With an official press release mentioning only Selina Kyle, hints from various sources that Anne Hathaway would be wearning some impressive attire and the actresses recent slip of the tongue stating that she'd be playing "Catwoman", it's getting kind of hard to keep up with what kind of interpretation we'll see of the character. Well, looks like Jim Gordon himself may have just helped clear things up a little for us!

My drab greys and beiges (laughs). I went to the production offices the other day and there’s all these fantastic pictures across the wall, Catwoman, this, that, and I thought where’s my wall? I don’t have a wall, I just have a rack of very very dull clothes (laughs). I’m looking forward to working with the gang again, Academy Award winning Christian Bale, I bet he won’t get my coffee anymore (laughs).

Sounds to me like he's seen some concept art of the costume! What do you guys think? Be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place. With an all star cast which includes Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Garly Oldman as Jim Gordon, Tom Hardy as Bane and Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, The Dark Knight Rises is set to be released on July 20, 2012!

DavidPalmer - 3/9/2011, 8:38 PM
He's has nothing else to talk about in those interviews, the movie looks like straight doo-doo
Jagfan28 - 3/9/2011, 8:53 PM
Let's see with Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, possibly Marion Cotillard, and maybe Robin Williams this movie will/would have 5 Oscar winners. Anne Hathaway was nominated for an Oscar so make that 5 and a half. Then there is also Wally Pfister and Richard King who have won for Cinematography and Sound Editing. So that's 7 and a half. Then we can count Heath Ledger who won for The Joker. Maggie Gyllenhaal has also been nominated for an Oscar. So a total of 9 people associated with Oscars who had to do with this movie. And I just bored you all.
soberchimera - 3/9/2011, 9:00 PM
The fact that Gary hasn't even been nominated just goes to show how the Academy has gone down the toilet. The oscars are almost as bad as the grammys, they didn't even nominate Nolan for best director.
NeoBaggins - 3/9/2011, 9:22 PM
Gary needs not feel unappreciated. James Gordon is one of my favorite characters in the series abouve Bruce Wayne himself.
mounted88 - 3/9/2011, 9:25 PM
Jagfan @ How do Heath Ledger and Maggie Gyllenhaal have anything to do with TDKR. Why would you include them in your tally of Oscar winners/nomanations asociated with this movie?
Justice - 3/9/2011, 9:30 PM
And why is Morgan Freeman coming back for 3? I liked in the first 2, but his job as Lucious Fox...is OVER!
TheGODDAMNEDDaddySmalls - 3/9/2011, 9:37 PM
@DavidPalmer, is it the TDKR that YOURE directing that looks like poo poo ? Because I think it is.
GraysonsCowl - 3/9/2011, 9:38 PM
His job as Lucius isn't over. Who's going to run Wayne enterprises.
Checkmate - 3/9/2011, 9:42 PM
Lol @TheGODDAMNEDDaddySmalls I think he was talking about Red Riding Hood.
steelrocks - 3/9/2011, 9:46 PM
Anne Hathaway already said it quite explicitly (on Oprah I believe) that she's catwoman.

Do people need it written in stone to believe it???

YOU BASTARDS ARE BYTCHES!
Jagfan28 - 3/9/2011, 9:59 PM
@mounted88 Well if it were not for The Dark Knight then there would be no TDKR.
MurphyRobocop - 3/9/2011, 10:14 PM
@Justice Lucious's job isn't over, he said as long as the cell phone computer thing was at Wayne Enterprises he wouldn't be. So when he typed his name in at the end is shut down for good.
BatLantern - 3/9/2011, 10:32 PM

Superman75 - 3/10/2011, 12:16 AM
I hope it's good. Most of the third films end up being bad.

?
ThunderCougarFalconBird - 3/10/2011, 12:44 AM
Justice - his job isn't over at all. He said that as long as that machine existed he would not work for Wayne Industries. The machine was destroyed so there's no reason for him to leave. Even if he did still leave he has the right to withdraw his resignation and even he he's gone for good he still plays a huge role in Batmans life and could be called upon to create something new.
Jer3miah - 3/10/2011, 1:22 AM
I'm somewhat cautious as to how Nolan will handle the actual character of Catwoman as apposed to what I said before about it just being Selina Kyle. Aaaah..

"I like these calm little moments before the storm. It reminds me of Beethoven" - Gary Oldman aka Norman Stansfield.

NOLAN WILL BREAK THE THIRD MOVIE CURSE, THIRDS ARE ALWAYS OVERBLOWN OVERPRICED AND RIDE THE STEAM OF ITS PREDECESSORS TO MAKE IT MONEY..NOLAN IS FOCUSING ON STORY, I CANT WAIT FOR THIS MOVIE.
ninzen - 3/10/2011, 6:18 AM
Gary Oldman rocks!

The first movie I remember seeing him in that blew me away was Lost In Space! He played an excellent and chilling Dr Smith.

Then in Leon: The Professional he did another fantastic job!

I was so happy when I found out he was going to be Gorden in BB because I knew he would knock it out of the park.

I also have to ask, why has he not even received consideration for any movie awards? The man is probably the best actor going at the present moment.
AlexdoxA - 3/10/2011, 6:46 AM
BOLDman!!!!!
imnotwearinghockeypants - 3/10/2011, 7:07 AM
Really wishing Catwoman was not a part of this film. She'll be the one who is planted at Wayne Corp by a rival company ( which will likely be a front for a gangster, who is referred to as The Penguin in the criminal community) to spy from within. Her spying will lead her to the realization that Bruce Wayne is Batman.
BlackRobin98 - 3/10/2011, 7:13 AM
of COURSE she will be in the costume and of COURSE she wil lbe Catwoman in this movie. Do ppl still doubt that?? I mean if they did it with Harvey Dent who has a character (alter ego - Harvey) that CAN carry a film and a story with out Two Face in the same movie. THEN there is NO way that they will definately NOT have a character (Selina Kyle in this case) who can NOT carry a movie/storyline keeping interest withOUT her alter ego Catwoman appearing. I mean talk about a character whereas the whole time you see her on film you're imagining her and waiting for her to appear in costume. Think back to the scene on the roof lifted from TL>Halloween with Dent, Gordon and 'Bats' can any1 with a straight face say they watched that scene and had Two Face on their mind. Or were you just captivated by the character of Dent alone. Dent can do this, he can carry a film/story line just being Dent and yet they had him transform so they will DEF have Anne's Selina transform to Catwoman being a character that can NOT carry a storyline/film just as Selina.
ThunderCougarFalconBird - 3/10/2011, 7:22 AM
ninzen - if you like his Dr Smith (which was by far the highlight of that movie) try watching The 5th Element and Bram Stokers Dracula. The guy is a chameleon of acting talent!!
AlexDeLarge87 - 3/10/2011, 8:10 AM
Ron@ agree on that!:D

Gary´s greatest!:)
Vlad Dracul from Bram Stoker´s Dracula

Sirius Black from Harry Potter movies (He and Ralph Fiennes are my favorite characters in the whole series)

Hitman Lynch from Dead Fish

DEA-Agent Norman Stansfield from Leon: The Professional

Drexl Spivey from True Romance

James Gordon

Gang leader Carnegie from The Book of Eli

Mason Verger from Hannibal

Dr. Zachary Smith from Lost in Space

Jean-Baptiste Emanuel Zorg from The Fifth Element

Corrupt cop Jack Grimaldi from Romeo is Bleeding

And
John Simon Ritchie aka Sid Vicious from Sid & Nancy

mounted88 - 3/10/2011, 8:21 AM
jagfan@ ok then lets include Liam Neilson, Katie Holmes in that also, because with out Batman Begins their was no TDK right?
SoulAllFlush - 3/10/2011, 9:05 AM
Love Gary Oldman. Guy has such a range, as @AlexDeLarge87's pictures show.
trytan - 3/10/2011, 9:57 AM
Well I was reading comments and wanted to post something about the catwoman suit but Grif's highly intelectual input just blew my mind. lol. Seriously though, I hope they go with the more modern look (goggles ect) as oppose to a crappy look (like Berry's).
