David Goyer Isn't Ruling Out A Return To BATMAN
Alongside director Christoher Nolan, David S. Goyer helped catapult Warner Bros. Dark Knight trilogy to massive success. We know the studio are planning some kind of future Bat-flick, but would Goyer be involved? See what the writer/director had to say after the jump
Aside from rumors and speculation, we really don't know anything for certain when it comes to Warner Bros. next wave of DC related movies. It's assumed that there will be a Justice League movie at some point, and then after that some type of reboot (or continuation?) of the Batman franchise, but would any members of the old team that brought so much success to the original trilogy be involved? Nolan seemed sure that he wouldn't be back, but recent rumors suggest differently - and now producer David Goyer tells Collider that although he hasn't been asked, that he's "not sure" about a return.
“Um, I don’t know, honestly. I worked on Batman for 10 years, so that’s a lot of Batman. I’m not sure… I don’t really know, I haven’t been asked that yet so we’ll see."
Obviously there's nothing too revealing here, but when asked the same question a while ago Nolan very definitively stated that there was no way he'd be back, Goyer throws a "we'll see" in there. Would you guys like to see Goyer play a part in any future Batman movies? You can watch the video interview over at Collider at the link below.
