Cars Chase Scarlett Johansson In New LUCY Clip

Early word-of-mouth for Lucy is extremely poor, but come judge for yourself with this brand new car chase clip. The film was directed by Luc Besson ("Léon: The Professional") and stars Scarlett Johansson ("Avengers: Age of Ultron").

From La Femme Nikita and The Professional to The Fifth Element, writer/director Luc Besson has created some of the toughest, most memorable female action heroes in cinematic history. Now, Besson directs Scarlett Johansson in Lucy, an action-thriller that tracks a woman accidentally caught in a dark deal who turns the tables on her captors and transforms into a merciless warrior evolved beyond human logic. Lucy also stars Academy Award® winner Morgan Freeman and is produced by Virginie Besson-Silla for EuropaCorp. Universal Pictures will distribute the movie worldwide, except for France, Benelux and China.

this is bad movie 'cause everything is not realistic in this sci-fi movie?

I've lovd ScarJo since 'Ghostworld' and she was on FIYAH(!!) in 'Cap 2', 'Her', and 'In The Flesh'.

I'm going to check this out just to see her, even though I'm worried about the 'Resident Evil/Impossible Action-Girl' vibe I'm getting. It could be good but I don't know...I need to see more.

I definitely think it's time for a Black Widow movie.

I wish she'd grow her hair back. It was so much easier to pull her hair from behind before she cut it.

@Yossarian

I just get the feeling this might end up like those atrocious Resident Evil (and Ultra Violet) films. It already looks like it's probably going that way. Also that scene when she spread her legs in the prison for that guard grossed me out. Yeeesh.

Scar-Jo goes nude, right? Yeah, I'll see this.

If she does go nude, then I'm all in. The popcorn and hot dog and the slurpie!!

I'm guessing this wasn't the best scene to show the movie off to people. What she was doing with the Matixy data-streamy things isn't explained to us here, so we're like, what, is it the Matrix? But I know it's not that, so, maybe I'm slow for not already understanding what was going on there, so I'll hold off til I see it I suppose. It has me solely by its premise. And, yeah, his acting, if he can at all, isn't on good display here. But, whatever, he's not the main character anyway.

It took me watching this a couple times to realize what the guy is saying with his super-thick accent: "I'd rather be late than dead." Her answer is awesome. I'd be asking her what happens to our consciousness and individuality when we die and how she knows this, and whether it's provable by mortal means.
JediPhilosopher - 7/11/2014, 5:21 PM
Until I know more, I'm guessing those data streams she was looking at were pulled from police communications and she was looking at them matrix-style in her mind.

WTF did I just watch?!!
