybe I better just let you read it. I gave it a four out of five for good reason! It would have got a 5 outta 5 but it had spelling and grammatical errors and some parts of it were slow (but not for more than a few pages). A must read for a batman fan!

Read this a long time ago... actually, I TRIED to read it a long time ago, and put it down after the first 70 pages or so. Started off good but then went into a sort of hybernation mode after the fist 15 pages or so.

Very slow-moving storyline and boring.

Want a great Batman novel to read?

Try "No Man's Land". Best one I've ever read.

@todd gray- i agree i have the no mans land novel and it is simply amazing even better then the comics adaptation. the knightfall novel was pretty good. i also have the 2 books before fear itself. theres one called dead white which is good and then theres batman inferno with the joker but it really wasnt that good at least to me it wasnt. theres a couple of dc universe books one called inheritance and that is about batman green arrow, and aquaman and their 3 ex side kicks nightwing, arsenal and tempest and they fight deathstroke its a really good book
