Anne Hathaway Describes Her "Insane" Times Filming TDKR And More!

Bored of hearing from Anne Hathaway yet? Me too! However, here's a few interesting interview excerpts about her time working with Christian Bale and director Chris Nolan, as well as the "indie" feel to the production and much more...

Talking to the Canadian press while promoting her new movie, One Day, actress Anne Hathaway has said that director Christopher Nolan is doing "insane things" with his latest installment in the Batman franchise.

"Honestly, wait until you see this movie. It's going to be marvellous and it's going to be way beyond what anyone imagines it could be," she added. The actress, who as you know plays Selina Kyle/Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises also says she's having an "absolute blast" working with Nolan and star Christian Bale.

"The thing that's most wonderful about Chris is that he's the most successful filmmaker in Hollywood - yet his movies aren't Hollywood. It feels like you're making an indie. He's actually a really alternative filmmaker. He just happens to have like a seven-billion-dollar budget!"

"You can't imagine the things that he's doing. At least, I couldn't until I read the script!"

And here's a separate video interview with the actress gets a wee bit offended when asked about losing weight for the role, and STILL sticks to the name "Selina Kyle" while talking about her character in The Dark Knight Rises.

Theodora - 8/11/2011, 10:49 AM
She's very funny..."it takes three of us"
CaptainTall - 8/11/2011, 10:52 AM
Well, I'm now COMPLETELY sold. She's perfect for the role. It's the laugh.
SamHell - 8/11/2011, 10:53 AM

sheebz - 8/11/2011, 10:53 AM

yeoldeemoney - 8/11/2011, 10:54 AM
"I'm just f...I'm just messing with you." Lulz
Stumblin - 8/11/2011, 10:54 AM
Her laugh scares me a little, and when she called him a young man, I thought to myself...You're like 29, not 60.
PaulRom - 8/11/2011, 10:56 AM
Yeah, she's gonna be fantastic.
PaulRom - 8/11/2011, 10:56 AM

LOL That guy made one big mistake with that question. :P
CapFan79 - 8/11/2011, 11:06 AM
God, does she ever stop talking. Way too much damage control.
pitchblack - 8/11/2011, 11:13 AM
Oh yeah... does she ever stop talking? Why doesn't she stop answering the questions that are asked to her during damn interviews? What nerve she has...

Right.
tomtom12 - 8/11/2011, 11:16 AM
@CapFan79 - I don't think it damage control at all, she there to talk about her other movie that is about to come out, but they keep asking her questions about TDKR, I mean what she going to do refused to answer any Batman questions.
Theodora - 8/11/2011, 11:18 AM
When she goes to swear..could she be any hotter. She IS Selina Kyle!

Go Anne!

Monrogue - 8/11/2011, 11:19 AM
Yeah she cackles for sure. I've said it a few times and I'll say it again. She's no good for this role. But that's just my opinion of course, and there are others who seem to think she'll do fine. But it's hard for me to see it that way the more she opens her mouth.
SamHell - 8/11/2011, 11:20 AM
I miss Benny Hill
Greengo - 8/11/2011, 11:30 AM
And the Academy Award for Best Director goes to....
Christopher Nolan: The Dark Knight Rises
CherryBomb - 8/11/2011, 11:33 AM
She's paid to say things like that.
kriswone - 8/11/2011, 11:33 AM
meh, I can only hope this will be a good movie, but i have a intense fear that bane will not break the bat.
Theodora - 8/11/2011, 11:34 AM
And the academy award for best supporting actress goes to Anne Hathaway
Maximillion - 8/11/2011, 11:36 AM
She definitely DID NOT want to answer the question!..lesson learnt... Never ask a woman her weight..directly or indirectly!! :)
sbdc1939 - 8/11/2011, 11:36 AM
i think she was a good choice for the role, sure there are better choices but she is better than some of the fancast's ive seen
CapFan79 - 8/11/2011, 11:37 AM
Are you guys serious? Academy Award? Get real. Heath got it because he died! Was he good yes, even great, but he got it for one reason.

Hathaway is not sexy and she still has that princess diaries "SHUT UP!" attitude that is not appealing for Catwoman...or in this case just Selina Kyle.

headlopper - 8/11/2011, 11:44 AM
Nolan is a visionary- like one of those old school directer- DeMille for example(if that's his name)He seems to follow his heart in making art on film ,not just a movie and picking up a paycheck.I like that.
@teabag-lol!!! Benny Hill!
superotherside - 8/11/2011, 11:48 AM
what ever... TDKR will probably be good just not nearly as awesome as The Avengers
RunDTC - 8/11/2011, 11:50 AM
she IS supposed to be filming right? how many interviews is she gonna do for a film that comes out in 11 months?
Greengo - 8/11/2011, 11:52 AM
When it happens I want you all to remember I called it.
Rise of the Planet of the Apes should get the one for this year.
Supes17 - 8/11/2011, 11:53 AM
hahahah " I'm just Fu- messing with you"
Supes17 - 8/11/2011, 11:55 AM
@Cap: There were talks of Heath getting an Oscar since the 2nd trailer, which was released over a month before his death
Greengo - 8/11/2011, 11:56 AM
^only if he loses :)
Monrogue - 8/11/2011, 11:58 AM
Exactly CapFan, right on both counts there!
yeoldeemoney - 8/11/2011, 11:58 AM
I too am growing tired of Anne Hathaway comments. However she can "hath" her way with me anytime.
Supes17 - 8/11/2011, 11:58 AM
^He will at least get nominated. He's been snubbed enough times by the Academy
Greengo - 8/11/2011, 12:03 PM
Tru dat Sups
RunDTC - 8/11/2011, 12:06 PM
@Greengo: I highly doubt whoever directed RotPotA will get the Oscar for best director.
CaptainTall - 8/11/2011, 12:12 PM
I love how people on a site for comic book news.... are tired of hearing comic book news....
headlopper - 8/11/2011, 12:15 PM
^^^Good point!BTW, does anybody have a good recipe for banana bread?
Greengo - 8/11/2011, 12:15 PM
Well @RUNdtc you may be right but it's the best movie of the year thus far. It will win Academy Award(s) no doubt about that and I would wager at least a nomination for Best Film. Rupert Wyatt deserves recognition for that masterpiece.
Ryguy88 - 8/11/2011, 12:18 PM
I bet it'll wind up being the top grossing and most critically acclaimed CBM next. It may end being the top grosser of any movie domestically, The Hobbit will probably take the world wide crown.
Greengo - 8/11/2011, 12:19 PM
And @RunDTC, I'll bet you it at least gets nominated for best film... and if I am right you can't report anyone for 2 weeks. I know that will be difficult, but it's only 2 weeks. How bout it?
Godzillafart - 8/11/2011, 12:32 PM
First actual interview I've seen with Hathaway. I don't think I could stand to be in the same room with her for more than a minute or two. Holy theatre major poisoning! Could she be less genuine?
Gusto - 8/11/2011, 12:32 PM
Man, this chick never shuts up. I got 20 bucks says in her next interview she does a couple Borat imitations.
Macksimus - 8/11/2011, 12:39 PM
"Heath got it (academy award) because he died!"

Way to disrespect a dead man.

...and they don't give out academy awards for dying. That's just one your stupid fanboy assumptions.
Ryguy88 - 8/11/2011, 12:44 PM
Greengo@ LOL, some guys just can't not report people. I'll second the Academy nom too, since there is 10 noms now it shouldn't be too difficult. I'm excited for the Avengers too but that type of movie won't be in the running for any Oscars.
Layperson - 8/11/2011, 12:45 PM
She's so bubbly I love that. Thankfully she's a decent actor and can control the bubblyness. I'm perfectly fine with her as Catwoman.
PoPcornDude - 8/11/2011, 12:55 PM
correction: Nolan is NOT the most succesful filmaker in hollywood !
that statement is waaaaaaay out of line, if I'm not mistaken, he only has 3 profitable movies, Batman Begins, tdk and incepcion, othe than that he makes ok movies, BUT if you put him next to Spielberg, Lucas, Scorcece and obviously the almighty Cameron then nolan is at the bottom of the list, and by a laaaaaaaaaaaarge margin, she should've checked her facts first !
PoPcornDude - 8/11/2011, 12:56 PM
I love her and love her laugh btw
