COSPLAY: Ardella As DC Comics' POWER GIRL

Australian cosplayer, Ardella, was actually one of the very first cosplayers I ever featured. Then, she was dressed as Power Girl and this time she is as well. So, quit being such a boob and come check out her new photoshoot as DC Comics' voluptuous superhero.

DC Comics - Power Girl
Cosplayer: Ardella Cosplay * Photographer: What A Big Camera
Power Girl is the Earth-Two equivalent of Supergirl, native Kryptonian and cousin to Superman. Her origins have changed several times in continuity when the Multiverse was erased Post-Crisis, and she has also been seen as a descendant of Arion with ties to Atlantis. The distinctive costume she wears lacks an emblem, and she uses this as an advantage to distract others in combat. She has been a member of the Justice League, the Justice Society, Infinity, Inc., Birds of Prey, the Suicide Squad and the Sovereign Seven. Power Girl was created by Gerry Conway, Ric Estrada and Wally Wood, first appearing in All-Star Comics #58. (1976) - dc.wikia

I would suggest most of you watch her video before commenting. She has just as much on her shoulders as she does on her chest.

JillyMcBeam - I don't let ANYONE post douchey comments in the cosplay articles. Nobody gets a free pass to be mean here.

Thank you for deleting Jilly. That face in his avatar makes my boner invert like a turtle head.

I wanna B my L on her Ts

JillyMcBeam - You can find anyone you want unattractive that's not the point. You don't have to share that with the rest of us, and you certainly don't have to do it in a dickish manner. So, stop with the butthurt routine. I've been down this block a million times. The rule is the rule. No douchey comments toward the cosplayers. That's how it has always been, and this is how it always will be. If you're not digging a cosplayer do this amazing thing, keep it to yourself. I'm sorry, I won't let you and others mangle someone's self esteem just so you can get a chuckle.

She looks great.
campblood - 6/29/2014, 5:24 PM
personally I think she's cute as hell. even if she didn't have big melons I would still find her attractive.

4th picture down is the best
mgeoff88 - 6/29/2014, 5:54 PM
She is a cutie pie. She looks awesome as Power Girl!

The comments she was talking about in the video makes it sound like Gusto stopped by her FB page. ;P

Joking aside, she seems like a really cool girl. That sucks she has to deal with that kind of bullshit.
You're not going to hear me complain about boobs. And I certainly don't take her less seriously, because she has big boobs.
batz11 - 6/29/2014, 6:01 PM
Wait just a minute, she has a face? ;) Very cute and nice job on the outfit...
eleven59 - 6/29/2014, 6:19 PM
@campblood

I like that photo one as well...
RobtimusPrime - 6/29/2014, 6:25 PM
Any single man saying they wouldn't jump at the chance to get with this woman is full of shit (or likes dudes). Cute, thick, photogenic & a pair of fog lights that could start a car accident? "Yucky"! Yeah. Right.

But after watching the video she's infinitely more attractive for the way she carries herself (no pun intended).

@ Ardella
Well done, looks like you stepped right off the page.

"I would suggest most of you watch her video before commenting. She has just as much on her shoulders as she does on her chest".

Metaphorically, yes. But physically speaking...

PS. Nice vid.
RuccusRob - 6/29/2014, 6:27 PM
I'm sorry, but the idea of a straight male focusing on the costume instead of who's in it made me chuckle. We didn't get to be a 7 billion strong species with that type of defeatism.

"Well, we can't all be dating podiatrists"
gurugeorge - 6/29/2014, 6:32 PM
Funny video :)
McGee - 6/29/2014, 6:44 PM
I wanted to sleep with this woman after seeing her pics.

After watching the video... I want to marry her.
Alexandre - 6/29/2014, 6:49 PM
The only thing I know about Power Girl is from all these cosplay models who like dressing up like her. So I need to ask, is Power Girl just some sexy hero whose good looks is the only interesting thing about her or is there an actual well written character here hidden underneath all that sex appeal?

Humperdink - 6/29/2014, 7:13 PM
@CampBlood

Where did you get those Powergirl pics?
Those are fantastic.
She actually looks reasonable enough in them to be onscreen.
batmanvsuperman - 6/29/2014, 7:16 PM
She has great new York boobs
DrDoom - 6/29/2014, 7:19 PM
She has an excellent costume, an excellent mind, and an excellent figure.

Much like.
Wow.
CorndogBurglar - 6/29/2014, 8:10 PM
@ Alexandre

Power Girl is actually Supergirl from an alternate earth. So yeah, she's interesting

I think most of you people here need to be more respectful towards women.....

Am I the only one ho wishes they lived in Australia? McGee does. He wants some of that Koala Chlamydia.
JDwyler444 - 6/29/2014, 10:11 PM
I can deal with my comment being deleted and all but i do have a legitimate question. These cosplay broads- do they contact the site and say "hey put my shit up." or do you find this stuff and post it for shits and giggles, and if it's the latter why do you care if we have a giggle it's not like she'll see it.
nailbiter111 - 6/29/2014, 10:35 PM
JDwyler444 - To answer your question, both. As for this comment: "Why do you care if we have a giggle it's not like she'll see it." Most of the women do read the comment section. So, yes, I care very much what is being said about them, as I'm know they care.
nailbiter111 - 6/29/2014, 10:59 PM
You guys think your words don't have consequences, but they do. A long time ago, I used to let people say whatever they wanted. I didn't filter anything. But, several emails changed my view. These women were so depressed about the comments here that they stopped cosplaying all together. They gave up something they loved because you people thought insulting them was fun. I won't allow insecure people to use cosplayers as their personal piñatas.
Ardella - 6/29/2014, 11:17 PM
Hi JDwyler444!
I'm Ardella, the girl in the photos. Normally I don't post here, but I get compelled to answer your question and address your queries.
Firstly, no, I didn't contact anyone from ComicBookMovie requesting they share my work. However, support and promotion is always welcome, particularly when it comes with appropriate credit and links as is always done here. That's very much appreciated.
I am, however, very concerned at your apparent idea that people only deserve respect if they're going to find out about it.
I may spend my spare time sewing costumes and dressing up as my favourite characters, but that does not stop me being human. I'm not a celebrity, I am grateful for the support I receive but at the end of the day I'm just an ordinary girl playing a more advanced version of dress ups.
I have a full time job, bills to pay, worries and hopes and feelings - just like anyone else. And I, for one, appreciate the effort being made here to keep an overall positive and supportive community.

Tl;Dr: Don't be a douchebag just because you think the person it's aimed at won't read it.
BlindJustice - 6/29/2014, 11:21 PM
Screw the haters. She is a gorgeous woman! Awesome video and awesome costume. Bravo!!!
