KarlRobinofEarth2 - 12/17/2012, 5:14 PM
NPH in this is not as bad as David Cross in The Chipmunks
GraGar - 12/17/2012, 5:18 PM
You hyped it too much!
Shadowelfz - 12/17/2012, 5:21 PM
Ugh. Looks like NPH will be the only good thing in that movie.
nailbiter111 - 12/17/2012, 5:25 PM

MarvelEPIC - 12/17/2012, 5:28 PM
Please no, this isn't happening!!
Nick56 - 12/17/2012, 5:32 PM
why are people getting all upset. Its a children's movie about children's characters.
nailbiter111 - 12/17/2012, 5:32 PM
Amazingjr87 - Why? Smurfs are a comic book movie. I bet you didn't know that. They actually originated in a Belgium comic strip. See, the more you know.
marvel72 - 12/17/2012, 5:37 PM
smurfette is a slag, think about it papa smurf & smurfette made all of the other smurfs because there isn't any other female smurfs.
KarlRobinofEarth2 - 12/17/2012, 5:43 PM
@nailbiter111 I swear I saw a star swipe after I read the words 'the more you know lol.

KarlKingNerd - As I typed it I saw that star breezing through my mind.
JredTheRed - 12/17/2012, 5:50 PM
come on people do you not remember the cartoon? or was it before most of your times? I enjoyed the first one as did my 3yr girl, and this one looks promising....I think Hank does great as gargamel and the plots really do have a modern feel to the stories from some of the old episodes.
rbfn04 - 12/17/2012, 5:53 PM
OMG how dare they keep making movies for kids? Smurfs will suck. Stop. STOP. STOOOOOP!
TheAmazingSpiderMan47 - 12/17/2012, 5:56 PM
that looks worse than awful
JredTheRed - 12/17/2012, 5:56 PM
@Amazingjr87 - he posted this article because its still "geek culture"....the name of this site throws ppl off I think. If people only post about CBM then you really wouldn't have that many articles that often. Notices articles about actual comics (not just the movies), ghostbusters, cosplay, the hobbit, Robocop, django unchained, the lone ranger, expendables, Indiana jones, etc.. its just a wide variety of "geek culture".
Scooby - 12/17/2012, 6:04 PM
Ugh
bazinga85 - 12/17/2012, 6:05 PM
Old cartoons like the smurfs, the chipmunks, and scooby-doo don't belong in the present times. They don't relate to the current society like superheroes(who face real problems) do.
DrHorrible - 12/17/2012, 6:06 PM
Guys. Come on. I'm kind of obigated now to do these shitty Smurfs movies. Give me a break.

No need to worry though. Doctor Horrible 2 is coming...
DrHorrible - 12/17/2012, 6:07 PM
^Anyone believe that?^

No? Eh, it was worth a try.

Orson Welles, eat your heart out.
RorMachine - 12/17/2012, 6:21 PM
The "it's just a kid's movie" excuse doesn't fly, There are great and rubbish kid's movies the same as any other genre..and don't think for one second children are incapable of recognizing one from the other either! yes this will probably appeal to VERY young children who are happy enough if a movie has bright colors and a bit of raucous behavior, but that's it.
TheJoker1986 - 12/17/2012, 6:31 PM
MarvelEPIC - 12/17/2012, 7:01 PM
I guess it won't be that bad, but it might(will)!!!
Vadakin - 12/17/2012, 7:47 PM
Smurfs might have been OK if it had stayed in that world. What is it with these kinds of films and their obsession with bringing these types of characters into the "real" world?
GUNSMITH - 12/17/2012, 7:57 PM
PAPA SMURF DOESNT EVEN SOUND LIKE PAPA SMURF..!..THEY SHOULD KEEP IT IN THE DAMN SMURF WORLD..SERIOUSLY.
asdalhjljh - 12/17/2012, 8:01 PM
5 bucks says Josh gives it a 5 star review, despite a few minor flaws.
xstryker - 12/17/2012, 8:08 PM
