Complete Casting List To Date On J.J. Abrams' SciFi Pilot HUMAN
One of the pilots hoping to go to series this Fall is Fox's Human, from executive producers JJ Abrams and J.H. Wyman, which represens a reteaming of the two who had worked together on the five-years of the recently-concluded Fringe.
Human takes place in the not-to-distant future where Los Angeles cops are paired with human-like androids. What follows below is a breakdown of who has been cast so far.
KARL URBAN: Cast in the lead role of John Kennex, described as a respected police officer who has shut down emotionally after a tragic mission that claimed the lives of nine of his fellow elite officers and left him critically injured. Urban, of course, also plays Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy in JJ Abrams' movieverse of Star Trek.
MICHAEL EALY: Portraying Kennex's android partner Dorian, who understands humanity more than Kennex does.
MACKENZIE CROOK: He's playing Rudy Lom, architect behind the LAPD's robotics squad.
MICHAEL IRBY: LAPD Detective Richard Paul who blames Kennex for the death of fellow officers in the tragic mission that casts a pall over the department.
LILI TAYLOR: Maldonado, an ambitious and determined police captain who is willing to make sacrifices for the greater good.
