The Amazing Spider-Man Trailer To Debut With Transformers: Dark Of The Moon?

According to one apparently reliable site, the first teaser trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man is set to be unveiled alongside Transformers: Dark of the Moon! Hit the jump for details...

According to Movie-List, it looks like the first trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man will debut with Michael Bay's Transformers: Dark of the Moon this coming July. The site is apparently both very reliable and very accurate, but as ever, it's worth taking the following with a pinch of salt. What follows is an excerpt from both the article itself and subsequent posts in the comments section by its author. It's a little hard to explain without copying and pasting the entire conversation, but as you can see, an emphasis is put on the "BIG" trailer being Spider-Man related!

Also, there will be a BIG trailer debut coming with 'Transformers 3' for one of next summers major tentpoles. But thats all i'm saying for now. I think you of all people, Spider-Man 101, will be able to figure it out!

See what I mean? For more, head on over to the site. With the latest movie from Michael Bay almost guaranteed to bring in a huge audience, I'd say it's extremely likely that we'll see the trailer this coming July, especially alongside one of 2011's biggest 3D movies. I would sincerely hope this teaser will be Spidey web slinging out of the cinema screen and into the audience. You'd at least have thought someone over at 20th Century would have come up with this idea.

Most people don't like it whenever I mention it, it only works for movies like Avatar but not every movie needs 3D. Matthew Vaughn didn't make X-Men 3D and Nolan didn't make Batman 3D...cause they know it's stupid. I do anticipate a great Spider-Man movie though, and I will not care to watch in 3D, I'll just watch it in the regular theater. lol I feel like an old man: "Ah don't like all this new age technology."

I have no interest in seeing and movies in 3D (except dreamworks/pixar animated movies) but I do want to see spidey in 3D.

I hope...as for this movie...I will not be making any judgments until I see a trailer...the first spider-man movie was [frick]ing' amazing...but after that it just flopped on it's ass... so I hope the same doesn't happen again...I for one don't have any problems with the new costume, but casting a Brit as an American...will not go over well...it seems like the villains are now taking over the comic-book movies...

It would mess up the story line, but at the same time with four different directors tied to this franchise, the continuety(spell check) was [frick]ed from the get go. So to answer your question, No, i dont think they will go that route even though it would be cool. Spiderman is by far my favorite, so i have high hopes for this film! spiderman 1 and 2 were great, but 3 was a big let down for me.
