New DCU animation project coming from Brandon Vietti
Young Justice executive producer spoke to CBR about his latest animation venture, Scooby-Doo! Wrestlemania Mystery, but closed out the interview by teasing a new DCU animation project he's working on that I'm sure will have fans excited.  Satuday Morning Cartoons haven't been the same since Young Justice: Invasion and Green Lantern:TAS went off the air.

"Yes, I am back in the DC Universe! I can’t announce the project I’m working on yet but I’m really excited about it! It’s an entirely new thing for me and not connected to anything I’ve done in the past. I can’t wait to discuss it but it will have to wait a little longer."

Of course, Vietti's caveat about the mystery project not being connected to any previous works means this is not another season or direct-to-video continuation of Young Justice.  Bummer! But, Vietti never dissappoints, so I'm excited by this news, nonetheless.

Godzilla director Gareth Edwards top 3 movie monsters

Over on the WB youtube channel, director Gareth Evans says his top 3 movie monsters are - 1) obviously Godzilla; 2) Jaws and 3) the Xenomorphs from the Alien franchise.

Moira and Malcolm's secret-The CW Arrow superhero drama
Over on TV|Line, there's another clue that the true parentage of Thea Dearden Queen will soon be revealed.  This time, the hint comes from Sussana Thompson, who plays Moira Queen.  Thompson tells the site, "In my personal experience of who Moira is, Moira would keep that a secret at all costs. That is a life decision of hers."  So, it appears Thea will discover the truth but we can cross out Moira as one of the folks who will deliver it to her.  That leaves Oliver (Stephen Amell), Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and Malcolm himself (John Barrowman) as the only remaining people with that knowledge. That is, unless Slade Wilson (Manu Bennett) and Malcom have ties and he knows the truth as well...

I think Gareth Edwards would make a great Alien reboot or Prometheus 3 if Ridley drops out.
Prime - 3/29/2014, 7:03 AM
A Superman cartoon? Come on, it's long overdue.
ForceOfLegend - 3/29/2014, 7:08 AM
I was hoping Gareth was going to mention his favorite three Godzilla monsters...
sintzu - 3/29/2014, 7:10 AM
I hope it's batman related cause we don't have much of him in animation
dnno1 - 3/29/2014, 7:15 AM
Vietti said that it's not connected to anything he's done in the past, and he has worked on several Batman projects as well as "Superman / Doomsday". I doubt that the new project has anything to do with those franchises.

Seriously there are two movies coming out this year which are about Batman.
No hard Feelings though cause everyone loves Batman as I do too.

WEll I hope it's 'Justice League' show or 'Superman:TAS' or just maybe 'The Flash:TAS'
AquamanIsTheBest - 3/29/2014, 7:21 AM
Justice league animated series?
AquamanIsTheBest - 3/29/2014, 7:22 AM
@sintzy
...I hope to god that's sarcasm
sintzu - 3/29/2014, 7:28 AM
@AquamanIsTheBest

there can never be to much batman (even though he has 5 animated series and 11 animated movies)
Bread - 3/29/2014, 7:28 AM
I hope that this new project will be something different. I also hope that Cartoon Network doesn't cancel it, like they do with all of their DC shows.
sintzu - 3/29/2014, 7:32 AM
@Bread

after all the shows they canclled hopefully dc and wb will have it on another channel
ManCalledSting - 3/29/2014, 7:32 AM
A new Justice League cartoon? Please.
russburlingame - 3/29/2014, 7:34 AM
@sintzu - It's Batman's 75th anniversary and he's their most marketable character; that was bound to happen.
ManCalledSting - 3/29/2014, 7:34 AM
Unless it's nickelodeon, then it'll pry be Cartoon Network. Disney isn't going to put a DC cartoon on their channels.
sintzu - 3/29/2014, 7:37 AM
@OldGreg

why not have it direct to video or on a streaming site like netflix ? cause if it's on cartoon network it wown't last 50 episodes like the last 3 dc shows which should be enough for wb to finally move away from them
ManCalledSting - 3/29/2014, 7:45 AM
Well, if it's another animated movie, then that's fine. But I doubt that's what he's talking about. Netflix has a 3 or 4 show deal with Dinsey's Marvel Studios, so they're pry out, and I don't subscribe to hulu so they won't work.

Sumitsjc - 3/29/2014, 8:21 AM

Slade will tell her and by doing this it will be another way to destroy Oliver's world. This would break Thea's trust in Oliver. Just killing her won't be enough. If he told her the truth and then killed her; had Oliver know that she hated him and didn't trusted him during the moment she died, that would kill him
ComicsBornAndBred - 3/29/2014, 8:32 AM
I hope its a DC animated television universe that's connected. The DC animated films are in the same universe now, why not the cartoons???
DrunkenNukem - 3/29/2014, 8:44 AM
Wonder Woman solo film??...Gadot has a 3 picture deal so...
BlackIceJoe - 3/29/2014, 8:47 AM
I know it won't happen but I'd love a Justice League: Dark cartoon series. Another one I would like would be Aquaman getting his own tv show. I also think a Hawkman tv show could be great too. Even a tv series with Booster Gold and Blue Beetle would be nice. A Doom Patrol tv show could also be interesting. I would even enjoy a series staring Plastic-man and Captain Marvel. There is so much DC characters to get their own series that I hope WB goes with something different then the norm.
ComicsBornAndBred - 3/29/2014, 8:48 AM
@BlackIceJoe I would love to see a Justice League Dark cartoon series
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 3/29/2014, 8:56 AM
As excited as I am for somethin new, I still miss the old. YJ and GL
ALmazing - 3/29/2014, 9:14 AM
I'd like to see a Superman cartoon the same way the did GL but it most likely will something Batman related.
ComicsBornAndBred - 3/29/2014, 9:24 AM
JUST HAD A BOSS THOUGHT...Judge Dredd game done by Roxksteady; the fellas who've given is the epic trilogy of Arkham games
Monitorearthprime - 3/29/2014, 10:50 AM
I would love to see the further adventures of Batman Beyond's Justice League Beyond.
bluedude - 3/29/2014, 11:53 AM
BWAHAHA HEH oh man you guys really expect to have a new serious dc animated show? this isn't 2004 anymore kids don't want to watch sophisticated stories with strong plots. those kind of shows just don't last anymore I wish they did.

by the way @monitorearthprime you might wan to get some comics becuz justice league beyond n batman beyond comics are still going

bluedude - 3/29/2014, 11:55 AM

batmanvsuperman - 3/29/2014, 12:06 PM

OldBenKenobi - 3/29/2014, 12:08 PM

RaxNibune - 3/29/2014, 7:17 PM
WB/DC Animation ABANDON Cartoon Network! They only produce shows that hold 5 sec attention spans; please please please don't let another show go to waste on that network
