Dragonball Z: Battle of Gods is the first animated Dragonball movie after seventeen years that will have a theatrical release. The last was the animated movie Dragon Ball: The Path to Power which is the longest animated film and was produced to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the franchise.



Several years after the titanic battle with Majin Boo that determined the fate of the entire universe, the Earth was at peace, but now faces a new danger…

“If there’s a god who creates planets and life in this world, then there is also a god who destroys…” The god of destruction Bilus, who maintains the balance of the entire universe, has awakened from a long slumber! Bilus is said to push the limits of destruction once displeased, and his awakening throws not merely Kaio but even Kaioshin into a panic. Hearing rumors of a Saiyan who defeated Freeza, Bilus and Whis track down Goku on Kaio’s planet. Thrilled to see a strong opponent after so long, Goku ignores Kaio’s warning and challenges Bilus to battle, but is helpless before his overwhelming power and defeated! “I hope there’s someone on Earth more worthwhile to destroy” With those unnerving words, Bilus departs. The threat of Bilus creeps up on Vegeta, Gohan, and the other warriors on Earth…Will Goku and co. be able to stop Bilus’ destruction!? The Earth’s mightiest warriors rise up again to face this overwhelming destroyer!!

@LP4 i suppose he is the son or something like that...however Toriyama said that this is the canonic sequel to dbz...dbgt wasn't made from him

@TankD Dragonball Z: Battle of Gods hits Japanese theaters on March 30, 2013. There is no word for European and American release date yet.

So, who was the "god who creates planets and life in this world?" Supreme Kai? Kami? Dende? According to this, the guardians from Namek are the earth's god:
