SPOOF: What Would Happen If Two White Guys Made A "White" Luke Cage Movie?

The same team who came up with that hilarious spoof ad for the DC Relaunch are at it again, this time creating a trailer for what a "White" Luke Cage movie might look like if two white guys somehow acquired the rights...

Luke Cage has become one of Marvel's most popular comic book superheroes. An Avenger, Thunderbolt and all round bad ass, fans are dying to see him up on the big screen. While a movie from Marvel Studios has been talked about for a fairly long time, we've seen everyone from Isaiah Mustafa to Dwayne Johnson and Idris Elba express interest in taking on the role. And here's another guy to add to the list - between the awful looking costume and misunderstanding of the "Sweet Christmas" catchphrase, he's a hilariously bad choice for the role...

Yeah, I think we can all agree that it would be for the best if this scenario never came to pass!

As great as Idris Elba did as Heimdall I found it weird because the asgardian gods are from NORDIC stories. And he was the only black guy in asgard, seemed like they forced him in. Just like the way they changed kingpin to a black in daredevil. don't look at me as a racist but changing something that's already been done for no reason really pisses me off......just sharing some of my thoughts

Cause think about it...how many Great actors do you know thats white that fit the bill of natural have a deep menacing voice that are atleast 6'5" and weighs about 300 lbs that can pull off the Kingpin role?

Certain people can be changed, even though they just shouldn't, not because of racism, just because these fictional characters are already established. They are who they are.

There are too many white characters with superpowers. Granted, the majority of our classic heroes were created during a time period of racism and segregation, but thats probably why the majority of them were white. There is no link to their powers and skin, so share the wealth. Little white kids don't grow up wishing to be Spawn, Luke Cage, Black Panther, or John Stewarts Green Lantern. They wish to be Batman, Spider-Man, Superman, Ironman, and every other popular hero WHO IS WHITE. Funny thing is, so do black kids. It warps their perception. Theres a documentary about dark skinned black women. When they interviewed little girls about what doll they though was prettier, they though the white doll with blonde or brunette hair was gorgeous. When asked about the black dolls (who were also pretty) the girls said they were ugly and evil. So thats where kids heads are and kids grow into adults. Many blacks have a problem with self hate (weaves, skin lightening, etc) So changing a black character white makes things worse. Plus it defeats the purpose of relate ability which is the main reason Marvel is popular.

Of course, for the PC/diversity/feminazi crowd, get a kid fantasizing on a woman's rack at 13, and you've got dyke-driven petitions to drive it from society. Get a kid written fantasizng about some man's junk and it's avant-garde. Puh-LEEZ. Save us all the cultural superiority bullshit. Perry White is a white guy. Cast a white guy for the role. Comic book persona black? Cast a frigging BLACK guy. ENOUGH with the forced PC feckfest. And for the record, since the Vandals, who were descendants of the Vikings (as were the Rus), made it down to Spain and North Africa, I'm sure over the years a few black gys were brought back to Scandinavia and agreed to go a-Viking with the blond guys. Hell, I can even buy Kingpin as a black man, especially with MCD playing him...but Heimdall should have been Nordic....there is only room in the world for one black viking, and that role is taken by Flava Flav....lol The problem I have with Morales as Spidey isn't that he's blatino, its that he's frackin' 13....seriously, think back to when you were all 13, now add a false sense of invulnerability to newly gained superpowers...how can that not equal either the kid's own death, or millions of dollars of property damage (lawsuit up spider-boy), or both newsflash: there's a kwyjibo on the loose

I love me some Ironman and Spider-Man I love those heroes. It wasn't because of their skin color though. It was because of their character. I could relate. However I always felt like Luke Cage, Blade, Black Panther/Black Lighting were just as good as white heroes. It's just a shame that they don't get the credit they deserve. For once I'd like to see a Luke Cage lunchbox. Or even Black Panther at Universal Studios with other Marvel characters. IDK....Maybe that will one day change.

He's not a main character. It's not like they're making Superman black- although many had no problem with the asian/mexican-looking Superman from Loius and Clark. Luke Cage and Black Panther ARE defined by being Black. They don't just happen to black, it's part of their story. So, when people start babbling about turning black heroes white, it's not only a weak argument but it's [frick]ing stupid. It reminds me of the argument: "Why is there a Black Entertainment Television? What if whites had their own white television station?". They do, it's call the entertainment INDUSTRY. I was initially displeased with Duncan being KingPin. But I hadn't thought it through. NO ONE that was an actor came close to embodying KingPin's presence. Duncan was the ONLY choice and he was good. I should slap myself now for even bringing up ButterBean back then. Similar to Hiemdall, but not as physically restricted as the KingPin casting; They picked the right guy and he was awesome. The white dude that haters say should have played him was some big dummy who couldnt even act. I cant even remember his name. Some c-list TV show asshole. Idiots. Spider-man didn't turn black. He died and someone of color took on the role. People keep saying how they arent racist, but it sounds that way when you say the kid should be white for no logical reason. Peter's successor could have been anyone, and it was. When they start forcing in black hobbits and trying to make popular white heroes black, then I'll have a problem. So far, I don't see anything worthy of an uproar. And if someone wanted to complain about MARVEL taking a dump on Norse Mythology, why did they wait until the 2011 movie? MARVEL rewrote Norse Mythology when they made THOR a superhero YEARS AGO! Not a peep. THOR: I have no plans to die today. HEIMDALL: None do.
