UPDATED: Slightly Altered Cap Uniform

address a nagging issue I had with the Cap suit. I really like and I think they did a great job. But I've put my finger on what the nagging issues are.

1. The hockey gear style shoulder pads.

2. The gray colored straps/lining on his upper body.


I've altered these two features to get an idea of what the costume would look like. I think there's potential for a costume improvement with these two simple changes. If anyone has decent photo shop skills and wants to make these suggested changes to the costume I'd like to see the end results. Here's my attempt.

I took a little more time altering this picture. it's marginally better than the first.

Great stuff daily:. I've been saying this for a while now. All that is left to do is shorten the sleeves just a bit more and enlarge the star and that's it. You have Captain America.

nice job.
i think, seeing as how this is Cap's upgraded WWII outfit, it works for a 1940's look. it's bulky, it's well, like anyone's first car. a clunker.
and i bet dollars to donuts that Cap is due for another upgrade in The Avengers courtesy of Howard Stark's son, Tony aka Iron Man.

I think the only thing I'd like to see - not sure I'd change it - but I'd like to see what the helmet looks like if the brown leather part by his ears was blue. The rest I would leave the same.

that looks terrible lol

the all blue on top looks so bland and bad the white/gray stripes nicely separate the colors

The only problem I have with it is the "purse strap" as Jakeroo calls it. Other than that it's great!

I like the alteration you've done
but I can accept what they've done too!

But yeah, that's the traditional look
and I love it! But I'm with HAWKS, make
the star on his chest bigger. It looks
a bit small on an all-blue background.

Yeah, I don't like that purse-strap
either! It covers up that proud white
star!

Hey DDD: I here you and what like many have said this is the 1940's version of the suit. I'm sure at the end of the movie we'll get a glimpse of the the suit we're all used to seeing.
