COMICS: Interlocking Variant Covers For Marvel's 100 ANNIVERSARY SPECIALS Revealed
Although it's actually their 75th anniversary approaching, Marvel has decided to jump ahead and see what their comic universe would be like in 2061 -- exactly 100 years after the modern Marvel age began with Fantastic Four #1. Check out Alex Lozano's special interconnected variant covers after the jump.
This July, Marvel will celebrate their 75th anniversary by celebrating their fictional 100th anniversary. It'll basciaclly be a series of "what if" stories set in 2061, showing where the likes of the Guardians of the Galaxy (Andy Lanning and Ron Marz with art from Gustavo Duarte), Spider-Man (written by Sean Ryan with the artwork and cover by In-Hyuk Lee), X-Men (by Robin Furth with art by Jason Masters), the Avengers (James Stokoe pulling triple duty as writer, artist and cover artist), and the Fantastic Four (Jen Van Meter and artist Joanna Estep) will be 100 years after the creation of the modern Marvel age. Silly idea? Maybe -- but there's no denying how awesome these interlocking covers are!
