The Matrix Trilogy is literally life. You can't be told it is either you have to see it for yourself

MrCBM56 - 3/2/2014, 2:46 PM
I never understood why people wanted Spider-Man in The Avengers. Even Now, it's stupid.
GerMan - 3/2/2014, 2:47 PM

Pheezmatic - 3/2/2014, 3:02 PM
@GerMan If you think the matrix trilogy was better than the Original SW trilogy or the LotR trilogy than I think your batshit nuts.
GerMan - 3/2/2014, 3:11 PM
@Pheezmatic

Johnwalker641 - 3/2/2014, 3:26 PM
Has Keanu Reeves actually said he will sign up for a other 3 matrix movies? If not then what is the point on writing them! Oh please don't think about releasing 3 more matrix movies without Keanu Reeves that would just be terrible and horrible!
marvel72 - 3/2/2014, 3:31 PM
the original godzilla(1954)is f*ckin awesome, the others that followed are alright.

loved the matrix but do gradually get worse, interested in seeing what they come up with in the new trilogy,if it happens.

sin city 2 a dame to kill for eva green is hotter than angelina jolie.
blackandyellow - 3/2/2014, 3:32 PM
I just finished watching Thor 2. Great action. Terrible plot. Terrible villain. Asgardians might be the biggest dumbasses in the universe.
GodzillaKart - 3/2/2014, 3:39 PM
MrSundayNight: Is great.

I predict if they ever make an Avengers film with Spider-Man...it will make 3.5 gazillion dollars.
GodzillaKart - 3/2/2014, 3:39 PM
It was amazing how unbelievably cool The Matrix was...and how unbelievably uncool 2&3 were.

I fear Avatar 2-7 will suffer the same fate.
GodzillaKart - 3/2/2014, 3:40 PM
Although Avatar was never Matrix cool.
GodzillaKart - 3/2/2014, 3:41 PM
@blackandyellow: Hmmm... I would say, for Thor 2, great action, good performances, fine story, and very good, but underdeveloped villain.

All in all, a solid, yet unremarkable, CBM.
marvel72 - 3/2/2014, 3:54 PM
i forgot to add the "speed round jingle" gets me every time.
shadyginzo - 3/2/2014, 4:07 PM
Only thing wrong with the matrix trilogy is the first film. the first film is a seminal, five star masterpiece whereas the second and third films were "only" very, very good.

Overall the trilogy tells a very good tale.
DrunkenNukem - 3/2/2014, 4:09 PM
Matrix 2 has the highway chase...

and the Neo´s fight in Merovingio´s house

LeroyJenkins - 3/2/2014, 4:11 PM
Why wouldn't you want spider man in the avengers?

Superman8 - 3/2/2014, 5:27 PM
Mr. Sunday Movie videos are the best.

This one is no different. The Matrix rant is hilarious and true.
arseface88 - 3/2/2014, 5:30 PM
Anyone who payed to see a Star Wars movie that was released after The Phantom Menace is a damn fool. Also, the Matrix trilogy was two thirds garbage.
Minato - 3/2/2014, 6:09 PM
Epic win for the speed round theme
ManCalledSting - 3/2/2014, 6:17 PM
Love it!! But the speed round theme still needs cowbell, baby. Get on it MrSundayMovies!!
ComicFan523 - 3/2/2014, 6:53 PM
Damn right The Matrix films are self important. I remember when the second one came out I read an interview with the Wachowskis or some other producer saying how much more intelligence the Matrix sequels were to other films, the guy came off so arrogant and douchey that it really turned me off to the film from the get-go.
CapFan79 - 3/2/2014, 7:04 PM
Matrix Reloaded is good once they go back I to the Matrix (except the terrible CG fight). Revolutions is just a waste since it focuses on so many people who do not care about!
CaptainAmerica31 - 3/2/2014, 7:07 PM
2 CBM stars have presented so far! MBJ and Chris hemsworth
CaptainAmerica31 - 3/2/2014, 7:15 PM
Andrew Garfield is the next one!
erickrivers - 3/2/2014, 7:35 PM
I don't understand why people wouldn't want another matrix trilogy. If it's bad then oh well. If it's good then we get more awesomeness. Some people just want to gripe I guess. Haters
Cumulactus - 3/2/2014, 8:00 PM
I loved the first two matrix movies very much. I hated the last one
Enphlieuwince - 3/3/2014, 6:30 AM
Don't forget that Superman-esque battle and the mech war from Revolutions. I loved The Matrix trilogy. The sequels did get increasingly pretentious and talkative, but, it was an amazing effort. Neo was the new Luke Skywalker, and, one of the best cinematic sci-fi heroes of all time. Hopefully, these new movies will prompt a digital remastering of the originals with updated CGI. That should quell some of these complaints.

The first trilogy has already laid the groundwork for prequels. They don't really need Keanu to return, even though I wouldn't mind. Let's do this!

That AoU poster is fanmade? Either way it looks glorious...
BillyM67 - 3/3/2014, 6:45 AM
I thought the first Matrix was great, but the brothers dropped the ball on the final two by basically stretching a single movie out to two (we’ll see if The Hobbit fairs better with this concept). As far as more Matrix movies are concerned, they could do prequels, but I'm not sure why since we know the ones who came before Neo all failed. They could do sequels, but not sure how well they would do without the original cast, some of which are getting a little old for the roles.
manofmidgard - 3/3/2014, 7:02 AM
i could see a spiderman cameo in the avengers but not much more'n that. just have him swinging by while the avengers are fighting ultron robots, maybe rescuing bystanders. hawkeye sees him first (of course), says, "who the hell is that?" cap says, "it doesn't matter, stay focused!", while at the same time iron man has already pulled up everything there is to know about spider-man via Jarvis and says, "oh that's just your friendly neighborhood spiderman."

I loved the matrix movies. sure the 2nd and 3rd were confusing, but still very good, if a damn depressing ending. it would be easy to make a new matrix trilogy. after all, they revealed in the 3rd one that there have actually been many neo programs, so it wouldn't be much more of a stretch to say there is another "One".

everybody hates on the dude that played Anakin, but I don't think it was really his fault that the character sucked. it was the dialogue and storyline that sucked, not his delivery. he did good with what he was given. they did a good job building to the moment when Anakin turned to the dark side, but then skipped over the scenes when he actually goes off the rails and turns evil. they skip the scene when he slaughters the tusken raiders that killed his mom, and then skipped the scene when he kills the jedi younglings. if they had added those scenes, and showed him really agonized as he killed them, it would have helped. as it is, they skipped every scene that would have allowed him to act. those movies were a mess, but I don't think we can blame it on hayden christensen. the dialogue in the second movie was the worst dialogue in a movie ever (until twilight anyway), which makes you hate the character, but that's the writer's fault, not the actor's.
manofmidgard - 3/3/2014, 7:07 AM
i think if they reboot the matrix, they should make neo the villain, a last ditch effort by the machines to restore their empire. they created neo after all. of course, at the beginning of the movie this would not be immediately obvious that neo is actually the enemy this time, but discovered right when he betrays them.
