BSG's Tricia Helfer Returns To SyFy For ASCENSION
After playing Battlestar Galactica's gorgeous human cylon model 'Number 6', Tricia Helfer is set to return to the SyFy channel for their new show Ascension, in which she'll play yet another "beautiful, manipulative and dangerous" character. More past the jump.
EW report that former Battlestar Galactica beauty Tricia Helfer is returning to Syfy to star in their upcoming six-hour event series, Ascension. Helfer is best known round these parts for her role as the seductive and mysterious cylon 'Six' in the critically acclaimed reboot, and according to EW she’ll play a beautiful, manipulative and dangerous power broker named 'Viondra Denniger' in this new show. Philip Levens (Smallville) will executive produce along with Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity) and Mark Stern. The premise of Ascension is as follows:
“In 1963, the U.S. government launched a covert space mission sending hundreds of men, women and children on a century-long voyage aboard the starship Ascension to populate a new world. Nearly 50 years into the journey, as they approach the point of no return, the mysterious murder of a young woman causes the ship’s population to question the true nature of their mission.”
