Marvelous!!
Truth be told the top comic book creators both new & old need more recognition.
Comic book creators need more recondition for great work on the stuff that is making cinema great again.

The young people should go back & read older comics as well as new stuff, the writing & art are to be praised.
I wish the creators as a whole made bigger bucks but a few can strike gold like a Todd MacFarlane & Robert Kirkman.
Oh yea,Stan Lee has done well for himself..Excelsior you slick bastard,Ha!

"...Marvel Comics has grown to become the home of the most recognizable and beloved characters in all of fiction".

Hm, ever heard of Batman and Superman?
And that's just comics.

That being said this book looks pretty good.
dethpillow - 6/24/2014, 4:42 AM
this sounds fun. Recently to cap off the end of Superior Spider-Man Team-Up, they had Sal Buscema and Ron Frenz do the art on it. Cuz the story was about how Doc Ock and Green Goblin once tried to team up and how that ended up working out. The story was written well, but just seeing that old style of art, done now and still feeling right, but kind of changed over the time as well, it felt so good.

and you realize that it's not just the actual drawing of things, but a whole different sense of composition and movement to the panels that was common back then.

And that's one of the ways that I think changes in technology totally end up affecting what you do.

Like when everything about this process was analog, meaning typically pencil, inked, add lettering on top, printed with color...all physically and also just how comics meant a different thing than they do now, bunch of stuff like that also, and just how the physical copy ended up being all that existed really... i think all that stuff can add up to really change, and in this case, i think most modern comics really have so much less sense of movement. at least clear and to the point movement. it feels a lot like what hearing bands do songs now. how just the way that you have the option of doing 50 takes and comping together what you're gonna use and doing stuff once and copy pasting it. digital recording doesn't just sound worse, it makes people make poor decisions or no decisions also. there's advantages also for sure, purely psychologically even. i mean there's kinds of composition that would never be thought of unless we were taping on computers instead of reel to reels, but so much is lost also.

I'm excited to see what artists they end up using in some this stuff, this sounds super interesting to me.

i wish it was possible for bands to get back together and put out new stuff that felt the same as their great stuff did. That never ever seems to work out as well.
