Well, have you binged on Jessica Jones yet? Personally I finished up earlier today, and for the most part I thought it made for some damn fine television. Without going into an in-depth review, I'll just share some of my thoughts on what I felt worked well, and what some of the issue were for me.

Jones herself is an incredibly compelling creation, brilliantly played by Krysten Ritter. Not a hero, not a villain, but she doesn't really qualify as an anti-hero either - Jessica is just a flawed person with amazing abilities, trying to make her way in the world. Ritter is supported very well by the likes of Mike Colter (Luke Cage) and David Tennant (Kilgrave) - but some of the pointless minor characters really put a dampener on my enjoyment of the show. I also found the out-of-nowhere subplot about Simpson taking the "super soldier" pills very jarring, and actually a bit silly when you take the tone the show had established for itself up to that point into account.

Things get back on track for an incredibly tense, satisfying conclusion though, and overall I'd say Marvel and Netflix's second collaborative effort was a resounding success. But what about you guys? Better/as good as Daredevil, or do you think it fell short? Maybe Jessica Jones wasn't your cup of tea at all! Vote in the poll, and be sure to elaborate in the usual place.

I voted "good/decent", because I thought it was an overall decent show. For me personally though JJ might've just been the biggest MCU disappointment yet, based on my expectations and the potential I saw for the show. :(

I finished episode 8 last night, it's great. Mike Coulter owns the luke Cage role, can't wait to see his show as well.

Good/Decent. It's a decent show, but like the build up was weak and Kilgrave went from being a creepy villain to just a dickish villain. I liked the performances though.

Disappointing. I'd give it a 6.5 or 7 out of 10, if I was grading it as a comic book show, it would be lower

For someone that has been under Kilgrave's control numerous times.... You would think that JJ would have thought about giving Luke Cage some damn headphones or high grade ear plugs. I like how Kilgrave's powers are portrayed in the comics better.

They could have put Kilgrave in so many more interesting situations too

Colter rocked as Cage though, looking forward to his series

And, I can't wait for Daredevil Season 2!

I watched the first episode last night after I got home from the bar but the only thing I remember is Luke Cage plowing JJ.

It was a disappointment after the success of DD.

I feel like Marvel TV is stepping up. For the longest time DC has ruled the Television but now I feel like Marvel has caught up. I'm watching all the shows and enjoying all of them but Supergirl... about to tap out on that one.

Daredevil > Arrow
Jessica Jones = Flash
Agent Carder > Supergirl
Agents of SHIELD = Gotham

Now if Marvel Animation could get back on track. I had high hopes for Guardians of the Galaxy but it's trying to hard to BE the movie and I feel like that's its biggest mistake. Should have based it more off the comics.

I get what @DrDoom is saying about the subplots and I felt Daredevil had the exact same problem. Both great shows but maybe the Netflix shows should have only 10 episodes similar to Agent Carter and Game of Thrones just to cut some of the fat. I'm not trying to be overly negative, I loved the show and I can't wait for season 2.

And, Emmy Rossum from Shameless, and Tatiana Maslany from Orphan Black have spoiled me, I think.... They would have absolutely owned the role of JJ, and even without superpowers, I still think they could beat the hell out of Ritter's JJ.

Not really excited to see JJ in the Defenders. Can't wait for Daredevil S2, Cage and Iron Fist

I'm on episode 8, some thoughts so far:

Ritter does a good job as Jones but I think they could have cast the role better.
She isn't convincing in the role 100% of the time.

Colter is great as Cage, can't wait to see his series.

Kilgrave is excellently cast with Tennant. The character is exciting, gripping (deserves to be in a film). Though I feel the character has lost his menace since the first few episodes.

Some subplots are a waste.. Trica / Wilson, the neighbours... this isn't a CW show that has to stretch out content to 22 episodes.

That plot with the vengeful couple that try trick Jessica.. that seemed out of place and missed the mark.

Overall really enjoying it, hoping the second half of the season picks up the pace and cuts down on the tertiary characters.

Marvel is just killing it with these Netflix series! I swear this format lends itself so much better to adapting the books. Great casting, great cinematography, overall I'll just be glad to see more of these.

Just finished watching the show and i really liked it. Had some issues with it tho. It seems like they tried to make it as realistic as possible for a superhero show. Which made Jessica's power's feel really out of place in some scenes. Also had a hard time figuring out how strong she really is because one moment she is stopping cars and the other moment she gets knocked out with one hit. And for some reason and this might just be me. But i felt that around episode 7/8 the show really changed direction. I feel like if they kept Purple Man mysterious like before for a while it would've made him even creepier. Having said all that, i still liked it a lot. If only Marvel made their movies a bit more adult themed.

I enjoyed the show, some great characters, shocking turns....that being said, to me-it's not as good as DD, even though they're 2 different shows.

Some of the things I didn't like have been mentioned(annoying characters, some of the sub-plots, and pacing)

Still I very much enjoyed it and this shows has me even more excited about the Luke Cage series!

SN: Liked the 2 cameos in this series!

I'm having a great time with this show. I'm loving the performances by Ritter and Tennant. Kilgrave blows all the other MCU villains away. And the humor in this show is EXCELLENT!

Could "IGH" possible stand for Inhuman growth Hormones? Especially since, they're suppose to replace mutants in the MCU.

Some spoilery things mentioned in this comment:

Colter as Cage was the shit! Also he was one of the characters on the show who I always felt acted with clear and consistent motivations, and was always part of something interesting.

Tennant portrayed this Kilgrave without a flaw, it's just that I didn't like they direction they took with the character too much. I feel he would've worked better if he'd stayed the bogeyman-like presence he was at the start for a while longer, with Jessica doing other stuff without being sure wether he was actually there or not. The way they made him the center of nearly everything that happened, his motivations... I just felt that by the end he'd lost a lot of the initial punch he had and that a character like him should've had. I need to go more in depth about him later on.

There just weren't enough interesting things done with the supporting cast imo. Not even just the extremely irritating twins. There were a lot of interesting foundations, but not enough that was fleshed out in ways that felt relevant to the main plot or interesting enough in their own right, especially as the season progessed. That out-of-nowhere, completely unresolved Nuke subplot just didn't work for me at all. And with what Simpson did he's now among my least favourite MCU characters, and not in a love-to-hate way. >:(

Loved it! Some of the sub plots were goofy. Easily as good as DD, more psychologically intense. I think they should have gone full Purple with Killgrave in the end. Overall really really enjoyable.

I've seen 5 episodes and I find Luke Cage and the Purple Man are the only real draws, and Luke Cage wasn't in episode 5.

I just don't find Jones all that compelling (could be the actress), and her friend Trish is so f.ucking stupid.

I'm sorry you can't read, that must result in a lot of childish outbursts like that one.

Also, why did they show Avengers Tower in the background of Daredevil, but they leave it out here? It's the same neighborhood, practically.
