CBM's own Frecks (aka Twitter's @itskimberss) was at the premiere of Tom Hiddleston's latest movie, The Deep Blue Sea earlier today, and had the chance to ask the actor a question which we've all been dying to know the answer to...will Loki be teaming up with the Skrulls in The Avengers? Well, he's been pretty vague when it comes to who his alien allies are in interviews, so what did he have to say for himself today?

Yeah, there's no way he's revealing anything! Of course, as comic book fans who are chomping at the bit to know anything and everything about The Avengers, I expect you to speculate on what exactly that smile meant! In all seriousness though, it looks as if we're still going to have to wait to find out who exactly the "aliens" are! Thanks again to Frecks for trying...

STARRING:

Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America
Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man
Chris Hemsworth as Thor
Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye
Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Ramanoff/Black Widow
Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk
Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury
Tom Hiddleston as Loki

RELEASE DATE: May 4th, 2012. (US)

Oh well!!
JDUKE25 - 10/27/2011, 11:44 AM
Hasn't he already said something like this?
DarthTesla - 10/27/2011, 11:44 AM
Just give it up already and be genuinely surprised when the movie actually comes out.
Supes17 - 10/27/2011, 11:45 AM
Big [frick]ing deal.
I'll take them seriously when they release an official statement
the1egend1ives - 10/27/2011, 11:47 AM
Here's what it is. It's a whole bunch of different aliens from the Marvel Universe combined to make up Thanos' army.
headlopper - 10/27/2011, 11:47 AM
"NO Comment" = "YES"!
Dumegg - 10/27/2011, 11:49 AM
I thought Marvel couldn't use the name "Skrull"
because it belongs to the Fantastic 4 storyline
and Fox owns that or am I wrong?
Simonsonrules - 10/27/2011, 11:51 AM
The Skrulls are the villain, and the twist is that Nick Fury winds up being replaced by a Skrull. A beautiful, green, ripply-chinned Skrull.
spectrecls07 - 10/27/2011, 11:51 AM
STOP BEING STUPID @SSES. of course the skrulls are going to be in it.
headlopper - 10/27/2011, 11:53 AM
@Dumegg- That's a good question.
SentryIsGod - 10/27/2011, 12:02 PM
Not to be mean, but this was extremely pointless. Not only did nothing happen in the article, but you gave away his answer in the link
REMY1 - 10/27/2011, 12:03 PM
Hiddleston is a spearbox i swear! He is like the only person on this damn thing.
PoPcornDude - 10/27/2011, 12:06 PM
I think they might be the Frost Giants !
think about it,
they were already introduced in Thor,
there are a bunch of them, that they can be an army,
they are Loki's allies,
that's how Thor gets involved !

that is just my opinion, but I wouln't be surprise if this comes true.

;)
PoPcornDude - 10/27/2011, 12:12 PM
@intruder:
what if Loki returned as their king ?
after all he is one of them ?
Shaman - 10/27/2011, 12:15 PM
So he YET AGAIN has no comment. One month down, 6 more no comments to go.
Zordan - 10/27/2011, 12:17 PM
who the [frick] are scurls?
95 - 10/27/2011, 12:19 PM
Loki meets Thanos and his deviant, outcast army [an original creation by Whedon].

Maybe we see Skrulls, Kree, and something original.
@DCMarvelFreshman said their are multiple species.
95 - 10/27/2011, 12:22 PM
@PoPcornDude

The Frost Giants was done with prosthetics.
In The Avengers, we saw MoCap.

Zordan - 10/27/2011, 12:22 PM
i bet red skull is in film
RorMachine - 10/27/2011, 12:32 PM
Honestly, from past experience 95% of the time when an actor/director refuses to comment it means YES. Because there is absolutely no reason for them not to put a rumor to rest. Now this is a little different because obviously the whole ideas is to keep people guessing..but still, I wouldn't rule out The Skrulls.
plasticman - 10/27/2011, 12:38 PM
So this means "No comment" just like when Tiger Woods had no comment about his cheating allegations. What it really means is HECK YEAH!
OptimusPool - 10/27/2011, 12:54 PM
I think Thanos, if anything, will be in it.
JackBauer - 10/27/2011, 12:59 PM
I still think some Atlanteans are going to be in this, but I think it may be a grab bag of "aliens", both illegal and extraterrestrial: Atlanteans, Deviants, Skrulls, Kree, Badoon, Dire Wraiths, etc.

@tea - Gusto told me you're an ass bandit but I didn't believe him. Guess I was wrong :D

Frecks - 10/27/2011, 1:04 PM
Meh.... Haters Gonna Hate

marvel72 - 10/27/2011, 1:08 PM
i'll be rock hard if it is the skrulls.
valeriesghost - 10/27/2011, 1:09 PM
Hela should be on here soon saying "it's not the Skrulls" and nothing else. Who the hell IS hela and how does he KNOW!!
marvel72 - 10/27/2011, 1:45 PM
@ teabag

XD hahahaha i'll be gentle.
bropous - 10/27/2011, 1:45 PM
Intruder and Tea: I would bet the visiting douche is actually SuperMike.
sexfoodcomics - 10/27/2011, 2:02 PM
I don't think Skrulls are the invaders. But that doesn't mean they aren't possibly in the movie in some way.
HelaGood - 10/27/2011, 2:04 PM
there are aliens, but they are not the Skrulls
revloveR - 10/27/2011, 2:11 PM
everytime there's a topic about the aliens hella says it won't be the skrulls. spill the beans already.

I don't know much about all the aliens in the marvel universe but watching thor attack cap in the trailer makes me think they'll be shape shifters. the skrulls are shape shifters right?
WinterSoldier24 - 10/27/2011, 2:56 PM
I told you it was Skrulls :)
ibravosp5 - 10/27/2011, 3:22 PM
I thought the skrulls were in the movie anyway. So who were cap and thor fighting in that behinfd the scenes footage?
HelaGood - 10/27/2011, 3:50 PM
the men in mocap suits are aliens. but not skrulls.
thalidomide - 10/27/2011, 4:13 PM
I think it's too early for thr Skrulls to appear in the MCU, (just sayin) but then again I would love to see them on the big screen.
Macksimus - 10/27/2011, 4:38 PM
I would wait until the Marvel movie-verse has been expanded more before I introduce the Skrulls. They are shapeshifters; so WTF are they suppose to shapeshift into? I don't care to see them shapeshifting into normal human forms. I want to see Skrulls shapeshift into Capt. Marvel, Hank Pym, Inhumans, and Daredevil.
ArmoredAsgardian - 10/27/2011, 4:57 PM
I'm stumped on who the aliens could be. Skrulls would be awesome, or someone else said a "grab bag" could be cool. Multiple species in one group. I think Loki wants the Cosmic Cube for its reality-warping powers. In TFA, Red Skull only used it as a big battery. Loki probably knows how to access its full power.
NerdByBirth - 10/27/2011, 5:03 PM
@Intruder, I think they could use the Frost Giants as Lokis minions (not that I think they will, but they could) Loki killed Laufey and the rest of the Frost Giants that went to Odins chambers. Nobody would've been able to spread the word that loki betrayed the giants. And Loki is deceptive, he could've convinced them that it was Thor who killed Laufey.
ROBBEATZZZ - 10/27/2011, 5:49 PM
@dumegg and headlopper....no fox does not own the movie rights to the skrulls..u r thinking of super skrull..he has the FF's powers...marvel studios can't use super skrull cuz his character is based off of the FF
CitizenOfAsgard - 10/27/2011, 6:46 PM
The more @HelaGood says it's not the Skrulls, the more I'm convinced that it IS the Skrulls!
Thunderkutfo - 10/27/2011, 8:14 PM
Skrulls...why did it have to be skrulls? I hate skrulls.
TenThouSuns - 10/27/2011, 9:32 PM
I was really hoping for Thanos too... Loki is powerful and intelligent, but Thanos is pure insanity. If they don't want to ever include any more of the "other Avengers" then having Thanos would be amazing. Especially if the "power levels" of Thor, Hulk and Iron Man are depicted correctly. Granted, I'm not saying this would be an easy plot but it would certainly bring in a lot of fans that probably never would have given the movie a chance otherwise.
Foxpaw - 10/27/2011, 11:57 PM
[frick] NOOOOOO!!!!!! not until they've bought back the F4! please no! it's rash and impetuous if they do. so many other things to do before the skrulls! dr richards anyone? he's the authority on the cosmos. thanos is beyond him, but the skrulls are incomplete without him and his family. i'm not a big fan of F4, but they are vital in any skrull story! HELLO... super skrull? why not be patient and do it properly. make the money, buy some balls first and then get back what you lost, MARVEL!
Foxpaw - 10/28/2011, 12:01 AM
sub-mariner makes sense... with the leviathon... but isn't he F(ox)4's as well?
jackpackage - 10/28/2011, 12:37 AM
In the trailer when Thor and Cap are fighting and Thor smashes on Cap's shield with Mjolnir,I could see that being a certain shape shifting alien race impersonating Cap.
SuperSomething616 - 10/28/2011, 7:05 AM
People need to accept that we just arent going to find out till we see the film...

Or at least closer to its release...so we need to be patient...I have faith we won't be let down...
Lockjaw - 10/28/2011, 7:07 AM

MCU needs to add skrulls, namor, black panther, dr.strange & the pyms asap

ComicBookGoth - 10/28/2011, 7:13 AM

"No" meaning "yes." - Get in the car, I'm starving!

Al - 10/28/2011, 8:02 AM
Damn, I so can't wait for this flick to hit the screen! I have a very strong notion that Skrulls will make up at l;east a portion of Loki's army, as well as 1 or more giant Godzilla sized monsters and perhaps a few other alien species, perhaps created for this project by the director(s.)

And yes, I have a feeling that the one & only THANOS will indeed be heavily involved in Loki's caper, which'll probably help to set up things for the upcoming "Guardians of the Galaxy" project Marvel's working on! It all kind'a makes sense in a way!

Will MAria Hill be a Skrull spy? Is agent Phil Coulson secretly a Skrull implant? Will any of our heroes be 'replaced' by members of the Skrull army? Let's tune into this super flick on May 4th & find out!
