best super hero movie ev...NO
Dinotron - 5/19/2014, 12:31 PM
It will be a good movie most likely, but it's not quite a superhero movie, not even a X-men movie at that. It lacks that super hero movie feel and it's lacking that Xmen feel that the comics have
SoundWave - 5/19/2014, 12:31 PM
waaaat?) ha-ha)) good late 1st april joke) But I'll go to see this movie this weekend.
Battabing - 5/19/2014, 12:34 PM
@Dinotron,

The X-men comics lost that "X-Men feel" a couple of decades ago.

"this is the most comic like Xmen film so far."

I'd agree to some extent. The future battles were great but the mutants themselves were wasted. You have sentinels flying around and you have Magneto, Storm, Warpath and Storm on the ground or barely in the air? Wasted potential.
JJJameson - 5/19/2014, 12:37 PM
In my opinion, this year has TWO of the best superhero films ever, I sincerily hope that Days of Future Past and Guardians of the Galaxy follow suit.
Dinotron - 5/19/2014, 12:45 PM
@McNyagano

What?!? They don't fly?!?!?!?!?!?

CaptainObvious - 5/19/2014, 12:53 PM
"Best Fox movie made by Fox"- Guy who works for Fox.
Opticblast - 5/19/2014, 12:57 PM
Of course they don't fly. This is a Fox movie.

If Fox made an Avengers movie, Iron Man probably wouldn't fly. He'd just hover in place.
Jackraow21 - 5/19/2014, 12:57 PM
Hey, I'll settle for best X-men movie ever.
Equivocal - 5/19/2014, 12:58 PM
this picture was taken yesterday, looks like Ben NEEDS to go to the gym ASAP !!!
so much for being athletic....

Opticblast - 5/19/2014, 12:58 PM
7 movies in and they're still wasting the gold mine of potential they're sitting on.
Sunnyd - 5/19/2014, 1:01 PM
@Snooper
Don't think you are getting the point.
Even if he didn't like it he would still be saying its the greatest because he works for the company that produced it....
No one is disputing that other studios do similar things just that the validity of the source is questionable at best and perhaps a non partisan reviewer would more believable.

Bloodraven - 5/19/2014, 1:06 PM
I sincerely hope so!
RaleighAntrobus - 5/19/2014, 1:07 PM
Can't wait to pay for a Godzilla ticket... Then walk into this movie.
McNyagano - 5/19/2014, 1:07 PM
@dinotron

Warpath jumps really high, I don';t even remember sunspoting flying. Magneto and Storm only levitate a few feel off the ground. It was very dissapointing to say the least.
Laconic - 5/19/2014, 1:11 PM
@Equivocal

He's bulking dude, can't gain muscle quickly on low bf%

He can cut down to 10% in no time.
Dinotron - 5/19/2014, 1:11 PM
@McNyagano

Ughhhhhhh

Now I'm disappointed
So it's basically a one scene of most mutants??
McNyagano - 5/19/2014, 1:17 PM
@Dino

Nah they appear through out the film but yeah they do some battle at the start and towards the end. Havoc and Toad only appear in one scene and they're gone.
Opticblast - 5/19/2014, 1:30 PM
Makes sense, other than the big 5 (Wolverine, Beast, Xavier, Magneto, Mystique), everyone else is just a background prop.

to the people who claim that the xmen movies are not xmen, GO F Yourself. these are great movies (except x3 and xorigins)
Maximus101 - 5/19/2014, 1:48 PM
I have been saying since before christmas that xmen was my most anticipated cbm of 2014 and it sounds like it's the best cbm this year! I highly doubt guardians will be better lol
NeoBaggins - 5/19/2014, 1:52 PM
You can cut that hate with a knife. Matter of fact, its a [frick]ing cake.
DanteSparda - 5/19/2014, 1:52 PM
Best CBM ever?? I will have to wait until may 23 to judge that but my inner fanboy really wish it to be true since X-Men are my favorite comicbooks.
pointman - 5/19/2014, 1:58 PM
I have heard the same diatribe for every movie and I am still waiting for an xmen movie. Sometimes I feel like 90% of the so called fans are brainwashed by hipster reverse bullying snarkism. Of course it is going to be a spectacle. The could have created their own country with the amount of money they pumped into this turd.
Platinum - 5/19/2014, 2:10 PM
Only Cap has lived up to the hype so far. I'm really hoping this does, couldn't stand another disappointment.
Scorpion8125 - 5/19/2014, 2:18 PM

Fan Bing Bing gives me a fan schwinngg schwinngg!

MisterPL - 5/19/2014, 2:27 PM
I'm predicting this will be the highest opening, worst received X-film since "The Last Stand."
blackandyellow - 5/19/2014, 2:32 PM
93% on RT right now and tracking for $125 million opening. Not too shabby.
DurtyTalynt - 5/19/2014, 2:32 PM

@Snoopper.

It damn sure was'nt because of this.

And this would make Fox studios seventh film.

Heres my post to you previously that I mistakenly deleted.

700+mill. 1 billion in two CAP films. Marvel studios 6.3 billion in 9 films.

FOX numbers. 3.15 billion in 9 marvel owned properties. including six xfilms, 2 FF films. and DD and Electra.
DemonHunter - 5/19/2014, 2:33 PM

YES
DurtyTalynt - 5/19/2014, 2:35 PM
Costumes DO make a difference. May not be the whole thing but Overall can make or break the scheme.

DurtyTalynt - 5/19/2014, 2:40 PM
If your talking about Falcons costume being butchered than whats been going on with this Xmen franchise? And to answer your question, Name a mainstream superhero movie that DOES NOT go with the costumes and expects to be recognized and earn potential profit? Would Batman or Superman make more money with or without their costumes? What about Spiderman? These characters have costumes for a reason right? So just because they missed the mark on all these Xfilms and had moderate success doesnt make it a failure not at all, but whose to say some costume effort creativity would not of added a couple hundred million to a franchise that doesnt know if it wants to be aimed at kids and sell toys or adults and be gritty, or both?
