Bryan Singer Found a way to make the final battle in Days if Future Past something fresh and new in a X-men film. Wanna do it again Singer? Final battle= X-men (Including Magneto) vs Apocalypse in Egypt near the Pyramids.

At first I was thinking, meh he could very well be just enjoying Exodus: Gods and Kings. But it's moreover important to note that he does indeed realize that Egypt a LOT of tributions towards Apocalypse's becoming. I just hope that the Egyptians within this film are more true to their racial and cultural aspects. Please don't pull a Ridley Scott on the Egyptians in this film. I'm moreover excited for Apocalypse-yes. But I would like to see Egypt actually feel like Egypt and not Hollywood's Egypt. If Fox sees the underperformance from E:GaK they'll consider taking these elements more seriously.

I'm trying not to allow my faith in this film blind me from seeing the reality of studios these days...

Was just watching this episode from the 90's X-Men series the other day. It really shows Apocalypse at his prime (so far from what I've seen).

Lol! Dude, if you understood all of that as a kid then you better watch out for HYDRA. You know that they'll be on the look out for anyone with the slightest above cognitive skills and theoretical thinking. I had to watch that scene at least twice yesterday just to understand the breakdown of his twisted intentions towards time. Don't mention it at all man, it's always fun to share these things but moreover fun to see how much others enjoy them as well. Merry Christmas.

I also remember when it was reported they were doing an X-Men cartoon, after years of reading the comic finally. I could not wait to see it, and boy was that a let down. Awful animation,and terribly adapted, watered down story lines...Now we have the same with the Fox-men. Here is the animation for the Pride of the X-men. Amazing stuff, sorry this animation team did not stay on for the Fox show.

@astromerc, Sorrowfully I must agree with you, however at least the X-Men Arcade game was inspired or used the same animation team for Pryde of X-Men. The style and designs were the same.

I think what's moreover important to note here is that I mentioned the Egyptians and not just Apocalypse being the only Egyptian. It honestly depends on how they'll adapt him on the big screen surrounding his history/origins. I'm not sure what the exact birthdate of Apocalypse was but I'm sure it was within the B.C. era. If it was there should be more Egyptian's of a darker hue seeing that a majority of Arabs didn't invade Egypt until the A.D. era. However, If my comic book accuracy serves me as being correct Apocalypse was originally born with Grey skin? So there really wouldn't need to be an explanation of his skin color and etc. I have an honest feeling we'll see many people of olive complexion but I'm more overly interested in the cultural aspects. In Exodus: GoK there was metallic armory, sculptures and etc that mirrored the western European culture.

I expressed my interest to see "Apocalypse" but I did want Egypt to feel less dissected into Hollywood's image. Which will most likely happen anyway so I honestly don't even know why I wasted my breath on it. lol

And come on man, Though Issac is Guatemalan I think from a modern perspective I still think he looks very close to Modern Egyptians in today's world...

@TheRationalNerd, *sigh* Well, so far, the closest to a REAL ancient Egyptian movie that we have gotten was Michael Jackson's "Remember the Time". Too bad directors like Tyler Perry are content with just making "urban" movies. Epic, Fantasy, and Sci-Fi movies starring Black actors is a WIDE open and mostly untouched area.

@TheRationalNerd, I agree with you, one thing is also for certain, most of the designs of Apocalypse, he alwasy resembled a big Black to me. And yes "modern" Egyptians in most case do resemble "Hispanics". Mainly because "modern" Egyptians are mixture of Blacks, Euro-Asiatic-Arabs, Greeks, and others. Many Hispanics, depending on where they are from may be a mixture of Black, Native American, and Spaniard stock and different combinations in between. My ex-fiance was Moroccan and she and her family could easily pass for Dominicans or Puerto Ricans, but there are "some" features that give them away as Not being the "typical" Hispanics per se. But many Moroccans are mixed with Spanish blood anyway due to the fact that Spain is basically right there as well as Portugal.

Either way Apocalypse always looked like Michael Clark Duncan or Vingh Rhames to me, the Isaac guy's features seem to soft and not intimidating or strong enough.

Lol, yeah man. My father loves that video. And it was actually directed by John Singleton (Boyz in the Hood, Higher Learning, Four Brothers) He's the director whom I would love to take helm on the Black Panther movie. I think that his admiration for Afrocentric culture would serve it true justice.



However, I have a strange feeling that directors:

Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, White House Down, The Equalizer)



Steve McQueen (12 Years A Slave)



...will get the gig.

And dude, I'm sooooo profoundly thankful for you mentioning Tyler Perry and his stance in Hollywood. I won't say that he should direct other genres of Afrocentric film making because his Urban films paved the way for him into a larger audience. He's basically responsible for bringing Black Hollywood on it's legs again and he's also doing a lot for the people down in Atlanta (as it is slowly becoming the Black Hollywood for film makers) However, his films are more product than they are superior/monumental.

People give Skike Lee a lot of Hell these days but to me his last greatest film was "Miracle at St. Anna"
