My Theory On Peter Parkers Parents In 'The Amazing Spiderman' And How It May Tie-In To Venom

The Amazing Spiderman movie has many similarities with the Ultimate Marvel Universe. A Venom movie has also been announced and is rumoured to tie-in to the The Amazing Spiderman in a way similar to that of The Marvel Cinematic Universe. A video game taking place in The Amazing Spiderman Universe was released set shortly after the events of the movie (and yes it will lead up to the sequel, unlike most video game adaptations such as Green Lantern: Rise Of The Manhunters that have little to do with the movie and will probably be ignored in any possible film sequels). In the video game, one of the villains was Scorpion. His origin was Dr. Otto Octavious (Dock Ock in the comics), a scientist at Oscorp, working on Cross Species Genetics (the program responsible for most of the villains in the Universe so far, such as The Lizard, Rhino, and Iguana), decided to cross human DNA with a Scorpion, only he added something new. The venom symbiote. All three created the villain known as scorpion. In Ultimate Spiderman comics, Peters father was working on the symbiote with Eddie Brocks (Venom) father as a cure for desease. In the comics, Peter also becomes friends with his ex-bully, Flash Thompson, who later joins the army. In the army, Flash loses his legs, and is given the Venom Symbiote and becomes Agent Venom, working for the government (as seen below). So we know that it can replace limbs. In the movie, we know Dr. Curt Conners is working to grow his one missing arm back through Cross Species Genetics at Oscorp, which leads to him becoming the Lizard. We also know that he worked with Peters parents and he said,"Your father and I were going to change the lives of millions. Including mine." So hears the theory. What if Peters parents were scientists at Oscorp, working with Conners on the Venom Symbiote as a cure for desease and as a substitute for missing limbs. And Dr. Octavious later found the symbiote and used it for Scorpion. Agree or disagree? I will be happy to read your opinions in the comments.

good theory but do you think venom would be included in the franchise so soon after spider-man 3?

This should be after the 3rd trilogy of Spiderman ends. So in like 2017 or 18

How do you know the video game leads into the sequel? Has there ever been a video game that had a story which impacted the movies? I don't think so.

i was wondering myself if anyone knew for sure if the games story was going to be in continuity with the movies. i haven't heard anything for definite.

the storyline in the game was pretty interesting tho. there is something special about peter's dna that makes it so he doesn't fully mutate. thought that was cool. and the character bios

With all due respect, it was confirmed in several different interviews before the game was even released that it would lead up to the sequel. I HIGHLY doubt that their going to do anything in which you have to play the game to understand but it will lead to sequel.

@darkknight2149 - right-o. then that's pretty cool. i like what they did with the story in there. so in asm 2, most likely not gonna mention giant robots tearing up the city then, i suppose :)

I doubt it, Sony said they won't be using any Villians from the previous trilogy(excluding green goblin) venom just won't fit, he would take up a whole film and this is a trilogy. It's possible but I don't want them to do it becasue we already got venom and I would like to see new baddies. And one more thing, I think his parents were working with Connors on the goblin serum to cure the diesead Norman Osborn but they find out his bad intentions and try to leave the job and Osborn says he'll kill them if they leave thus he destroys they're plane

@Spidey31 Well, I don't know if they'll use Venom in the trilogy or not (that hasn't been announced) but, like I said in the article, a Venom movie has been announced. The Venom movie tying in to The Amazing Spiderman like the Marvel Cinematic Universe did with their movies is just a rumour.
Spidey31 - 8/2/2012, 3:14 PM
Avi Arad said the venom movie will not tie into TASM

Not the best idea. Keep it simple here.

Highly doubtful that Venom will appear in this trilogy. We all know it's going to end with Gwen's death so I say give him a spin off and leave it at that cause i don't trust Sony anymore. They ruined him once. I'd rather not see it again
