Three Official Publicity Stills Released for GHOST RIDER: SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE

Nicolas Cage is turning up the crazy for the sequel to Ghost Rider. Forget the jelly beans and the Karen Carpenter records, this Johnny Blaze is pissing fire.

Our friends over at IGN have recently posted these three great publicity shots for Nicolas Cage's second trip down demon alley.









Ghost Rider : Spirit of Vengeance is directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor's starring Nicolas Cage, Ciaran Hinds, Violante Placido, Idris Elba, and Johnny Whitworth. Ghost Rider hits theaters February 22, 2012.

That last trailer was very decent. Let's just hope they aren't done their polishing.

no bullshit, this movie will suck. or at least be a massive disappointment to those who are going expecting something a lot better than the first. its a shame too b/c they nailed the cgi with the character itself but the production looks pure cornball.

I do miss the spikes on the uniform, but the darker skull is nice.

At least Ghost Rider looks proper this time, tiny skull annoyed the f#ck out of me in the 1st 1, among other things.

Barnebeejones- LOL Yeah, the CGI in the first trailer actually did look like PS2 quality LOL It did look a bit better in the last trailer though, so i hope they keep going with post production.

I grew up reading Ghost Rider, and whenever I imagined the tone of the movie I would think of The Crow or Blade Runner. A real dark murky tale, not this bullshit from the two bozos that brought us Crank. And I certainly didn't want that shit Mark Steven Johnson shoveled down our throats.

This movie should be made by Alex Proyas, enough said.

Still say Cage did a good job giving Johnny Blaze a personality. In the comics he has noe at all.
I am curious to see if this movie is any good

I can't wait to see this movie...The only thing that disappointed me about the first movie was the boring ass love story (that every movie seems to need) and the horrible main villain (his stooges were way better...)Other than that I loved the movie...especially when Johnny Blaze first transforms into the Rider and also when he's ripping the downtown a new asshole with his cycle...so I for one can not wait for this movie...everyone watch, I said this about the X-Men movie, and I'm saying it about this one...this will be the comicbook movie to see in 2012!!..

Johnny Blaze needs some redemption, and I sincerely hope this movie is it. hollywood doesn't care about fanboys, but they are starting to realize they actually need a story...not just crazy sh1t thrown on the screen for 2 1/2 hours. Is it too much to ask for an intelligent hero story? I just hope their target audience for this is not hillbillies and 14 year olds, like the first movie...

Nicolas may be the actor I want to see the least. However, its how they incorporate Danny Ketch is what i want to see.

it#s beyond laughable that anyone thinks this film even has a chance of success. The Phantom Menace in 3D is released the week before this and i'd bet a billion dollars it holds onto the number 1 spot the same weekend this crap gets released without even a serious challenge.

Nobody gave a crap about the comic, nobody gave a crap about the movie and so it's insane to think people are suddenly go nuts for the sequel that should have gone straight to home video.

Prepare yourself for a massive flop!

If it doesn't do well in theaters, it's because people like you were bashing the film ever since it was announced that there would be a sequel.

I'm still seeing this film because I believe in giving things a second chance. Something that you people don't know ANYTHING about.

Looking forward to this one hopefully they recognize what went wrong in the first movie and don't make the same mistakes.....or new ones for that matter.

I want a good Ghost rider movie but I feel this one will not be all that. Still better than the last Monstrosity.

@ Zarathos022.. trust me dude, I don't jump on bashwagons, I have my own opinion about everything and no one ever changes it.. but the directors are really hacky man, and nic cage is a great actor, well used to be, but he is not blaze... This movie is going to be an incoherent mess with decent action and decent effects, imagine transformers on a 50 mil budget

I understand your comment.

But I don't believe that EVERY comic book movie that comes out needs to be as good as The Dark Knight or Iron Man (both of which I enjoyed) in order to get some enjoyment out of it.

The action and the look of the Ghost Rider are some of the reasons that I want to see the film.

And like I said, I really don't have any issue with Nic Cage playing Blaze/Rider.

I've said before that I'm not expecting critics to fall in love with it.

I'm really just looking to find my own enjoyment with the movie.

I got ya dude, the first one just really turned me off, and then they don't reboot and they get these directors, they are not good story tellers and they have headache inducing camera tricks they use... Just not what I want out of a comicbook movie. I love comics so I always want them to be done justice and I don't think these guys will, although in there minds they think they will

Cage is too old and too ugly to be Blaze. Plain and simple. CGI this crap up all you want, it won't make it better. They should have gave Cage the boot after the first one failed. Now they are just throwing good money after bad.

I think it looks fantastic. If it weren cage returning everyone would be all for it. People are judging the entire movie frm the past perfomance. Cage had too much imput on the first one and here the directors said "just act dude" which he can do well from time to time
