First Official HERCULES Stills Feature Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson As The Titular Warrior
The first trailer for Brett Ratner's taker on the Hercules: The Thracian Wars graphic novel will be with us this coming Tuesday, and ahead of that USA Today have debuted these first official stills from the movie. See The Rock roar like a demigod after the jump.
Here's what Johnson had to say about a particular scene that made him feel that he was "born" for the role. "It's when Hercules breaks through the chains and becomes the demi-god he was born to be," he tells the site. "I was actually yelling with all the power I could muster, 'I am Hercules!' I gave it my all and made myself pass out every time we did it. But I honestly felt in that moment that I was born to play this role." Much more at the link below.
Everyone knows the legend of Hercules and his twelve labors. Our story begins after the labors, and after the legend… Haunted by a sin from his past, Hercules has become a mercenary. Along with five faithful companions, he travels ancient Greece selling his services for gold and using his legendary reputation to intimidate enemies. Hercules stars Dwayne Johnson, Aksel Hennie, Rufus Sewell, Ian McShane, Joseph Fiennes, John Hurt, Rebecca Ferguson and Tobias Santelmann. The film is set to hit theaters July 25th, 2014.
