Not judging until i see something first. on another note, first. :D
Kevwebsz - 8/24/2013, 1:49 AM

All Batman actors including Ben.

MrSudaymovies is hilarious and has some good points here. I for one don’t think he will do any worst than Clooney or any better than Bale. let see what happens. As stated in the video Affleck isn’t a Daniel Day Lewis type that can disappear into his roles so I hope I don’t see Affleck and not Wayne the entire time.

Battabing - 8/24/2013, 1:54 AM
He'll be fine as Batman.
Equivocal - 8/24/2013, 1:55 AM
let me tell you one thing:
remember when Heath Ledger was cast as the joker first ??

the whole world complaint-cry-bítch-made fun-ridiculed-got angry and bla, blah, blah, blah about that decision and years later, Heath gave a very Iconic performance in film history, so you might not like THIS decision right now,
but wait first to see the product and Then, only then, You judge,
Ben has proved that he can direct, he did 2 very good movies, and as a director you should be able to spot good acting, so cut him some slack and then make your judgement.
those who judge without knowing, are in their way to be and idiot !

Heath had better performances prior to casting than Affleck did prior to his. I thought Heath was a random choice cause of his "heart throb" stereotype..never doubted his acting ability. There's a ton of doubt with Ben.

I don't hate Ben, he's a solid director and writer, but I personally don't see him as Bruce or Batman. We'll all see what happens once there's a script and they actually start filming.
Aeyan - 8/24/2013, 2:02 AM
NO...he DOESN'T have the build, and he sure as HELL ISN'T BRUCE WAYNE-ISH.
RandyBobandy - 8/24/2013, 2:02 AM
Maybe if Kevin Smith was helming the movie. Without Kev's help, Affleck could be a hit or "wicked retahded". Man of Steel licked nut though, so I won't expect anything better from this.
DoomXfactor - 8/24/2013, 2:03 AM
I have hope cause Halle Berry won an academy award and look how good Catwoman turned out
Xandera - 8/24/2013, 2:05 AM
I think he's gonna nail it!!
FtLoiterDale - 8/24/2013, 2:09 AM
Well said @Equivocal

I don't understand why everyone is freaking out.. I hope if so happens his performance as The Caped Crusader is absolutely dreadful... God comes down from the heavens and says:

"You know what Humans, I gave you a chance.. Figured, why not? Let's see what happens. And you [fricked] it up royally by letting this happen!! Oh no, the world ends TODAY"

Seriously though people.. I want a more interesting news story.

Cry me a river, build a bridge and get over it already! Moving On!

the directors cut of daredevils good

Aeyan -
"NO...he DOESN'T have the build, and he sure as HELL ISN'T BRUCE WAYNE-ISH."

What part of 6 foot 3, broad and muscular is not Batman?

He's bigger than Cavill.

Minato - 8/24/2013, 2:29 AM
That was honestly the worst Hitler reacts I’ve seen so far. The key to those is matching the pacing of what he’s saying to the intensity in which he says it and they missed the mark miserably. I was annoyed having to stop the thing just to read what he was saying and he wasn’t even funny.
feedonatreefrog - 8/24/2013, 2:29 AM

And the movie doesn't film for like a year

I havent been this keen for a casting since Andrew as Spidey
jondoe297 - 8/24/2013, 2:39 AM
They see something some of us don't see this is like Heath Ledger and THE JOKER all over again so have faith
GUNSMITH - 8/24/2013, 2:39 AM
AlanWarlock - 8/24/2013, 2:39 AM
I'm far less concerned about Ben Affleck playing Batman than I am at Zack Snyder directing Ben Affleck playing Batman. Probably from a script from the apparent inventor of the plot hole, David Goyer.
Ceejay - 8/24/2013, 2:44 AM
imagine this abnormally BIG HEAD in a pointy Cowl?

Fry - 8/24/2013, 2:52 AM
Ben Affleck is Batman.

Deal with it.

You will enjoy this movie, you know it, fanboys.
SnapperCarr - 8/24/2013, 3:01 AM
Why couldn't they Karl Urban? He's 41 also.
SaxoWolf - 8/24/2013, 3:04 AM
He'll be just fine as Bruce Wayne / Batman. I can't wait to see the new suit, I hope it's inspired in the new arkham origins batsuit. Give the guy a chance.

Highflyer - 8/24/2013, 3:04 AM
@Fry, agreed. Mr Sunday makes perfect sense.
sintzu - 8/24/2013, 3:05 AM
let's wait and see before giving a final judgment on him and keep in mind that batman is wb's biggest franchise so they arn't going to do anything that will mess it up
Fortress - 8/24/2013, 3:06 AM
warner brother seems to have a obsession in casting marvel rejects!!

i.e Ryan reynolds , halle berry , and now ben affleck!

was George cloony not proof a big name doesn't work in the bat suit!! :(
ekrolo2 - 8/24/2013, 3:07 AM

They offered him but he couldn't due to scheduling problems.
mgeoff88 - 8/24/2013, 3:12 AM
I think Ben Affleck will be wicked dophe as Batman.

He looks like Bruce Wayne and could pull off the persona believable, but people are having a harder time seeing him pull off the Batman persona.

After Daredevil and all this backlash, he will be motivated to prove a lot of people wrong. And as far the martial arts goes, that's why WB is hiring Scott Adkins as his stunt double.

@feedonatreefrog Awesome banner!
batesmotel - 8/24/2013, 3:16 AM
the only reason people were complaining about Ledger was that he played a pole smoker in that one movie
yingyangpalms - 8/24/2013, 3:27 AM
The #1 problem is that Affleck is not a character actor, he is a performer/entertainer.

In CBMs most disastrous casting decisions we have seen performers simply slip on their costume and do their routine and bomb.
The ones that make the superhero and villain roles work are those who can become a different character.

Chris Evans did the Torch and Cap and at no time does Cap remind us of the Torch. Evans created an entirely different character with each of them.
Hemsworth created a character for Thor.
Ledger created a character for Joker.

But when a superhero or villain role is treated like casting the celebrity of the week on an old 'Love Boat' episode you merely get a celebrity in a crazy costume. Arnold as Freeze. Thurman as Ivy. Clooney as Batman. Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Jordan.

So what this comes down to is can Ben Affleck become a character? If not he will just be Ben Affleck in a Batman costume.
HellsHammer - 8/24/2013, 3:37 AM
I'm not worried.
Danbojohnj - 8/24/2013, 3:39 AM
It was A Knights Tale that had me worried.I've learnt to wait for the finished film before hitting caps lock nowadays.
jazzman - 8/24/2013, 3:41 AM
the real issue i got with this movie is they letting DAvid Goyer writting the whole script. WB needs to get Jonah Nolan or someone else to write the script
SkullFace616 - 8/24/2013, 3:45 AM
@mgeoff88 where did you hear Scott Adkins will be the stunt double? Awesome if true.
AstroZombie - 8/24/2013, 3:56 AM
Yeah, because Robert Downey Jr. just disappears into his role as IRON MAN.
Ninjapimp - 8/24/2013, 3:57 AM
