Probably because Iron Man 3 was so terrible, we had to have something to enjoy this summer.
SamM - 8/21/2013, 11:08 AM
MOS was awesome.
Mechagino - 8/21/2013, 11:10 AM
I wish it out grossed that other superhero reboot from last year that I thought was TERRIBLE.

Oh well, still it's the superior film unlike the guy who's comic series has superior in the title and it's anything BUT. :P
iZinDiaN - 8/21/2013, 11:13 AM
Man of Steel was amazing in it own ways. It's your own fault if you went in expecting to see another Reeve-type Superman movie. Stop hating and accept the fact that this movie, despite its flaws and mistakes, was still a blockbuster and was awesome. Like seriously.

Yes Ineedattention, I did report you. Why? Because you really are a troll.
gillri - 8/21/2013, 11:19 AM
movie of the summer, it was an alien origin/first contact story rather than a 'superman' film. Despite some pacing issues I really liked it, had that sense of awe and wonder that many of the best sci-fi's had
subzero1077 - 8/21/2013, 11:22 AM
Wish I was in Japan to re-live the premiere again. Such an amazing movie!
Greengo - 8/21/2013, 11:23 AM
Will someone ban that piece of shit??

What a cumgargler.
Nubase - 8/21/2013, 11:25 AM
some posters still in denial that MOS was a epic movie, you would think that you would have moved on from the hate.

Its not MOS fault that ironman 3 was a failure
Equivocal - 8/21/2013, 11:25 AM

MrChuff - 8/21/2013, 11:26 AM

Mendenhall12 - 8/21/2013, 11:29 AM
Can't believe Man of Steel and the PS4 both get released the same week.
jaycr - 8/21/2013, 11:29 AM
Wolverine sucked, Ironman 3 was a Disney Channel special...did Marvel bought Rotten Tomatoes?
ABH1979 - 8/21/2013, 11:30 AM
Why do you even need Tomato scores to validate your opinion?...

MOS in IMAX 2D was awesome. Hope it does well in Japan.
HellsHammer - 8/21/2013, 11:36 AM
Man of Steel was fantastic! Marvelites are the first ones to say RT doesn't matter in a marvel article when people say TDK is still the highest rated CBM Ever. Hypocrites.
TheRationalNerd - 8/21/2013, 11:39 AM
I just don't understand why people go by what critics say?

Go out and see the film for yourself and "YOU" be the judge of what "YOU" thought. Now I know there's a lot of people out there who didn't really care too much for the film but it kills me when people copy what other people said...

For Example:

Man of Steel: "Yeah there was way too much action and the characters were watered down."

The Wolverine: "It was good...until the 3rd act."

Like seriously? That wolverine "3rd act" phrase is just so overused its ridiculous. No one started saying it until after that lame guy's tweet was posted here before the the film was released. So people went in thinking that the 3rd act was bad. I enjoyed it to the fullest and the action was GREAT! Could the ninja fight have been a bit better? "Yes." But everything else was great no complaints at all.

As for Man of Steel, the emotions and everything were good. Lawrence Fishbourne (think that's how you spell it) played his part well. Cavil was great, you could sense that he was learning how to control, himself through all these years and when a "real threat" actually came that required him to unleash all this strength he's had in himself borough out all these years he went all out with it! Zod was a villain who actually had a reason for what he was fighting for! He actually wanted to rebuild krypton (and of course have his personal plans later) but you felt great emotions from both characters and must I even mention that opening scene?????? It was very action and emotionally packed!

@ABH1979

People who do use RT and box office don't like the movies as much as they claim when they do that, IMO.
TheRationalNerd - 8/21/2013, 11:40 AM
@Jollem

It was TOTALLY worth it! Saw it in IMAX 3-D.
kisama - 8/21/2013, 11:41 AM
I don't care for MOS but I don't think it's necessarily as bad as everyone acts. It's just one of those things everybody loves to hate kind of things, kind of like The Lone Ranger and even the Star Wars prequels.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 8/21/2013, 11:44 AM
It's about time. Not that I live in Japan just sayin
JULEZ13 - 8/21/2013, 11:44 AM
Isn't Japan a HUGE market??

The DVDs will be releasing over here in the states soon, I hope that doesn't affect the box office numbers in Japan.

MOS will easily break the $800MM mark over there. They are gonna LOVE it!

Watch Henry be like the next Michael Jackson over there! lol
Jollem - 8/21/2013, 11:44 AM
@Alonzo - 3d was the way to see it. best 3d use i've seen yet. it really added to the movie
ABH1979 - 8/21/2013, 11:45 AM
@kisama - Yeah, but the Prequels really do suck, lol.
Jollem - 8/21/2013, 11:47 AM
what's that? a man of steel article?

go get 'em, guys. show 'em who's boss :)
GoILL - 8/21/2013, 11:49 AM
@Jollem

LOL that seems about accurate, now we must wait for the others to show up with the same old shit.
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 8/21/2013, 11:50 AM
The Wolverine has a 69%, not an 83 lol
JohnLamb - 8/21/2013, 11:59 AM
MOS was [frick]ing awesome!
kadetra - 8/21/2013, 12:00 PM
STID is the best movie of the year.I don't think IM3,MOS,Pacific rim or the wolverine are great movies.
Chaplin - 8/21/2013, 12:02 PM
Cavill is trying really hard not to laugh at the japanese accents.....
Ramiel - 8/21/2013, 12:12 PM
@Grif, that post was awesome. MOS was so "awesome" that it couldn't even pass TASM global box office total. It's a good thing Batman is coming to help him out in that department.
Grayson7954 - 8/21/2013, 12:13 PM
hahaha seeing Levi's post in grifs pic made this thread that much more enjoyable, thats hilarious
Minghagz - 8/21/2013, 12:15 PM
