Marvel has released this teaser posing the question of who will end up taking the mantle of 'Captain America' after Steve Rogers' return.

i think bucky will hand the shield back over to steve out of respect. but steve will give it back saying something like "i'll come back for it when it is no longer a crime to wear a mask."
steve will become his own generic cap version like nomad or something because he did have a falling out with the gov't during civil war.

I think Bucky should die..sorry, I like him as Cap as much as anyone but Steve is the rightful Cap. They should silence the critics of Marvel and kill off Bucky...FOR GOOD.

Gotta be Steve. Bucky has done a great job and the stories have been great with Bucky, but the simple truth is that Bucky is not Cap. Bucky needs to die heroically and Steve needs to come back. If for no other reason than I have hated the damnable Alex Ross Red white blue and black suit since it debuted.

If you're reviving a character, its because he will do what he has been doing since day one... So in other words, Steve Rogers will be Cap America... Bucky is sucky...

I think it's more likely that Steve will just hold off on becoming Cap again until it gets closer to movie time. I don't think Bucky will go anywhere, yet.

should be steve, but marvel may run with bucky for awhile.
rogers may don another ego maybe similar to "nomad" or "the captain" for awhile.
but there can be only one real CA, sorry bucky

Steve should become a new super hero, kinda like a roaming masterless ronin. Lets keep this Marvel change for good! I say keep Bucky as the Cap because Cap is a symbol not a man. Let the great man himself, Steve Rodgers, carve out a new niche in the Marvel U. Whats say you CBM?

Now this is a toughy...I thought it was awesome that Bucky took up the shield after Steve fell, Cap is one of those heroes that is more the symbol, than the actual person. And Cap was one of the few Marvelites to have an old sidekick. It all worked awesomely...but now that Steve's back, idk...he was, and is, Captain america, but I really liked the Bucky idea...I'm undecided

Imagine if Ed Brubaker got to help write the script for the film.. That would be awesome.. I'm really enjoying Captain America Reborn!

Haven't read issue 3, although it's right here beside me lol!

Time for change. Leave Bucky as Cap and have Steve Rogers as the Patriot or whatever with armor.

Better than Captain America 1.0 and Captain America 2.0.

Though I definitely think that Steve should take on the mantle of Captain America again, I hope that Bucky goes nowhere! If they're not gingto keep him around as another Cap then they should definitely have him take on his Winter Soldier identity or even a modern variation of the original Bucky costume! I really hope that they dont do what DC did with Jason Todd - after bringing back the character they went the predictable route of turning him into an all out villain! Hopefully, Bucky will be around for a long time to come..! :)

steve's going to come back and help take down norman osborn and his dark reign. then he should let bucky stay as cap, and steve should become director of shield. but then again, they wouldn't have gone through all this revival nonsense if steve wasn't going to be cap again,

bucky deserves to remain as cap for a little while...just like dick is doing well as bats...bucky has come into his own and brubaker knows this...when steve returns he will be tied up in his skull/dr doom revenge after what they did to him...and right now marvel needs a CAP AMERICA WITH HIS AVENGERS...and i think steve will not be able to defend the MU until he sorts his own plight out..hence why bucky will continue to lead cap's assault on the dark reign while steve handles his shit...i think rogers will return but not as cap...just yet...i think he's gonna help bring norman down...which will not come that soon as we think as MARVEL SIEGE is still to occur...so i think rogers is gonna work with fury...and possibly succeed nick as director of shield in the future or simply take over as rogue leader against osborn....his cap days will come again but not so soon...
as for me there is only one steve rogers...but to hell with it...bru has done well with bucky..and to me there will be 2 caps...bucky has been phenomenal and evn made me not miss steve at times..

I WANT STEVE BACK! Sorry Bucky's great and all but as long as Steve's around he's not Captain America. That's like if Bruce Wayne died then Dick became Batman then Bruce came back. Bruce will alway be Batman and Steve will always be Captain America.

note how steve's half of the shield is old as opposed to bucky's...buckycap is gonna stay guys!!!...as for steve's return...tony's breakdown and thor's impending return to mainstream MU is itching me...WHEN..WHEN??...cuz i wanna see thor hammer doom and loki's asses all over osborn's tower...

The current "Reborn" arc is some of the worst trite to come out for a while. Freaking spiritual time travel and a whole bunch of poo poo.
Rogers needs to stay dead, Bucky is the new Cap. Bringing him back in the first place was a slap in face.

Bucky was/is a place-holder. You don't have to like it, but this is how the story was always meant to go. Originally Brubaker planned to bring Steve back by issue #30. You really thought Cap would stay dead in a book that brought back the only guy to stay dead since Uncle Ben?! Personally I think Winter Soldier is a much cooler character for Bucky anyway, but only Steve is Cap.

Let Bucky has his due for awhile and hopefully if they do decide to give it back to Steve, it will be well done and not some hacky trash like how they did the SpiderMan story with the whole world forgetting he was Peter Parker. Whatever happens, Bucky cant go the route of Jason Todd. By the way...Bucky's Captian America costume is the shit,....one of the best costume reinventions ive seen in awhile.

i agree, cap has one of the most iconic, and coolest costumes in comics, but if it had to be reinvented, i don't see it being any better than bucky-cap's! i love it

Captain America: Reborn is a brillant series and with every page you can tell that Brubaker has been plannig this out and setting the story up since Cap's death way back in #2.

Im not sure if Cap (Steve Rogers) should have a big part in Dark Reign...if Spider-Man isnt the one to take Osborn down Im gonna be gutted!

I think cap will let bucky keep the shield for a little longer and steve will take up the mantle of ronin till clint gets busted out of hammers hold and when his movie get closer he will take up the mantle of cap again and clint will take up being hawkeye again and bucky will be ronin thats what i think

i dont think cap or bucky will be ronin...to me maya lopez is the only person who can don that costume besides barton...

@corndog...dude thor's SI was a cameo to me...at best...by mainstream i mean constantly in the MU (as buckycap has been in the new avengers)...thor is back in the world but not mainstream...in fact JMS left becuz he didnt wanna bring thor into a mainstream crossover...SIEGE OF ASGARD i think was what JMS didnt wanna do as he wanted thor outa dat marvel dark reign...but eventually thor has to come back in...his SI along with buckycap was really underwhelming i found...

as for who ends osborn's reign...well it better be spidey...and i hopr barton or daredevil isn't gonna end bullseye's terror but it will be elektra i think..
barton should return as hawkeye!!!!!

I think that should Steve decide to take the shield back, not having Bucky step down gracefully would be severly out of character.

Bucky just needs to take a lesson from Dick Grayson and just do a Nightwing type thing on his own. He definitely needs to be his own man now.
