I'm yet to watch this movie, and I've been pretty good about not reading spoilers, and I'm a sporlier whore.
DoubleD - 5/26/2014, 7:43 AM
Good movie but the Sentinels were not even in this movie. Less then Godzilla being in Godzilla.

Sentinels were not even in the movie for 10 minutes. UGH ! The 1973 Sentinels were not even activated. They were controlled by Magneto and take out within seconds by Wolverine and the Beast.
MrCBM56 - 5/26/2014, 7:45 AM
DoubleD Unlike Godzilla being called GODZILLA, X-men wasn't subtitled Sentinels. They played their part. Future & past ones.
CherryBomb - 5/26/2014, 7:47 AM
"Azriel"

Haha
JatevinM - 5/26/2014, 7:48 AM
I didnt watch the video so I dont know if this was already mentioned but am I the only one that noticed the color of their clothes in the end? Like Rogue wearing that new green jacket, Storm wearing the first white outfit we've seen her in the whole series, and so on.
DoubleD - 5/26/2014, 7:49 AM
MrCBM56 ,, yea but all the previews and clips made it look like the Sentinels were going play a major role in the movie. Here they were barely in it. I guess to keep the CGI cost down.

Movie was good but I was expecting SO MUCH MORE ! Very story heavy again just like Godzilla but the acting was just better in Xmen DoFP
ManofSteel23 - 5/26/2014, 7:49 AM
you said azriel, its azazel
JoJo1982 - 5/26/2014, 7:49 AM
Lol what mrcbm56 said
DoubleD - 5/26/2014, 7:55 AM
X-Men is a ONE AND DONE viewing for the General Audience. Fan boys will go more then once but kids will get bored with this movie.

QuickSilver / prison breakout was the best part. Mystique was also good in this movie. Plus I didn't think it was supposed to be another Wolverine heavy movie. Hoping to see more of the other characters.

Turned out to be Wolverine 3 in my book
BatManiac - 5/26/2014, 7:56 AM
The Sentinels DID play a major role in the movie. Did you miss them brutally killing the X-Men or something?

The Sentinel's are killing machines. Their sole purpose is to hunt mutants, and that's exactly what they did. I mean what did you want to see them do? Have a cup of tea with each other or some shit?
Karmatron - 5/26/2014, 7:57 AM
Man, I just came back from seeing for the fifth time X-Men Days of future past
adal316 - 5/26/2014, 7:59 AM
for me this is the best X-Men movie i have seen so far but there were a few parts i did not understand or were just stupid.

firstly the magneto train part was just ridiculous. the way he gets the train rails to bind with the sentinels that easily was a joke. also for the final battle how does he have control over the sentinels i.e. telling them to attack the humans.

and finally at the end with mystique disguised as stryker. what did that mean?. is she simply saving wolverine or does she have some part in the weapons x program?
DoubleD - 5/26/2014, 8:00 AM
BatManiac - Future Sentinels 5 minutes at the beginning and 5 minutes at the end. The 1973 were not even activated. Magneto turned them into puppets. A total of 8 or 10 Sentinels at the most and Beast and Wolverine destroyed them in seconds all by themselves.
Starfox - 5/26/2014, 8:01 AM
@Grif

True.. but Edge of Tommorrow's going to own both of them.
Masterkiller12 - 5/26/2014, 8:01 AM
Missed the Samurai Swords behind wolverine reference to THE WOLVERINE, Fist of the north star reference "7 dots on his chest to signify a lone warrior in an apocalyptic world", also is it only me or did every1 miss the "NATE GREY or X-Man reference in the beginning of the film where a male kid with a white strip of hair in a hoody finds the x-symbol on the floor?" Also it is shown a kid with the same hairystyle with a white strip of hair walking inside the xavier school when wolverine returns to a new future". Also this may be unconfirmed but is the white kid with blond/white haired kid with a "M" on his eye a cable reference...even though cable has a x scar on his eye but it could be?
Karmatron - 5/26/2014, 8:01 AM
It gets better with each new time I see it.

Dinklage, Jackman, McAvoy, Fassbender, Lawrence, Hoult, McKellen and Stewart are amazing!

The others (Berry, Paquin, Page, etc) had not much screen time but they were great with what was given to them.

Blink powers are amazing, sunspot, iceman, bishop.

Man! Quicksilver stole the spotlight from great actors when he appeared!

The "You contorl metal? My mother knew a guy who can do that" was hilarious and great.

I just loved DOFP.

I am so glad that I will never see the x-men handled by any other studio than Fox.
Easily the best movie of the year so far
SuperCat - 5/26/2014, 8:04 AM
The Sanford & Son Easter egg was my favorite :) Seriously, the Quicksilver kitchen scene was my favorite.
Karmatron - 5/26/2014, 8:05 AM
I am planning to take my sisters to see X-Men DOFP.

That will be the sixth time for me to see it.
JayTopStix - 5/26/2014, 8:05 AM
Just came here to say I take my hat off for this movie, What an amazing film. This Xmen team ranks up there with Avengers in both badassery and fun.
As someone who has bashed Bryan Singer every movie, I have to say this time he completely got it right and created the best Xmen film and revived my interest in the franchise.
Best CBM of the year so far, can't wait for GOTG.

GO watch this film people!
JoJo1982 - 5/26/2014, 8:05 AM
@doubleD

But Beast and wolverine didn't take down a sentinel...... Remember
SWelch - 5/26/2014, 8:06 AM
Talking about a naked Wolverine. It was NOT a nod to Terminator. It was Logan's mind that was sent to the past not his body. It just so happened to be sent to a point when he was in bed with some one.

Over all it was a OK movie. Wish they explained how Kitty was able to send some one mind to the last like that. I will say that so far the best CBM this year is still Captain America The Winter Soldier.
DoubleD - 5/26/2014, 8:06 AM
Karmatron ... 5 Times right. Did you see it two times Friday and 3 times Saturday ?
Fenlion - 5/26/2014, 8:06 AM
How was mystique able to get a bullet near magneto, let alone hit him in the neck with it? He stopped a hundred missiles in the first one and had just brought a baseball stadium to show-and-tell at the whitehouse, yet a bullet takes him down.

That notwithstanding, my favorite Xmen film
BatManiac - 5/26/2014, 8:07 AM
I guess you just overlooked the fact that Wolverine traveled to the past because of The Sentinel's hunting mutant kind. I mean by your logic DoubleD, Pierce didn't have a big role in TWS, since he was in the movie 10 minute tops, yet we know that's not true, don't we?
JoJo1982 - 5/26/2014, 8:07 AM
@masterkiller

I don't think that was Nate Grey in the beginning, seeing as cyclops is not even alive in first place
JoJo1982 - 5/26/2014, 8:09 AM
They took Trevor Fitzroy as future mutant in the comics

And gave his mutant powers to Kitty in the movie
MrBlackjack - 5/26/2014, 8:12 AM
Didn't they confirm via viral marketing or someone's comments that it was Mystique that killed JFK, or am I just imagining that?
DoubleD - 5/26/2014, 8:12 AM
ANYWAY X-Men DoFP I give 7 star out of 10

Captain America The Winter Soldier = 10 stars out of 10

Gozilla = 6.5 Stars out of 10

TASM 2 = 8 Stars out of 10,,, I KNOW ! but I left the movie theatre with a smile on my face. I liked this movie
Karmatron - 5/26/2014, 8:12 AM
@Super cat, that quicksliver was great! funny but not forced humor, grat action and FX
JoJo1982 - 5/26/2014, 8:14 AM
@fenlion

U gotta think at the time Magneto

Was using his powers to control the sentinels, also aiming the guns on the men, and taking down a sentinel trying to attack him

Of course he couldn't stop mystique or wasn't even expecting to get shot
JayTopStix - 5/26/2014, 8:15 AM
@DoubleD. Xmen 7 and Cap 2 10? LOL. Cap was OK, this was AMAZING. I can't believe people are still pushing that nonsense. This movie was way better in every single toss and turn.
BatManiac - 5/26/2014, 8:16 AM
Magneto didn't even know Mystique was there.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 5/26/2014, 8:16 AM
Reboot!
JoJo1982 - 5/26/2014, 8:17 AM
@supercat

Yeah that Sanford and son put a smile on my face

Since I remember watching reruns of it when I was little

Classic show
Masterkiller12 - 5/26/2014, 8:17 AM
@JoJo1982

I think it is NATE GREY reference b/c the kid has the same hair/look as the character in the comic book but due to many continuity errors, no cameos/easter eggs will fit with the storyline anyways. For example, Night Crawler is suppose to be the son of Azazel and Mystique but that does not work in the film b/c azazel is dead before X-2 film. Also it is stated that mystique is captured/killed and then her DNA is used on the sentinels but if that does happen that means she shouldn't have been able to appear in X1 - X3 films if she was harvested for the sentinels in the future.
SuperCat - 5/26/2014, 8:18 AM
@ Karmatron

Agreed! I hope Whedon can do something just as cool with the character.
