Fox have already alienated many of the hardcore X-Men fans with the changes they've seemingly made to the much loved comic book continuity in X-Men: First Class, and it looks like they've now done something else which will win them no fans. Taking to his Twitter feed, Stan Lee has revealed that he doesn't have a cameo in the movie and seemed to be pretty much in the dark about the entire thing! I know that production was rushed, but they couldn't squeeze in a cameo for the guy who created the team in the first place?

Grim news have I for my brave Brigadiers. Gird thee thy loins the better to prove that thou canst suffer the bad along with the good

It hath come to my attention that “X-Men 1st Class” shall soon be released. Thus, thou hath the good news. Now for the bad--

Incredible as it may seemeth, NO CAMEO doth appear of thy beloved Generalissimo in “X-Men 1st Class!” I pause whilst thy shock sinketh in

Mayhap ‘tis but a sly ruse to lure fans into buying TWO admissions. “How?” asketh thee. Consider thou this---

Not seeing thy leader’s cameo, fans will feel they somehow blinked at the wrong time and buy another ticket to remedy that indiscretion

So, if “X-Men 1st Class” breaketh all at6tendance records, we and we alone shall knoweth the reason why. Excelsior!

X-Men: First Class is set to be released in the UK on June 1st and in the US on June 2nd.

@SKOne

Yeah in Xmen 1 he's the hotdog vendor when Senetor Kelly comes oout of the sea, i don't recall seeing him in Xmen 2 but in Xmen 3 he's at the very beginning during the flashback Jean Grey lifts all the cars up and theres a guy out in his garden sprinkling his lawn with a hose and the water goes upwards well my friend the guy holding the hose is none other than Stan "The Man" Lee

A new reason to hate on Fox/Singer, a minor fail but, it just shows how far off the mark they are in the Comic book movie making biz. SUCK IT FOX/SINGER THIS MOVIE WILL FAIL!!!
marvel72 - 5/12/2011, 6:57 PM
i respect stan lee even more now,why don't you ask him who should be in the first class line up.
JULEZ13 - 5/12/2011, 6:58 PM
lol only a guy Stan's age will still be able to speak Shakespearean as if it's still a modern language.

@DosEquis211: You're right. It's like he's giving a mini-warning to not waste our money on this crap of a movie!

It's a damn shame he's not in it! I wasn't gonna watch it either way anyway.
Rocket38 - 5/12/2011, 6:59 PM

simon - 5/12/2011, 7:02 PM
he wasn't in X2, and that was everyone's favorite.
SageMode - 5/12/2011, 7:04 PM
He probably sensed how much of a s**t-stained this movie is gonna be. Lol
DeadPoolLax - 5/12/2011, 7:05 PM

Tk421 - 5/12/2011, 7:08 PM

nuck82 - 5/12/2011, 7:10 PM
stan: oh your going to make a movie called the xmen 1st class!! great!! love it!!

fox: yes stan we are, but we arent going to use anything from the comics you wrote, we are going to make it up as we go, there will only be 2 people from your origenal 1st xmen class, prof x and best, then we are just going to get a dart bored with mutant names on it and just start thowing darts and what ever it lands on we will use.

stan: o_O

fox: so stan lets talk about your specail cameo that you do in all your marvel movies.

stan: go [frick] yourself fox

@CaptainProg true!

@DosEquis211 double true! lmao

@vaver16 how dare you disrespect Stan Lee jk

@simon this is true... X2 was the best out of the series but... FOX still sucks ass
ComicsCommando - 5/12/2011, 7:15 PM
I love Stan, but just because he isn't in First Class doesn't mean it will suck. Thor would not have been any different if it had some other guy playing Stan's part, he didn't have a big impact on the story at all and never does in any of the Marvel films. You guys can sit at home when this releases and miss out if you want to, I'll be sitting in the theater enjoying the movie.
Curmudgeon - 5/12/2011, 7:19 PM
Y'know... even if he WAS in it, I bet people would be complaining about continuity because he looks older in First Class in the 60's than he does in X-Men 1 in the 2000's.

:P :P :P
DarthTesla - 5/12/2011, 7:19 PM
DEATH TO KEVIN BACON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chellerbelle - 5/12/2011, 7:24 PM
@Curmudgeon

I agree completely, hahahahaha :D
BlackSands - 5/12/2011, 7:30 PM
LOL this made my day... Love how Stan "THE MAN" Lee did a ye olde english jab on Twitter. Some kids nowadays don't get the classics. Trust me, there are some movies you don't wanna see twice - most especially in 3D - 2D probably, but seeing movies in constant 3D is a migraine I NEVER want to have happen.

PS... saw the guy personally a few years back, the guy doesn't have douche bone in his body. Once you get him talking about his love for his work and his experience in the business - he barely stops - he even admitted a few regrets, but overall... he said that the best times he's had far outweighs the negative aspects. Excelsior indeed!
comicb00kguy - 5/12/2011, 7:36 PM
Horror of horrors! No Stan Lee cameo? There might be something good about this film after all! Lee reminds me of one of my Grandpa's old sayings: if I could buy him for what he's worth, and sell him for what he thinks he's worth, I'd be a very rich man.
Spock - 5/12/2011, 7:37 PM
Have @ the Fox. For thou has taken untold liberties with thY Characters. I give thou thY FINGER!!!! I love Stan!!!!
BlindLemonShemp - 5/12/2011, 7:48 PM
stan lee was in x2 im almost positive... he was either a janitor in the white house when nightcrawler attacked or worked at the museum when all the students were on the field trip...

its gotta be one of those two... i wish stan lee would make a tv remake of columbo starring himself... that would be the greatest thing ever
MovieTheaterLad - 5/12/2011, 7:56 PM
Meh. No big deal.

You guys claim that because he won't appear in it means it will suck. Well he appeared in both Fantastic Four movies, and most of you hated them.

So pssshhh.
JLAvenger23 - 5/12/2011, 7:57 PM
Stan rules, this is definitively a masck on everyone's face, his and on ours, the fans....

Even more fail from myself to that XMen flick, it simply didn't catch me since the beginning, and now to know these news makes me go less optimistic and wanting to see it.... Boo, shame on you Fox and Synger.... >=(
BlackSands - 5/12/2011, 8:01 PM
...I betcha that after this tidbit, there'll be a re-shoot with him in it...
Daybot - 5/12/2011, 8:16 PM
@SynisterUrge - That's just moronic.

Movie looked crap anyways.
Kalabog - 5/12/2011, 8:17 PM
Don't fret Stan. Perhaps they'll just slap a portrait of the beloved Generalissimo somewhere like a poster or newspaper clipping. Problem solved. No need to trouble you plus you deserve a break.
dahamma - 5/12/2011, 8:23 PM
SOunds like he's still on a THOR high lol
BlackSands - 5/12/2011, 8:31 PM
@TheIntruder... that gif's creepy... sorta reminds me of my Ex when she went psycho.... :P
xXkryptoniteXx - 5/12/2011, 8:52 PM
He was in xmen when Kelly came out from the beach and x3 as a neighbor of Jean grey watering his yard. It's always cool when his in marvel movies as a cameo, but it looks like the new xmen is trying to be a good movie and let's hope it is, I just re watched x3 and I didn't finish it, left after professor x died. Interesting and touching moment but no heart from magneto, that's one of the many fails of xmen 3.
MovieTheaterLad - 5/12/2011, 8:52 PM
Guys, he wasn't in X2.

I just saw the movie like three days ago.
helacaster - 5/12/2011, 8:53 PM
