We've now seen teaser posters for each of the major comic book movie releases in 2012 (no Man of Steel due to the fact it's been delayed until 2013 of course) and while each of them are equally unrevealing, I still asked you guys which of the teasers you like most. Was it the glossy logo of The Avengers? Did you prefer the atmospheric sight of buildings crumbling for The Dark Knight Rises? Or were the glimpses of The Amazing Spider-Man's suit and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance's flaming hand get you more excited? Here are the results in full...

stop the f**king presses
Deadpool813 - 8/25/2011, 9:44 AM
Hell yea!
Mechagino - 8/25/2011, 9:45 AM
It's better then just an A. >.>
darklordzor - 8/25/2011, 9:46 AM
Well lets see...The competition is a giant letter 'A', a chain on fire, and a over-glorified title treatment...It's no wonder that TDKR won.
PaulRom - 8/25/2011, 9:47 AM
In your face Marvel fanboys. ;D
But in all seriousness, it's definitely the most creative of the four. Much more so than a shot of Spidey's back, a shiny Avengers logo, and Ghost Rider's fiery chain.
bleedthefreak - 8/25/2011, 9:47 AM
No shock this won, the Avengers and ASM ones kinda sucked. I did like Ghost Rider 2's a bit more personally.
Hawkeye64 - 8/25/2011, 9:49 AM
teaser poster may have been better but the movie will own inn 2012
Godzillafart - 8/25/2011, 9:50 AM
This was the best.
They were all fine.
Who the [frick] cares about the posters?
alucard365 - 8/25/2011, 9:50 AM
The Dark Knight Rises will rule this world. in 2012 the box office result will be the same as this poll, TDKR number 1 ! !
PaulRom - 8/25/2011, 9:50 AM
Waiting for the Marvelites to complain about the Nolanites winning this round. ;P
bleedthefreak - 8/25/2011, 9:52 AM
But who had the better teaser trailer...hhhhmmm?
SageMode - 8/25/2011, 9:52 AM
I hate Batman, but I do think the TDKR poster was the more creative of the bunch. But whatever. Lol
Frogman - 8/25/2011, 9:52 AM
It is the coolest of the four.
Hawkeye64 - 8/25/2011, 9:53 AM
i'm a marvel fan but kudos to nolan on this one. it doesn't really matter.
BooYah - 8/25/2011, 9:53 AM
I agree with these results.
SageMode - 8/25/2011, 9:53 AM
@PaulRom: Trust me. Watch the Avengers blow TDKR outta the water next year at the box office. Lol
Godzillafart - 8/25/2011, 9:53 AM
@bleethefreak: Although I'm sure the movie will be great, TDKR could win an award for worst teaser trailer in history.
LucasMend - 8/25/2011, 9:53 AM
yep
Godzillafart - 8/25/2011, 9:55 AM
People get so worked up. I'm primarily a Marvel guy, but hope all the DC movies are great. I thought BB was above average and TDK was fantastic. I'm much more interested when you can actually find someone here who is interested and intelligent enough to talk about the strengths and weaknesses of movies, even the ones they love/hate.

Oh well...
WellDrawn - 8/25/2011, 9:56 AM
They're not teaser posters, but Captain America had the two best posters this year:

PaulRom - 8/25/2011, 9:58 AM
@0Sagemode0 I'm not sure about that, TDKR's coming off the heels of Dark Knight (which grossed over a billion bucks worldwide) and Nolan's previous film, Inception (over $800 mil worldwide). The highest a prior MCU film has achieved worldwide was Iron Man 2, at around $620 mil or so. Avengers will be high, but I'd be surprised if it beats TDKR.
SageMode - 8/25/2011, 10:05 AM
@PaulRom: But dont get me wrong, Im not saying that TDKR is gonna bomb or not do well, but everyone is already familiar with Nolan's Batman franchise, so they kinda know what to expect from it in the least. But the Avengers is a movie that has never been done before or a movie who's setup hasnt be done, so they dont know what to really expect which makes the anticipation for it is (IMO) higher than the TDKR. But we shall see next year though.
SageMode - 8/25/2011, 10:06 AM
*a movie who's setup hasnt been done before*

Hey Editors, can you please bring back the edit button? Lol
alucard365 - 8/25/2011, 10:08 AM
Avengers will not beat The Dark Knight Rises because it's being directed by Joss Whedon, the only movie he directed was Serenity. LOL
StrangerX - 8/25/2011, 10:11 AM
I love the Cap posters
SageMode - 8/25/2011, 10:11 AM
@Alucard: But that really doesnt mean anything. Whedon doesnt have the same creative and production team from Serenity on the Avengers. Lol.
2Challa - 8/25/2011, 10:12 AM
@0Sagemode0

I agree BB and TDK were great individual movies which leads to some anticipation for TDKR. Whereas the Avengers movie is a conglomeration of the previous MCU movies. Which in turn make the other MCU movies more like very expensive commercials for the Avengers.

I think anticipation for the Avengers far exceed that of TDKR. Not that either movie will bomb but Avengers will sell more.
2Challa - 8/25/2011, 10:14 AM
@alucard365
Normal fans dont pay attention to whos directing. Seeing these charactors in the same movie after witnessing them in solo movies. This has not been done before and I cant stress it more. Normal people will see that and flock to this movie good or bad.
alucard365 - 8/25/2011, 10:18 AM
@0SageMode0 but he is inexperience, when it come to directing a film of this magnitude. Marvel should of went with Jon Favreau, he directed there highest money making movie Ironman(2009), and possible there only good one.
Spidey91 - 8/25/2011, 10:19 AM
I agree,it is a clever design (took me 5 minutes to figure out the bat shape of the buildings :P)
The Avengers poster is just a big ass "A",which is fitting but not too original
the same can be said of the Spiderman poster,is just a reharsh of the old posters for the Raimi movies but with the new webbing and spider symbol
the Ghost Rider one is kinda cool but a little generic
Frogman - 8/25/2011, 10:21 AM
A lot of people who aren't comic fans don't even know about The Avengers until I tell them. But they know about Batman. They just assume the films are individual series.
BooYah - 8/25/2011, 10:22 AM
@Teabag- LMAO Beast is saggin his pants like a boss!
2Challa - 8/25/2011, 10:24 AM
@Alucard365
Jon Favreau was fairly inexperienced when he did IM1 so was Kenneth B and Joe J when they did their movies. All these directors did their thing when directing a movie that coincides with their style. Jon is cool, Kenneth is Shakespearian and Joe is period. With that said Whedon is a good group movie/show director. Marvel knows what they are doing.
BooYah - 8/25/2011, 10:26 AM
@alucard365- Jon wouldn't be right choice imo. Whedon is better at bringing an ensemble cast together.

@Froggy- not many people knew Iron Man either once the commercials come on about it, it will interest a lot of people.
2Challa - 8/25/2011, 10:27 AM
@frogman
All they need is to see the trailers promoting the movie and the excitement will hit them. Even if they never heard of the Avengers.
2Challa - 8/25/2011, 10:29 AM
BTW TDKR was the best teaser poster so far.
SpiderFan35 - 8/25/2011, 10:29 AM
TDKR wins, Well duh.

@ tea: lol. Look Who's Walking...it's funny because he's in a wheelchair from a devastating injury.
SageMode - 8/25/2011, 10:35 AM
@Alucard: But the same was said about Jon Fav when he was chosen for Iron Man, but that movie was excellent. But like a said and some people tend to overlook this to a certain degree, but producers in a way are more responsible as far as how the movie turns out than the director.
flames809 - 8/25/2011, 10:36 AM
@0SageMode0 the avengers wont be so different from Thor, ironamn, captain America. it will be the same shit as those films just all of them together so the audience already know what kind of movie they will see which is more action with lil bit of story or maybe lots of story since Joss Whedon is directing. and we dnt know what to expect for tdkr or the avengers we can juse assume shit and thats it.
ThatFan - 8/25/2011, 10:38 AM
dc fanboys are trying way to hard to make Marvel fans seem dumb, and the message to them is STFU, I voted for TDKR as well as most Marvel fans!
SageMode - 8/25/2011, 10:39 AM
*But like I Said.......
flames809 - 8/25/2011, 10:41 AM
but spiderman had the best teaser trailer out of all four of them then ghost rider and to me avengers and tdkr r a tie.
ThatFan - 8/25/2011, 10:43 AM
@PaulRom STFU! there are no Nolanites. Shut up, you have to (frickin) clue what your talking about, ALL MARVELITES LOVE "THE DARK KNIGHT"!!!!!!!!!

shut up, we all LOVE Nolan to death, Inception 10/10, Batman Begins 10/10, Momento 10/10, and The Dark Knight 1,000,000,000/10!!!!!!!!!!
SageMode - 8/25/2011, 10:43 AM
@Flames809: But you gotta understand that even though the Cap, Hulk, Thor, And Iron Man movies were individual movies, they were mostly used to setup for the Avengers. But you cant base on that saying that the Avengers movie wont be that much different.

Different director and production team than the others.
flames809 - 8/25/2011, 10:44 AM
and ya all would die if Nolan ever decided to do a marvel film
BooYah - 8/25/2011, 10:45 AM
@flames809- So you're saying that you can assume the Avengers because of the movies to led up to it but not with Batman 3?

If you are you're wrong. The Avengers has a different writer and director then the previous films. So it will be different. Batman has the same director so you know what to expect from that movie more then the Avengers.

Not talking shit about any movie though. I'm sure they'll both be great. Wish I can say the same about Spidey but I'm not sure.
flames809 - 8/25/2011, 10:47 AM
@0SageMode0 i know but you also got to understand that marvel will play it save and keep the thing that made all those other movie good. same with the new batman movie the realism is what making it good.
flames809 - 8/25/2011, 10:51 AM
@booyah nope thats not what im saying, im saying that you can assume by the other 3 films or 2 of how the movie where they played it save sticking to what made them good and the avengers or tdkr are not going to take out what made the previous movie to lead up to a team or to a finale movie.

@StarfckerRun not really spiderman got me more hype.
BooYah - 8/25/2011, 10:56 AM
@Flames809- Oh, ok. I don't agree but whatever.
flames809 - 8/25/2011, 11:00 AM
@StarfckerRun yea that sucks i really hope he makes a fourth one even though he said this is the finale one. and its not actually in realism just the world is but not batman or the characters, cause look at scarecrow with his gas, joker who is hard to catch but plants bombs in hospital and wears a nurse outfit with out being detected, then his gadgets his suit, having bane in the third film and if bane goes big then it cant be realism. so bb and tdk are half realism and half fake like the comics. which thats how i see it.
