tyko450 - 7/8/2009, 4:26 PM
Tell me who the villains are, and I will wait contently thenceforth.

Lizard and Kraven story being my biggest hope.
Vulture and/or Morbius in any incarnation being my biggest fear.
TheMyth - 7/8/2009, 4:40 PM
Spidey time!!! ; )

LIZARD leading up to the SINISTER SIX!
LEEE777 - 7/8/2009, 4:49 PM
a third rewrite? that either means they really wanna get it right or the studio has a specific idea for what they want and are hiring writer after writer until they get it. we know what happened with part three, hopefully this one is different
superdog - 7/8/2009, 4:51 PM
im hoping for Scorpion or Electro!
joshw24 - 7/8/2009, 5:06 PM
the lizard and kraven storyline is sick...id like shocker and/or rhino as minor villains within the plot working a robbery or sumthing...i hope mj leaves and gwen becomes the new gal...maybe they'd end with a setup for a carnage sequel as there is some lil piece of symbiote somewhere im sure...the venom train was wrecked but maybe redemption can be found in CARNAGE - SALVATION
Anil Rickly - 7/8/2009, 5:17 PM
Anil @ Thats what the VENOM spin off is for! ; )
LEEE777 - 7/8/2009, 5:23 PM
correct lee777. there saving carnage for the venom moive. i think at some point they gotta bring in kingpin.
superdog - 7/8/2009, 5:35 PM
SOMEONE NEEDS TO BEAT SAM RAIMI AMONGST HIS HEAD AND SHOULDERS LIKE A REDHEADED STEP CHILD! He so screwed up my favorite series of books when he made that crap Legend Of The Seeker. I was not too happy about Spiderman 3 but was willing to let it be, now i am ascared about what other hell he will wreek upon this franchise.
WulfComicFan - 7/8/2009, 5:47 PM
Kraven sucks! Bring on Ben Kingsley as the Vulture!
Deathlok - 7/8/2009, 5:49 PM
spidey 3 wasnt all bad... i mean yeah he went emo for like 30 minutes and venom was killed off, but it didnt ruin the series. kraven is the most realistic villian for the next one, but the beauty of these spider man movies is that it can pull off the unrealistic. I think this is the only comic based movie series to stay true to the comics and not avoid the unrealistic. I mean iron man was amazing, and got the main character perfect, but its all realistic villians (so far IM2 is following this formula) But spidey could actually get away with a villian like the lizard. I think thats awesome that theyre willing to avoid the possible and realistic to get the stories we love
fotc - 7/8/2009, 5:49 PM
As long as Spider-Man 4 is better than the last I'm good.
Bandrews1 - 7/8/2009, 5:52 PM
Hey guys,
Not new to the site, been reading on here for years, but just recently got an account... anyways... I thought spiderman 3 had some good points... I'll agree that venom was not one of them... however I didn't hate the movie... I think if Sam Raimi has complete control and is not pushed in a particular direction... no matter what the villian is he will stay true to the comics and make it good...
Xandera - 7/8/2009, 6:28 PM
sam raimi has us losing faith in him by the day...sorry LEE but they really killed the venom plot 4 me...literally...no spinoff..just do carnage but make it wicked perfect...wishful thinking and hoping...tim olyphant for carnage
Anil Rickly - 7/8/2009, 6:32 PM
Gerard Butler for Kraven The Hunter!!!

Shaman - 7/8/2009, 6:45 PM
nice one SHAMAN...me likey the idea..
j0nnySol0 - 7/8/2009, 6:49 PM
I never thought of Gerard Butler... hmm... looks the part too... Shaman your artwork is excellent man
Xandera - 7/8/2009, 6:53 PM
The 3rd should have been nothing but the black suit and venom. They constantly have to make a 3 movie deal... Which means we shove everyone we can into those 3 movies.
animeex - 7/8/2009, 6:57 PM
i would go with butler. good call shaman
superdog - 7/8/2009, 7:09 PM
Isn't he fierce? Grrrrrrr.

lol at Deathlok saying Kraven sucks but he wants Vulture! Although im not a huge Kraven fan either...

So, the writer of Seabiscuit and Pleasantville is writing Spidey 4. Yeah, cant fail really!
Rorschach01 - 7/8/2009, 8:12 PM
Maybe this could be the final draft and we can find out some villian info.
longbowhunter - 7/8/2009, 8:52 PM
Wait, Indy 4 was rewritten how many times? And still didn't get it right haha.

Well, this team is definitely capable. They should get it right.
Inohaku - 7/8/2009, 9:04 PM
I'm a huge Spidey fan have been for years, my first comic ever was an issue of amazing spider-man and I do agree that Lizard and Kraven is the most logical way to go, Torment saga comes to mind (with calypso and Kraven) but who ever the villain is will be fine cause I don't care who it is at this point as long as the movie is as good as the first two I will be happy....
Osiris - 7/8/2009, 10:31 PM
He'll put horses and flaming-orgasm trees in 4. Tee!
Betty - 7/8/2009, 10:49 PM
I JUST WANNA SEE THE LIZARD..MAYBE SOME CAMEO'S BUT I WANNA SEE THE LIZARD, SO FAR..ALL WE KNOW ABOUT THE NEXT VILLAIN IS NOTHING, ITS LIKE ROCK PAPER SCISSORS..WHO'S IT GONNA BE?
GUNSMITH - 7/8/2009, 11:32 PM
i haven't even seen Seabiscuit yet. i'm thinking it's ah good story then.
prototype 3D - 7/8/2009, 11:35 PM
Kraven is a BORING character

If they don't bring Venom back

It should be Lizard or one of the following

1.Carnage
2.Kingpin
3.Scorpion
4.Mysterio
5.Chameleon
6.Electro

All 6 characters are better and more interesting characters than Kraven.

SpideyFan1982 - 7/9/2009, 12:06 AM
vin diesiel for venom anyone or maybe jim carey for carnage he'd pull off the kledus kasady role think about it!
gambitfreak - 7/9/2009, 12:37 AM
I think he will go with Morbius the Emo...

teabag - 7/9/2009, 1:25 AM
PLEASE GOD NOT MORBIUS!

They would have to seriously retool that character for me to like it. I mean seriously overhaul.

I would love to see Lizard and the scary ass creepy Venom that we know is in there somewhere. Kraven could also be awesome, but they would have to do it juuuuuuuust right.

Now @gambitfreak makes some interesting casting choices there. I like your line of thinking.
Pariah - 7/9/2009, 1:38 AM

prototype 3D - 7/9/2009, 1:47 AM
SpideyFan1982- Lizard without Kraven will never work. You need the hunt to give Lizard a worthwhile purpose. Unless you like beast movies like lake placid and Anaconda but IMO, those types of movies are the very worst in the industry and it's the last thing i'd want to happen to Spidey's franchise. I feel it's allready been sodomised beyond recognition.

Pariah- I'm with you on that one! Morbius is one of the worst villains Spidey ever had. A genetically mutated vampire... LAME!!! Now he could work in a 4th Blade movie if that ever gets done. As a new threat, in a more violent and less spandexy atmosphere.

j0nnySol0, Xandera & superdog- Thank ya kindly :))
Shaman - 7/9/2009, 6:30 AM
I really hope this movie pulls through, I also throw the vote in for Lizard and Kraven, both of which I really like. And like some, I hate Morbius as a Spidey villain, I know he was in the books but I doubt he'd really work in a movie, except like Shaman said, Blade 4 would be awesome!
Stumblin - 7/9/2009, 8:16 AM
morbieus is a whack villain. i'm not a fan of kraven but after seeing shaman's artistic work, i'd put up with a lizard and kraven story. i personally want shocker and/or scorpion in the next one. and please, don't bring any previous villains back unless they're setting up a sinister six story for an upcoming movie, in which they should give them a cameo, say, at the end of the movie. that would be sweeeeeet!
droopy1317 - 7/9/2009, 8:19 AM
Anybody knows if they are going to tie-in Spider Man 4 with the rest of the Avengers members movies?

I mean, since Marvel and Sony announced the Thor,CAmerica, IM2 and SM4 together in the same press conference.
SirJediFrank - 7/9/2009, 8:48 AM
Spidey 4 is the perfect opportunity for a Daredevil reboot!!

Get Daredevil in there to intro Kingpin! We can't keep on getting Spiderman films without Spidey's version of Lex Luthor.

or even throw Punisher in there..

And I'm pretty sure that Kingpin employs a lot of Spidey's enemies.. or they could have Mysterio.. or Carnage! There's so many ways Spidey movies can go!!

As you can tell.. I can't wait!..
Imran - 7/9/2009, 9:04 AM
MAN MOUNTAIN MARKO......you wait and see :)
teabag - 7/9/2009, 9:13 AM
droopy1317 & Stumblin- Thanks for agreeing, it just sounds logical to me. Can't have Lizard without Kraven, it would just suck. And you don't build Lizard over three movies just to continue building him more in the 4th. That's just stupid.

SirJediFrank- That will never happen. Marvel is Marvel and sony is sony. The only way you'd get a crossover, is if Marvel ditched Sony which will never happen since Sony owns the rights. Marvel won't want to share the Avengers profits with Sony and Sony won't want to share spidey profits with Marvel. The only thing that happened is an association between Paramount and Sony.

Imran- You should know this. DD/kingpin is Fox, Spidey is Sony and the rest is Marvel. Not gonna happen.
Shaman - 7/9/2009, 9:50 AM
Yeah well, it came to my attention the fact that they announced the movie slate together anyway. So as you say i suppose it was only a filming-distribution agreement, but not an actual creative-agreement.

Well they could surprise us, right? Maybe a cameo in both movies (The Avengers and SM4) but with a pre-signed clause for a no-profit revenue, who knows? ;-]
SirJediFrank - 7/9/2009, 10:17 AM
If that ever happens, one of them is being a total retard. But you never know. :)
Shaman - 7/9/2009, 10:21 AM
hehe, i just saw my DaVinci avatar next to my words "Yeah well".. lol! maybe some Leonardo purists must be pissing right now! ;-]
---

it is funny that in the other Superman-GL thread i am recalling that young naive guy about the studios character´s rights, and at the same time i try to find a way to make it happen.
SirJediFrank - 7/9/2009, 10:25 AM
i dont think i would want Spider-Man in The Avengers - he would probably take the limelight away from the more important character like Cap - its never gonna happen anyway so its irrelevant whatever any of us think!
joshw24 - 7/9/2009, 10:26 AM
Good point.
Shaman - 7/9/2009, 10:51 AM
They've already raped the Spider-Man movies. Some of the best stories cannot be told now because of the [frick]ed up writing. Thanks for ruining my favorite superhero assholes!
BmanHall - 7/9/2009, 10:54 AM
Was supermike one of the writers!!!
teabag - 7/9/2009, 11:15 AM
I'll bet he was.
Shaman - 7/9/2009, 2:59 PM
Cool Shaman.. Didn't click in my head!! Man.. No Spidey in The Avengers :-(
Imran - 7/9/2009, 3:11 PM
Rorschach, not just the Vulture, but Ben Kingsley as the Vulture. That's perfect.
Deathlok - 7/9/2009, 3:18 PM
@prototype87@ that was pretty sweet video but needed less x-men, and could have had some Warzone, and Incredible Hulk clips.... but definitely less X-men it took up like 4 or 5 mins in just one section, I know you didn't make it but I'm just saying. oh and if you did make it sorry I'm just really blunt my mouth gets me into trouble a lot...lol
Osiris - 7/9/2009, 3:27 PM
Does anyone seriously want to see the vulture over Carnage, Kraven, or The Lizard...?!?!?!?!?
Xandera - 7/9/2009, 6:09 PM
@Xandera@ I would rather see Vulture over Carnage just because 1. he really isn't that great of a character, yeah he kicks ass and actually kills people a lot but other then that meh. 2.the Spidey films are pg-13 Carnage prob wouldn't work well and I really don't want them do him like they did in the animated series from the 90's
Osiris - 7/9/2009, 8:57 PM
Carnage would have to go with an R rating, no other way to do it. Carnage was just an evil f**k, too bad we'll never see it
ASSASSIN666 - 7/10/2009, 6:39 PM
why do so many people want MORE symbiotes after the disaster of Venom in Spider-Man 3!?!
joshw24 - 7/10/2009, 7:14 PM
People are tired of seeing Sympathetic villians in Spidey films, I don't know why Raimi thinks that is absolutely necessary to have sympathetic villians in every Spider-Man movie.

Sympathetic villians are NOT necessary, look at The Joker, he is arguably the most popular comic book villain ever, and he has ZERO humanity and remorse and in real life there some bad people like that as well.
SpideyFan1982 - 7/11/2009, 4:05 AM
yeah no more nice villains... Sandman really angered me for that reason.

I'm wonder how the new venom movie will be... Everyone wants an r rating, but didn't marvel say they arn't having them anymore?
