I like the article and the video is great but isn't this more of a Feature Article than an Editorial?
Nomis - 11/15/2013, 3:04 PM
Three words: TOO MUCH HUMOR!

LOads better then IM3
MrCBM56 - 11/15/2013, 3:09 PM
VERY disappointed by this movie. 6/10.

Weak villain.
Too much earth, not enough of other realms.
Too much comedy.
Weak character development.
A lot of Plot-holes.
And this is a nit-pick, but also lack of easter eggs.

I did enjoy what we did see of Malekith, Loki, Thor, Frigga, Kurse, and the post credit scenes. Asgard looked beautiful and so did the other realms.

I hope we get a third Thor. Bring on the Ragnarok!

darkknightmare2012 - 11/15/2013, 3:09 PM
i like it i just thought there was not enough action in it as far as battles ... i was hoping for a more game of thrones feel
MrCBM56 - 11/15/2013, 3:09 PM
I enjoyed IM3 a lot more.

THOR:THE DARK WORLD was awesome. oh yes, it was.
Enphlieuwince - 11/15/2013, 3:13 PM
Question: What's wrong with T:TDW?

Underlying answer: It's not dark and grounded enough like a DC movie. The end.
DangerDuck83 - 11/15/2013, 3:13 PM
Just another Marvel/Disney Super Hero Comedy! They're just trying to start a new genre SHC haha
SageMode - 11/15/2013, 3:13 PM
dresrow

how do you like WB/DCs new logo?

UrbanKnight - 11/15/2013, 3:15 PM
It was aight. Nothing great, just a decent addition. The humor was more regulated than it was in IM3 but still slightly overdone.
Btw, I recently watched IM3 again and it improved for me. With a little more tweaking, less sitcom humor, we could of had a truly great film in our hands.
Bodwulf - 11/15/2013, 3:15 PM
Ask not what is wrong with Thor The Dark World.
Rather ask "What is wrong with you?"

Wow, finally all the haters have a place to come to and pretend that Thor: TDW was a bad film.
It was easily the best CBM of the year and this is coming from somebody who actually liked MoS despite its laundry list of issues.
TheRealDorkKnight - 11/15/2013, 3:16 PM
MrCBM you should go take your meds. your list is all jumbled up!
maninfinesuit - 11/15/2013, 3:17 PM
Hemsworth and Hiddleston continued to own their roles. The rest of the film was just okay.
joniegogo84 - 11/15/2013, 3:18 PM
nothings wrong seriously...

That would have made TDW a lot more interesting. At the minute it looks like Thor 3 is gonna be another Thor v Loki: Smackdown v Raw type event (Which I'm fine with) but Surtur would have raised the bar even higher
Amazing512 - 11/15/2013, 3:18 PM
MrCBM see a doctor immediately
TheBaroness89 - 11/15/2013, 3:20 PM
Lol by some of these comments I would think people saw a different film.
It had less comedy than all iron man films
Almost if not more action the Avengers
Easter eggs for the eagle eyed folk but they require additional viewings
Weak villain yes but no more so than Nero in the Star Trek reboot
It surpassed the first Thor and was a hell of a lot better than Iron Man 2 and 3.
Will see it again before it leaves theaters. Cannot wait for Cap 2
Amazing512 - 11/15/2013, 3:22 PM
@mercwitham0uth Unfortunately this site rivals IGN for worst commenters/bitchy little girls who think they have the right to call themselves fans

The plot isn't the strongest point. Loki and Thor's chemistry was worth the ticket price alone

Ummm, Man of Steel opening logos were alot better than Marvel new logo.

My favourite CBM's of the year are:

1)Iron Man 3
2)Thor: The Dark World
3)The Wolverine
4)Man Of Steel
5)Kick Ass
Bodwulf - 11/15/2013, 3:26 PM
I like the focus is on Thor and Loki. The Dark Elves are like the Klingons in Star Trek. They are the bad guys. No need to make the whole movie about them. Batman movies have a habit of making a villain movie and Bats just shows up to defeat them. I want to see the interaction between Thor and Loki And Jane etc. Just like Kirk and Spock and McCoy.
MrCBM56 - 11/15/2013, 3:27 PM
Amazing

Let me guess, since I don't have IM3 and TDW at the very top of my list there's something wrong with it? LOL. TDW and IM3 are arguably Marvel's weakest films.

Nomis1800 - 11/15/2013, 3:27 PM
I saw a clip of the film where Thor controlled an Elvish spaceship with Loki next to him. I couldn't stop laughing, the dialogue was cheesy and corny as hell. And the action was nowhere stunning or impressive.

I'm so glad I'm not seeing this film in theater. Waste of money, just like Iron Man 3. Even IF I see the damn film then I'll download it and won't pay a penny.
Ragnaroknroll - 11/15/2013, 3:28 PM
Amazing512 is right. Thor was fantastic. Best CBM of the year hands down.

And I also loved Man of Steel. Just bought it on Blu-Ray 3D.
MrCBM56 - 11/15/2013, 3:28 PM
Malekith motivation was weak. They should'a included the wife and kids death scene...would of added depth to his character.
FantasticSpidey - 11/15/2013, 3:31 PM
Fact is that not all films are for all fans. Some will like Thor 2 more than IM3 (as I did). Some will like IM3 more than Thor 2. As goes the comics, so goes the films.

Thinking that you should love every film is unrealistic. Just like you aren't expected to like every comic book that is made by Marvel.

Hell some people don't even like Marvel, but prefer only DC. Then there are people like me who love Marvel but love several DC properties as well (for me I can't get enough of Batman, Green Lantern). This is why there are more heroes than just Superman.

So just be happy we get to enjoy any of these films at all. Cause let's face it, they could just have easily never been made.
MrReese - 11/15/2013, 3:32 PM

Kinda feel bad for Loki.Odin's kinda of a dick. :)
MrCBM56 - 11/15/2013, 3:32 PM

I'm with you man. Honestly, Malekith is on the same level as Whiplash form IM2. We did get a glimpse of Hel, but no Surtur, no hint at him, no nothing.
