COMICS: INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US Digital Comic Goes On Hitaus
The prequel comic series leading up to the events depicted in INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US will see its last digital issue with #36 until the new year.
DC has been publishing a digital comic series since before the April launch of Injustice: Gods Among us, chronicling the events leading up to the story of the game. Today will see the relesae of issue #36 and it will be the last new digital issue until January 2014. Those who have been picking up the book in print format will have issue to look forward to until December, when the print book catches up with the digital format, as well as an annual on November 13th.
Regrading the hiatus, the writer of the book Tom Taylor had this to say:
"I said early on that we had a definite ending in mind for our story. I knew that the story we were telling in these 36 chapters was essentially the break-up of the World's Finest friendship. When Superman and Batman's relationship became irreparable, that's when our story would end. That tale is told now. However, we have another story to tell in the pages of Injustice, and that story will begin in January 2014."
DC has issued a statement regarding the break, stating that the hiatus will allow them to focus on other digital comic properties, including a series inspired by next month's Batman: Arkham Origins.
