Continuing the epic big-screen adventures started in "Iron Man," "The Incredible Hulk," "Iron Man 2," "Thor," and "Captain America: The First Avenger," "Marvel’s The Avengers" is the super hero team up of a lifetime. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series, first published in 1963, "Marvel’s The Avengers" brings together the mightiest super hero characters as they all assemble together on screen for the first time. The star studded cast of super heroes will be joined by Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill of S.H.I.E.L.D., as well as Tom Hiddleston and Stellan Skarsgård.

And just how exactly do we know that that's the Quinjet? Check out the following diagram being used to set up the scene, and you can quite clearly see that it says: "Quinjet Door Base Frame."

cool the Quinjet gets trashed?... lol... hope they build a new one though... oh well the batmobile got trashed in 2008 so the Quinjet I guess needs to follow suit... :P

just got back from the set about an hour ago and it does indeed look awesome! Aside from the Quinjet wreckage, there's tons of rubble, chunks of sidewalk, metal beams and others pieces of debris strewn all over! (All made mostly of foam of course!)

Crew members said shooting begins tonight at 10pm and will continue untill Sunday, when they finish up.

Unfortunately, the crew doesn't seem to know if/when any of the cast will be onset anytime between tonight at 10 when they begin shooting and Sunday when they finish up.

I'm hoping someone is there castwise tomorrow so I can at least take a photo or two.

That's why Happy wouldn't let black widow drive in IM2
BillyBatson1000 - 9/2/2011, 12:57 PM
They need to crash every vehicle in every super hero adaptation so that they can have a new one in the sequel/s - and therefor a new TOY for the TOY LINE which is ALL the film/comic companies care about. You want proof? Look at the percentage of toys to comics - how they've taken over the shelves of your favorite comic store.

@Al: lucky! get me some Sac-Jo photos.

Joe6Pack74 - 9/2/2011, 1:50 PM
Why does every superhero team movie in the Marvel universe have to crash their jet? Does being a superhero make you a bad pilot?
TheDukeofMadmen - 9/2/2011, 2:38 PM
Well so much for their premiums staying low.

What kind of insurance do you have to carry on a quinjet anyway?

I'll bet you Stark was driving....drinking and driving will get you everytime.

What manner of trickery
