Gareth Edwards directs Godzilla, which stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass), Oscar® nominee Ken Watanabe (The Last Samurai, Inception), Elizabeth Olsen (Martha Marcy May Marlene), Oscar® winner Juliette Binoche (The English Patient, Cosmopolis), and Sally Hawkins (Blue Jasmine), with Oscar® nominee David Strathairn (Good Night, and Good Luck., The Bourne Legacy) and Bryan Cranston (Argo, TV's Breaking Bad).

We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

Weekly Planet podcasts are usually pretty good.

BUT, that being said, it does grate my nerves that so many things, news bits, how-to's, and whatnot, are relegated to video nowadays. WTF is wrong with just reading something? It's quicker and more efficient to just write that shit down and let someone read it.

What do we actually gain from stuff like this being in video? You could have typed it up and linked some images to illustrate your points. Why the unnecessary video? Who does it help or benefit?

@Bl00dwerk

Wow. Making it through an entire Comicbookgirl19 podcast? That's impressive.

Also, I find these guys to be pretty annoying. At least they make each other laugh...

Dumbest and the worst moments in Comic Book Movies:

1. Mr. Freeze song...
2. The inscription on barge in "Fantastic Four" (in russian, it mean "the head of a foot finger" WAAAT?)
3. Lame CGI demon in "Spawn" he killed this BRILLIANT movie to the kindergarten event...
4. The comedy basketball scene in "Amazing Spider Man"
5. Again basketball scene... now Berry's RnB performance in "Catwoman" 2004
6. ALL awfull Alfred's jokes/humour in "Batman begins"...
7. The ending of "Watchmen" or "the girl was eaten by the dogs" in it. The worst comic book movie EVER!
8. The absence of main Ben's line in "Amazing Spider-Man"... seriously without "with Great Power must come Great Responsibility" it is NOT a Spider Man movie... f*ck you, Mark Webb!!!

Can I just say, this is my fav podcast. I purposely walk home from work on a Thursday to listen on my iphone. I regularly piss my pants and have been humming the theme tune for weeks. And I'm a winging POM! Shoot that up ya butthole.
KalKent853 - 12/17/2013, 9:39 AM
@SoundWave Are you dense? The tracking of the little girl in watchmen was the best part of the movie and it was a BRILLIANT movie. Also the basketball scene? What? The whole thing about spider-man origins is the fact he's a high school kid with powers. A school sports scene is obligatory. How do you enjoy any comic book movie?
CaptainObvious - 12/17/2013, 11:05 AM
The basketball scene in TASM gets a lot of flak because it showcases how terrible Peter is at keeping his powers a secret.

It's hard to believe nobody thought that was odd. Even professional basketball players can't do what he did.
GodzillaKart - 12/17/2013, 11:33 AM
@CaptainObvious: Yup. Not to mention bending a goal post with a football. Two of the worst scenes in a pretty good flick.
BenjiWest - 12/17/2013, 6:13 PM
1. Bat credit card
2. Shaq in Steel
3. Superman's movie powers, kiss, shield, wall building
4. Galactus
Talisac - 12/17/2013, 7:49 PM
The worst one for me was DareDevil when Ben fought Jennifer in the park in their street clothes. That one scene ruined the whole movie for me.

I think I could have forgiven the other things in the movie but I just could not get past that one.
MightyZeus - 12/17/2013, 11:51 PM
You guys are always entertaining.
The worst cbm scenes for me where
1. Galactus
2. Parallax
3. Darcy and her one liners in Thor: TDW
4. TASM crane scene
5. Peter Parker dancing in Spiderman 3
6. Trevor in IM3
Jimbobatpool93 - 12/18/2013, 8:59 AM
i love these guys and can't wait for their hobbit review
Jimbobatpool93 - 12/18/2013, 9:01 AM
and for the people who hate these guys i say you go and do this and tell me that it easy to do this
FOOM - 12/18/2013, 2:46 PM
The 'Hot Wheels' rescue in Green Lantern
Spider Man mocking&webbing a criminal to the wall in TASM
The Stark/Pepper romantic tension in RDJ2&3
Every time Batman spoke in the Nolan Cape Crusader films
The 'I forgive you' moment at the end of SM3
Stark&the kid's friendship in RDJ3
Ioan Gruffodd's entire timid doubting take as Mr Fantastic

Dumb and painful. Every single one.
