Because our first look at CBS' Supergirl was really more of a sizzle reel that a trailer, we thought it'd be fairer (on both, actually) to pit the second promo against Legends Of Tomorrow. Fans seem to be split down the middle with Supergirl, with many comparing what we've seen so far to that SNL Black Widow skit. But even those wary of the rom-com like tone will have to admit that the action looks top notch, and Melissa Benoist seems well suited to the role. The first trailer for the Arrow/The Flash spin-off faired better overall, with only those that aren't fans of the CW's superhero output in general (raises hand) finding fault.

So, two exciting first looks at new DC-based TV shows... but which did you prefer? Vote below then sound off in the usual place.

The Supergirl trailer (especially the 6 minute one) reminds of the SNL skit "Avengers: The Age of Me".

Out of the two, Legends of Tomorrow looks more like my kind of show. Supergirl hopefully should be fun though.

On another note, is it true that LoT doesn't come out until next Summer? I thought because it has been filming for some time it was this year. Then I read it's most likely not until a year away. So if they haven't even started the next season of Flash or Arrow and yet LoT isn't coming out until after them, I wonder why they started filming already.

Supergirl reminds me a lot of The Flash when I 1st saw it. Which is why I have hope that it will get really good as its season progresses.

Legends will be good, but the premise may grow tiresome after a the 1st half of their short season. I still feel Vandal Savage deserves more than a 13 episode season...

Hey, at least they are both DC shows, so that means no DC vs. Marvel flame war bullshit in this article.

LOT looks miles better than Supergirl.

I had no interest for both but I'm now interested after the trailers.

Supergirl will be some dumb fun, LoT will be a good action show.

Looking forward to both actually. Super girl is obviously geared towards garnering a female audience and LOT is another branch of the DC tv universe.

Neither one was really all that good to me but LoT wasn't near as horrible as Supergirl's trailer was. Sorry one of the most overused cliches in film history especially with female leads went full circle in that trailer. Supergirl got completely discounted and told to go home like a child to then subsequently told to go save the day by the same guy that was crap.

Gladly. I also have Better Call Saul, House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, Game of Thrones, Mad Men, Jessica Jones, Agents of SHIELD, Agent Carter, American Crime and Office binging to keep me busy.

I really want a good DCTV show, but CW is bad, Constatine is done for, Gotham is a huge hit and miss, and Supergirl looks bad. Maybe Titans will be good. Hopefully WB gets smart and puts something on HBO.
