Iris? WTF was wrong with Diana?

Sounds bad! Maybe they want to appeal to the younger female audience.

But Arrow is a sick show and they better put him in the JL movie!

Hopefully this is just a casting call that is vaguely describes what they're looking for, rather than what is the final product.

So, Barry Allen's girl is gonna be Wonder Woman in this version? lol jk

Would rather have it on HBO, if you know what I mean.

No but seriously, CW is a terrible network.

Why is DC making movies and tv shows with titles that are related to the character? for example:
Batman: The Dark Knight
Superman: Man of Steel
Green Arrow: Arrow
Now Wonder Woman: Amazon
What's next? The Flash movie will be called "The Fastest Man Alive" or the next Green Lantern movie can be "In Brightest Day" and the Justice League movie can be just "JLA"

Oh wow this sounds like a train wreck...like the worst DC has had yet.

This kinda sounds like a Smallville version of WW.

3.) 'She will fight to the death to make the world safe for innocents and true romantics everywhere'. (What does that mean?)

Seriously, what the [frick] does that shit mean. OMG!!! DC's fail is so epic. Aaaargh, where's that schedule of MCU Phase II movies, i have to calm down.

.... oh my god.

WHAT'S WRONG WITH "DIANA"?

and please make her have powers. Please, someone at CW has to have some sense...

Don't lose hope, people!

But in all seriousness, I'll wait til it's on to make a final judgement on whether it's any good or not. I mean, it has to be better than that WW pilot, right?

I rather see a WW movie.

Sure...why not? I love DC's strategy of not making decent superhero films (not named Batman) and instead opting to make tv shows about superheroes...when they're not superheroes....

It's genius...

I think Iris is only a cover name for the casting sheet. Like how Avengers was called Group Hug or Captain America was called Frost Bite.

There's still nothing for me to judge here though, so i'm personally nothing more than Optimistic.

I thought the Pilot for Arrow was terrible and I have not bothered to watch the show since.

This sounds like more of CWs crap.

Isis...Really???
If your going this far to make her a warrior this time that is out of place. Why not just make Diana?

What is so hard about making a WW show? Epic facepalm SMMFH

What the hell does that even mean?!lmao

SN: It's time I REALLY start getting caught up with the new 52. Starting January, I'm getting an ass of TPB.lol
WW, Swamp Thing, I Vampire, and Batman are the ones I need to get caught up on.

It sounds like a modern Xena:Warrior Princess. That being said I wish that Lucy Lawless would have been Wonder Woman in her prime. :D
Even though she is still "Eye Candy" now, she would pass more as either the goddess Athena or Queen Hippotola [I am pretty sure I spelled that wrong]

I guess its better than nothing. At least WB is releasing something besides batman and superman but yeah I have no idea whats going through their heads.

WHy does everything have to have a "twilight" twist to it?

I love Arrow and I understand the "no-superpowers" thing with that show since he has no powers, but this pisses me off. Wonder Woman has unbelievable powers, and they're not going to showcase them? Not even call her by her name?!?! WB is just using the no-superpowers as an excuse that they can't get one of their shows on a major network. Once again, I love what they're doing with Arrow though.

TheFox
TheFox - 11/29/2012, 7:51 PM
Interesting! It sounds like they've at least nailed her personality...

Honestly, I think the name "Isis" is just a code name for the character so that they aren't inundated with actresses who want to play Wonder Woman. That would also explain why there isn't a single reference to superheroics or powers here; they're looking for the character first. But if all the character traits they've assigned to her are accurate, THAT IS A GOOD THING-- this is exactly what the people behind the last Wonder Woman pilot SHOULD have done with the character.

Still, I would much rather see Wonder Woman in a movie than a T.V. show.
