In the past few years Brian Michael Bendis has become Marvel's go to writer working on Avengers versus X-Men, Ultimate Spider-Man, Battle of the Atom and Marvel NOW's All New X-Men, so granted he's the kind of guy who might have a few film scripts lying around.

When asked by a fan (jmills1312) about the best film and screenplay of 2013, Bendis had this to say:

Movie tie The Wolf of Wall Street/ Gravity
Screenplay: can’t say. It hasn’t been announced yet

What could this script be? Who knows, Black Panther, Doctor Strange and the Inhumans are all rumoured to be in the works, or could Bendis be being consulted on an Ultimate Spider-Man film?

@Jollem

Unfortunately.
Jollem - 12/31/2013, 7:15 AM
bendis is quality
Custer28 - 12/31/2013, 7:16 AM
whatever...
Tyrus - 12/31/2013, 7:19 AM
Lol if/when a Ms. Marvel movie is announced it will be the first time DC fanboys can jump Marvelites by saying that they came first. Basically WW in MoS 2 is Quicksilver in Avengers 2, and a Ms. Marvel announcement would be just like Evan Peters announced as joining DOFP as another QS... DC fans, rejoice, I guess :P

Feige has stated that Dr Strange will in all probability be part of phase 3 so it could well be that... what with the statement made earlier this year that Marvel want Dr Strange to be the 'Tony Stark' of the next phase or two.

I genuinely think that the Inhumans will have a movie in Phase 3 too as they have such strong connections to the Kree, who will be introduced via Ronan in the GOTG. This could mean a GOTG sequel in Phase 3 that introduces Blackagar etc.

I don't see a Black Panther movie happening until Phase 4 but I could be wrong... but I think that with the way that Phase 3 seems to be being set up as a cosmic infinity-type deal, the MCU need to get more of those characters introduced.

Who knows, maybe its a Hulk movie?
Tyrus - 12/31/2013, 7:22 AM
This movie Bendis is referring to HAS to be the second new property in Phase Three. Its pretty safe to say that Cap and Thor are getting third instalments anyway.
AstonishingArachnid - 12/31/2013, 7:27 AM
I think and hope it might be Black Panther. Both Stan Lee and Feige have confirmed that there is a script in the works and Stan Lee said that it was definitely being made. Maybe the two announcements at comic con could be Doctor Strange and Black Panther.
QuestiontheAnswer - 12/31/2013, 7:40 AM
^No Hulk.

Phase 3:

Ant-Man - 2015

Thor 3 - 2016

Captain America 3 - 2016/17

Doctor Strange/Black Panther/Inhumans - 2017

The Avengers 3 - 2018

The one thing I'm wondering is if they decide to have 6 films in Phase Three like Phase One... There's an empty slot in either 2016 or 2017. If they want to keep up their 2-movies a year promise, they'll fill it.

@monkeyballs

Batman vs. Superman will/should be the punch DC haters need to wake them up and realize marvel DOES have competition of making quality CBM.
Jollem - 12/31/2013, 8:25 AM
i dunno, MoS already crushed avengers and then there's the phenomenal dark knight trilogy
Ramiel - 12/31/2013, 8:34 AM
//i dunno, MoS already crushed avengers//

Haha! In what, box office revenue? Critics score? Or fans score?
DEVLIN712 - 12/31/2013, 8:36 AM
Every article on this site ends up becoming a Marvel DC shit throwing contest
Curmudgeon - 12/31/2013, 8:41 AM
... have you "list" people EVER been right?
Jollem - 12/31/2013, 8:48 AM
@TheTeat - based on quality of film
DEVLIN712 - 12/31/2013, 9:24 AM
Monkeyballs
Nah man, I was talking about Jollem and TheHeat's conversation
Jollem - 12/31/2013, 9:36 AM
@DEVLIN712 - okay. i'm just discussing things. not "shit throwing". i usually have shit thrown at me, but...whatever
ALmazing - 12/31/2013, 9:56 AM
Interesting.
SCURVYDOG619 - 12/31/2013, 9:56 AM
Could be the script for Age Of Ultron...

tomasocelot - 12/31/2013, 10:02 AM
I can't wait for the marvel documentary on GUSTO.
drfate - 12/31/2013, 10:11 AM
this slow news day is more like a No-news day.
MrEko - 12/31/2013, 10:17 AM
Iron Man 4.... Obviously. This starring RDj as RDj and a five minute cameo of an iron man suit.
Franshu - 12/31/2013, 10:31 AM
Inhumans would be awesome. Same with Dr Strange.
HotRodFan899 - 12/31/2013, 10:33 AM
It's probably Age of Ultron. If it's just a screenplay, then it's a movie they aren't filming yet but will be soon, and they haven't started filming Age of Ultron yet. So that's what it is.
HotRodFan899 - 12/31/2013, 10:34 AM
@DEVLIN712

I always thought of it as a dick measuring contest.
Ramiel - 12/31/2013, 10:44 AM
//based on quality of film//

So, is that why Avengers made more money, had better scores among critics and fans, and was also nominated for an Oscar?
marvel72 - 12/31/2013, 10:44 AM
please be the inhumans.
HurricaneXavier - 12/31/2013, 12:01 PM
Can't you kids read anything without making it into a pissing contest between DC and Marvel?

I like a lot of his work, hopefully its something hes helping with and not just something that hes read.

Ragnaroknroll - 12/31/2013, 12:11 PM
I agree. The childish Marvel/DC wars need to quit. It's become so tedious.

And I very much want to see a Black Panther film.
goatman - 12/31/2013, 12:12 PM
It's possible that he's not even talking about a comic book based script at all, since the context of the answer includes two non-comic book related films.
captain8ritain - 12/31/2013, 12:25 PM
The richest man on earth lost in space, could this be ironman/ gaurdiana, just like in bendis' comics?
bythepowercosmic - 12/31/2013, 12:34 PM
Who says it has anything to do with Marvel?
Melkaticox - 12/31/2013, 12:43 PM
@SotoJuiceMan Yeah, Batman vs Superman has totally not been announced.
rabid - 12/31/2013, 12:44 PM
He might be speaking of Jessica Jones tv pilot.
PeepingTom - 12/31/2013, 12:51 PM
If Batman V Superman is even half as shit as MoS, it will be a box office flop.

Or maybe it won't be a box office flop, but such a critical failure that the threequel will result in a flop. Either way, things are not looking good for DC.
Starkent94 - 12/31/2013, 1:38 PM
uhh....jollem? how did mos "crush" avengers exactly? avengers had witty writing and a tone that actually suited the characters, all mos ever did for superman is make him more like a batman who kills and shouts a lot and i'm a superman fan. Honestly, if i wanted to see destruction porn, i'd rather watch the bay transformer films which by the way, had better CGI than MoS.
HurricaneXavier - 12/31/2013, 3:00 PM
@Fangz

Yeah, I'm not an expert on the guy so that wasn't something I would know. I have been reading through most of his Avengers run though and have really enjoyed it.
RikiUndead - 12/31/2013, 4:16 PM
@worstusernameever
