I think this would have been a disaster if this film would have happened.
Pasto - 8/27/2014, 7:36 AM
Gimmie dat lense flare!
Doopie - 8/27/2014, 7:38 AM
can't watch as I'm too at work right now but I am kinda happy JJ isn't/wasn't involved in the Superman reboot
SimyJo - 8/27/2014, 7:40 AM
Sounds waaay too convoluted a plot. Glad it didn't happen.

Shit, now I'm worried about StarWars again.
SuperCat - 8/27/2014, 7:42 AM
If McG directed, it would have been much worse. Inept filmmaker.

TheAbaryMan369 - 8/27/2014, 7:46 AM
Everything Abrams touches should be in a museum.
CorndogBurglar - 8/27/2014, 7:50 AM
And people complained about Man of Steel.....

I could only imagine the shitstorm that would have come after this giant turd on film.
Demiurge - 8/27/2014, 7:50 AM
That script

rebellion - 8/27/2014, 7:51 AM
that's not reinvention, that's taking a crap on the character.
ALegendaryPanda - 8/27/2014, 7:51 AM
I like JJ Abrams a lot, but this movie would have been.... an abomination.
Gusto - 8/27/2014, 7:53 AM

I still say they should have gone with my script treatment...Superman: Morning Wood.
DrunkenNukem - 8/27/2014, 7:55 AM
Ok....if was already worried about Star Wars....now im really really really worried....jeez thank rao this never happened
GodzillaKart - 8/27/2014, 8:03 AM
Wow. Amazing that this almost happened.
BANEofExistence - 8/27/2014, 8:05 AM
He considered Henry Cavill for Superman and RDJ for Luthor, granted Henry was young, hr IS Superman! And Rdj as Luthor? Awesome!
Dumegg - 8/27/2014, 8:08 AM
We all dodged a bullet on that one. That sounded like a terrible script.
Battabing - 8/27/2014, 8:13 AM
Wow that's a shit script (or collection of scripts).
These guys are f.ucking annoying.
shangho - 8/27/2014, 8:16 AM
The thought processes behind the failed previous Superman scripts are mind numbing........I mean how the hell did they even get as far as they did? I've been one of the few who truly enjoyed MOS (and that being said I've never enjoyed Snyder's work, with the exception of Watchmen), but in light of the those other scripts it has made me appreciate MOS much more
slickrickdesigns - 8/27/2014, 8:17 AM
They should've let Guy Ritchie direct the movie, would've been an awesome gambling scene and then slow-motion fight.

All of this would've been better than Stoned Jesus Superman.

After having read the supposed leaked script a while ago, I think the movie would have been ok. It was a different take on Superman and I do not believe it would have been as good as Man of Steel or even Returns.
Jollem - 8/27/2014, 8:19 AM
@shangho - you're not one of the few. there are many, many people who enjoy the movie. it's the best superhero movie yet
TheGoat - 8/27/2014, 8:22 AM
MOS was average at best. Let's hope we get better Superman movies from WB.
DrunkenNukem - 8/27/2014, 8:28 AM
Has the script of this leaked online???....i would like to read it...these guys deviate from the subject every 5 seconds and it gets annoying...
Fritzthecat - 8/27/2014, 8:48 AM
Whoa. Superman dodged two bullets.
First the Smith/Burton version which was gonna have Nick Cage and then this JJ Abrams mess of a story.
*Ugh* Wish he didn't return in the Singer movie either.
Snyder did an amaizing combo story which seemed to take the original stories from the Superman movie (1978) & Superman 2 (1981) to the next level.
I'm gonna watch MoS again and be thankful.
JorL5150 - 8/27/2014, 8:58 AM
@ fritz

Amen and amen and hallelujah

Snyder >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>bucket of overrated shit >>>>>>>>>>>>> jj ahole
cld247 - 8/27/2014, 9:01 AM
@Jollem I agree! Man of Steel is the best CBM!!! Hands down!
Odin - 8/27/2014, 9:02 AM
Robert Downey Jr. would've been Lex Luthor!
cld247 - 8/27/2014, 9:03 AM
Until Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters.....
Jollem - 8/27/2014, 9:03 AM
it had everything. everything came together like a beautiful symphony
Agent101 - 8/27/2014, 9:04 AM
So many attempts with it and WB still screwed it up.
Darktower - 8/27/2014, 9:05 AM
"It could have been DC's Ironman3."... well we can thank our kryptonian stars that it didn't happen.
Dev7 - 8/27/2014, 9:06 AM
I think that a JJ Abrams directed and written Superman film would have been miles better than that Synder's Man of Shit superman film even though there may be deviations away from the character from the comics.
ELxDIABL1TO - 8/27/2014, 9:08 AM
I loved Man Of Steel. I know I'm in the minority there. Michael Shannon was an amazing villain as Zod. When Martha Kent is narrating the ending where you see the kid Clark Kent playing around with the red cape and puts his hands on his waist, gives me goosebumps every time.
MrChuff - 8/27/2014, 9:10 AM
I'm interested as to what could've been but I cant sit through another shouty vid from this guy.

He's worse than Jim Carrey for shouting every other line...
Steelers4190 - 8/27/2014, 9:16 AM
@ELxDIABL1TO You are not in the minority at all............the majority of people liked MOS
SuperSpiderMan5778 - 8/27/2014, 9:18 AM
is it me? or is the weekly podcast douche canoes not funny?
gaikinger - 8/27/2014, 9:23 AM
Love what Snyder is doing right now....love what i hear J.J. is doing right now! SO MUCH WIN!
thaonly1guly - 8/27/2014, 9:26 AM
@yoss So I take it you didn't like Man of Steel!? Correction: You thought it was a bad film...I guess Iron Man 3, Guardians of the Galaxy and The Amazing Spiderman were awesome movies in your book?! Smh
GeneralDrift - 8/27/2014, 9:27 AM
LOL Marveltards still butthurt over a CBM that came out more than a year ago.
GeneralDrift - 8/27/2014, 9:27 AM
ALso Man Of Steel is the best Superman movie. Far better than those overrated Donner romcoms.
