ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN - "RHINO" Preview Clip

@figuremaniac no it's the worst marvel show ever made.

The show is great. It's not meant for an older crowd, my 4yr old, who is just getting in to superheros, loves the show, he's all about spiderman because of it. And it's something I can enjoy with him.

And i actually think the animation is pretty good. It's mythology, it can be made for every age group.

Man if you don't like it, no one said you had to like it. These guys are doing a better job with Spider-Man than Dan Slott is doing in the actual comics.

If you want to watch a good Spider-Man show with a fairly solid comic foundation, get Netflix and watch Spider-Man The Animated Series from the 90s.

Yeah, forget what Slott has done with the character. THIS is the worst thing Marvel has ever done with Spider-Man. The Spectacular Spider-Man was THE BEST show for the character to date and IMO, was up there with Batman Animated Series. This cartoon is lame. It sells toys. That is all.

I completely forgot about that show. I don't know that I would compare it to BTAS, and Spider-Man The Animated Series was a pretty great show as well. In an odd way Spectacular Spider-Man is to Spider-Man The Animated Series as The Batman is to Batman The Animated Series. A new look with a similar story with new voice acting.

However, I strongly disagree with your statement, "This is the worst thing Marvel has ever done with Spider-Man." Spider-Man is now Doc Ock because of Dan Slott. That is an abomination in my opinion. He killed the character, then brought him back as a subconscious to Ock-Spidey... It's stupid. Ultimate Spider-Man is just another look at what could be if Spider-Man didn't go out as a loner all the time. He's learning to be a responsible and better version of himself through SHIELD. He is still the same character. Witty, young, superhuman, and hated by Jameson. They haven't changed his characterization or his origin. It's just a different take on his rise to becoming a great hero.

90s to early 2000s were allowed much darker tones than today's children's tv. Also, Wolverine and the Xmen, Spectacular Spidey, and Avengers are all toned down TV shows. IMO. The only real dark toned show on tv that I have seen lately is Young Justice and it's targeted towards an older audience.

@Rhino4508 they aren't toned down at all. And even if they where, the writing is far more intelligent and can be viewed by all ages, unlike this. Here's the thing all then shows I mentioned can be viewed by kids ages 5 and up, so the argument it's for kids doesn't work.

I hope rhino and cage duke it out one on one.

The only thing immature here are the haters who want to complain about same thing every time there's a Ultimate Spider-Man article (worst Marvel show ever, Peter Parker is immature, bring back Spectacular). I gotta go with Rhino on this one. He seems the only one using reasonable constructive criticism.

@Rhino4508 TAKE in mind, Peter Parker will eventually be Spider-Man again. And I agree, it sucks they even have to pull these status quo stunts to boost sales, but again, Peter will take back his mantle. I'll sit back for the ride. Slott is one of the best writers out there.

THIS CARTOON;however, is NOW and there's no bringing back Spectacular. That cartoon dealt with serious issues that make Peter Parker Spider-Man. They balanced all the women in his life, him struggling to make end's meat for his aunt and the action was AMAZING! Choreography was better than Spider-Man 3.

This animation, ugh. Makes my stomach cringe. And the voice...annoying as well. This just feels forced. Like both Avengers and Spider-Man came out to the movies. So here's some diarrhea for you to watch combining both.

I don't mind him teaming up with other heroes, but I do have beef with him riding motorcycles and scoring new costumes all the time. And the 4th wall business? Uhh we have Deadpool for that.

That 90's cartoon was okay, but something tells me, if you watched it again, you may change your mind. But hey, just my opinion. I just know, it's not for me.

Agreed. I use to always walk up and down toy isle and see Batman with jet packs or Flash with a motorcycle. I'd be like, only a toy. Only a toy. Spider-Man would never need a motorcycle...

WAIT! NOPE! HE DOES! IN THIS CRAPFEST!

Still love this show. And Fury isn't teaching him responsibility; he's teaching him how to use his powers in a way that isn't as destructive. He does make note to remind Peter that Ben's lesson goes beyond just using your powers save people, but he doesn't teach him Ben's lesson. If you haven't noticed Spider-Man is already responsible in the fact that before Nick even stepped in he protected people from harm during the battles just not too much effort at caring for property damage. Something Spider-Man has dealt with both in the comics and other TV shows.

But regardless, you don't like it. So what? It's interesting. It's entertaining. It's a better story then having Peter give up his love story with Mary Jane to save Aunt May or killing him off and giving Ock his body memories and powers while he plays a subconscious "Don't kill them". They make him young again, put him on a team and you call it shit. They continue to rape his series, and you say, "it's ok they'll just fix it all later on."
