With reshoots well underway in New York City, we've had a few extra set photos appear online from The Amazing Spider-Man. Sadly, there's been no sign of the hero in full costume, but we do have Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker! Remember, if you have any information or set pics you'd like to share with us, get in touch by clicking HERE. The first batch of photos come courtesy of Twitter's @RIMBreaks.

These photos come courtesy of Bowery Boogie, as do the brief details on the scene which was being filmed. While that taxi apparently fell from the bridge, I seem to recall cars being flung around in the teaser trailer...could this be the Lizard's handiwork I wonder?

Fiona’s Tale AKA Spiderman 4 is filming on location underneath the Willy B tonight [Thursday] alongside East River Housing. You can see a destroyed Taxi, that appears to have fallen from the bridge. I shot a few photos before I was asked to leave, my own personal property, by one of the snarky PAs.

STARRING:

Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy
Rhys Ifans as Curt Connors/The Lizard
Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben
Sally Fields as Aunt May
Denis Leary as George Stacy

RELEASE DATE: July 3rd, 2012.

Do all high school kids have 5 o'clock shadow?
LMB10 - 11/18/2011, 11:34 AM
The fact this film still gets called Spider-Man 4 by so many places kinda annoys me...

Will be a great film
TheLight - 11/18/2011, 11:36 AM
Like the guy or not, he looks like Peter Parker. He'll do fine. I can't wait to see how this movie turns out.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 11/18/2011, 11:39 AM
@TheQuestion
For the most part, yes
write33 - 11/18/2011, 11:41 AM
100% agree with TheLight. he looks EXACTLY how I want Peter to look. I'm not dazzled by the costume changes (to me they are not improvements, but changes for the sake of making changes)....but between Andrew's look and talent.......and the re-addition of mechanical shooters (I'm on the geek sides that feels they are a key aspect of Spider-man) I am so very hopeful for this to deliver.
Brashlight - 11/18/2011, 11:46 AM
@TheQuestion-Yes, my fiancé is an elementary school teacher and I have seen some of those kids sporting a full goatee. I always had a 5 O’clock shadow, made me seem older so i could buy porn :)
ADATHEHUTT - 11/18/2011, 11:50 AM
it has to deliver...or else we get another spider-man 3, and nobody whant's that.
dahamma - 11/18/2011, 11:50 AM

QuietStorm - 11/18/2011, 11:51 AM

T22Rock - 11/18/2011, 11:55 AM
He looks great! Exactly how Peter should look! And if one more person says, "Oh, uh, he looks like something from Twilight or something," I'm gonna punch you in the jaw. STFU...... But yeah, can't wait for this movie!
Fantine - 11/18/2011, 11:57 AM

DioFoRio - 11/18/2011, 12:21 PM
@thequestion just the dumb ones
AlexDeLarge87 - 11/18/2011, 12:26 PM
Somehow the second pic reminds me of Channing Tatum.

Anyway Andrew definitely screams Peter Parker. He is going to be great in the role.
Can wait to see The Lizard.
TheAmazingSpidey63 - 11/18/2011, 12:29 PM
Hmmmm, looks like something from Twilight....................................Nah!!! Just joking, just joking!! But seriously. He looks amazing and exactly, EXACTLY, like Peter Parker. He was born to play as Spider-Man. Spider-Man is and always will be my #1 Marvel Hero. So it's an honor to have him play as my favorite, #1 Marvel Hero!

AMAZING!!!!!!!
superotherside - 11/18/2011, 12:30 PM
@TheQuestion LOL, I am 17 and I've had a 5 o'clock shadow for at least 3 years now... so yeah probably a lot of teens do...
marvel72 - 11/18/2011, 12:44 PM
we should get another trailer soon,i believe this film will be as good as spider-man 2.
Moonwalker1991 - 11/18/2011, 12:51 PM
Andrew Garfield looks like he stepped right out of the comics. Can't wait for some footage of the Lizard. Bring it.
JackBauer - 11/18/2011, 12:53 PM
@T22Rock - Oh, uh, he looks like something from Twilight or something :D
JackBauer - 11/18/2011, 12:55 PM
I had facial hair in 7th grade and a full on stache in high school. Yeah, that's right. Watch the ladies come a runnin ;)
MarkV - 11/18/2011, 12:56 PM
I'm totally stoked for this film! My favorite childhood superhero.
GiftedYoungster - 11/18/2011, 1:05 PM
Don't have a good feeling about this.

Peter should not look like an underwear model.
TheQuestion - 11/18/2011, 1:26 PM
I was just wondering. When I was in high school everyone was pretty clean shaven.
Fabius - 11/18/2011, 1:52 PM
It's strange he looks like he get out of his bed 10 minutes ago...Hair, shave...But it's spiderman.

And it's not spiderman 4, it's Amazing Spiderman 1. Thanks, don't make this mistake again please.
God bless Amazing Spiderman, with "his horrible yellow eyes !!!"
headlopper - 11/18/2011, 2:06 PM
@yossarian- Agreed.
m73 - 11/18/2011, 2:21 PM
Oh noes, this not bode well. Reshoots nearly always mean: we have a shit film, lets try and make it better. They never quite have the money to do enough to save the rot. Sure hope i'm wrong, though my 6yo won't tell the difference.
nuck82 - 11/18/2011, 2:33 PM
@TheQuestion if there mexican most likely, had a freind in 5th grade how was already growing a [frick]ing mustach lol
FriendlyNeighborhoodSpidey - 11/18/2011, 2:36 PM
as much as I dislike the costume and want spider-man back with marvel, andrew garfield really looks like a good parker.
wbrowning79 - 11/18/2011, 3:11 PM
You wanna know the weird thing... I have that same jaket
Darkhaven - 11/18/2011, 6:53 PM
He can look like Peter Parker all he wants, but the trailer has this coming across as the Dark Knight variation of Spider Man. If this kid doesn't tap into Spider-Man's humor and smartass quips, he'll be subpar. I liked the action and layout of the first two Spider-Man flicks, but Tobey Macguire took Peter's brooding and deep aspects way too far. And his humorous side was pretty weak.
squirt - 11/18/2011, 8:11 PM
lets face it tobey is a good actor but was not right to play peter parker. the writing didnt help either. him being a whiny bitch in 3 was a disgrace. but he can only give a performance worthy of the script.
squirt - 11/18/2011, 8:15 PM
and kirsten dunst, i personally would not think of her as mj. we need someone who is hot. i mean playboy bunny hot. someone to beat off to hot
mrexcellent - 11/18/2011, 11:17 PM
Hey Scorpion8125.

Glad you liked Tobey, but your recent use of homophobic language to express your disgust with the reboot is a bit much.

Maybe you didn't intend it to be, but you're insulting Andrew Garfield simply because he's British and he has poofy hair. How is that a legitemate complaint? I know the current British heart throb hating climate has made it seem as though having poofy hair is a crime, but honestly, it's just hair man. And, Garfield isn't even a heart throb yet, maybe he won't ever be. Does it matter? Relax.

If Webb has made any mistakes with the portrayal of Spider-man, it's that he sees Peter Parker as a punk. But maybe even that will lend itself well to the film. It's ridiculous for people to have to say this so often, but honestly, you know next to nothing about this movie in spite of all the set videos, photos, interviews, and the one teaser trailer.
NeoBaggins - 11/19/2011, 4:40 AM
DooDoo.
HenryundertheC - 11/19/2011, 8:42 AM
@0TheQuestion0

They would likely do that with Norman Osborne... Probably relate him as the situational overseer and corporate donator of Curt Connors' experiments.
HenryundertheC - 11/19/2011, 9:00 AM
Anyways, I have high hopes for this movie's aftermath... if we get the twilight (It has an excessive amount of high-school romance) fan-girls away from vamps and towards supers we may yet have attractive comic book girls as common.

I remember going into the Dark Knight, thinking Nolan's Joker was going to ruin the experience. That is how my enjoyed movie experiences are born these days, I go in expecting horrid changes are about to mess things up and get a unexpected masterpiece. Same thing happened with Cap and X-Men.
mrexcellent - 11/19/2011, 9:06 AM
@ Scorpion8125

I didn’t say that you were homophobic, I said that you were using homophobic language. In which case you were: faggot and pussy put together definitely evoke such meanings. I understand that faggot has come to mean @$$hole in many scenarios. Even the word pussy has several meanings, but you’re not using it in any way that is flattering. Put the two together, and what do you expect people to get out of your message? It’s funny that someone who is so grossed out with gayness encourages another to stick something up his ass.

Anyway, on to my next point. I’m not criticizing you for being grossed out about homosexuality. I’m criticizing your use of language to criticize the film. It’s unnecessary. And you should stop being such a baby about being called out on your shit. I’m not judging you, I’m criticizing your language. You on the other hand are judging Andrew Garfield and a product before its come out. That's hypocracy right there.

Final point: homophobia and homophobic are not ridiculous PC words. It's a real thing, it's a problem, and your denial does not make it any less true.
