ALmazing - 12/22/2012, 12:12 PM
This is getting ridiculous.

Boner Achieved.... A Damn Good Movie Also..

CoolantTech - 12/22/2012, 12:19 PM
Hope it wins something, we need a few Oscar winners in the CBM genre to solidify our spot as a genre

Dynamo - 12/22/2012, 12:19 PM
They're really pushing for this aren't they? It's not going to happen. Better luck with MOS...
DaenerysTargaryen - 12/22/2012, 12:22 PM
WB....you dont give up do you. I look forward to them most likely NOT getting nominated
SHHH - 12/22/2012, 12:24 PM
Don't Feed the Marvel Fangirls....
poop23 - 12/22/2012, 12:27 PM
Being rewarded shouldn't involve campaigning whatsoever. Its like being given a gift or a complement, you don't keep pushing onto someone how great you are in order to receive one, it just needs to happen on its own, otherwise its selfish and stupid
darkness - 12/22/2012, 12:28 PM
awards? after tdkr i won't watch bb or tdk ever again!!! bring on the reboot
Fogs - 12/22/2012, 12:44 PM
Is WB also pushing for other movies? Because it's obvious in this site we'll see just the Batman ones.
avengersleagueofjusticeforamerica - 12/22/2012, 12:55 PM

Once again folks, campaigning for an Oscar isn't new. It's half of the challenge of winning. The other half is: making a good movie. Speaking of which, after watching Rises again... I don't think Best Picture and Best Directing is out of the question. Without a doubt, Chris Coubould and Wally Pfister are a sure win. If you've seen all of the Production Videos, Rises is a magnificent piece of filmmaking.

The only award it will NOT win is: Best Writing (Adapted Screenplay). The script wasn't awful, it's just not Oscar material. I read it, and the descriptions of action and characters seem to depend on your knowledge of BB and TDK. It seemed as if they said, we got enough storyboards, we don't need a perfect script. (Being an accurate representation of the mythology probably won't factor into this decision.)

Darth258 - 12/22/2012, 1:13 PM
Seriously now, i get all the "Every company campaign with posters", but do they advert 5 "different" posters per week?

Anyways i agree with @poop23

A few to get the attention on the movie i get that, but more than a dozen in less than a month...

ReeferInferno - 12/22/2012, 1:13 PM
In my opinion this movie totally deserves a nomination, a win however is up for debate, but in my opinion it is the best movie of 2012, but I suppose that's because I haven't seen some movies like argo, skyfall or django unchained
SageMode - 12/22/2012, 1:15 PM
And that goes for PSYCHOBOY too
Darth258 - 12/22/2012, 1:15 PM
And i mean for every movie, not just this. Since i don't vote for the oscars i'm not really caring about the whole campaign.
Darth258 - 12/22/2012, 1:17 PM
And last thing, since i'm not american, do the nominees and the winners get chosen by the people? If so i get all the advertisements.
SHHH - 12/22/2012, 1:25 PM
Marvel Fangirl alert.....
INFO - 12/22/2012, 1:27 PM
WIN.
KeefNCookies - 12/22/2012, 1:32 PM
Good enough movie, but definitely wasnt anything special. All these Oscar pushes are very pathetic IMO.
TheIconicMan - 12/22/2012, 1:41 PM
The movie is great, but come on Warner Bros.! It's starting to get annoying.
Funsize - 12/22/2012, 1:46 PM
Screw the awards I'd rather have them working on the DC movie universe.
Maximus101 - 12/22/2012, 2:05 PM
I highly doubt any cbm will win anything this year but TDKR has the best chance out of any of them for sure.
yingyangpalms - 12/22/2012, 2:12 PM
@CAMMODE Whats your role? Ball-Boy for Nolan? Get this through your head: THE DARK KNIGHT RISES SUCKED!!!!
ReeferInferno - 12/22/2012, 2:18 PM
@yingyangpalms yeah that's why so many critics are putting tdkr on their top 10 lists of 2012. It was an epic conclusion to the greatest comic book trilogy in history
Dev7 - 12/22/2012, 2:20 PM
@Teabag, you're pushing to give or to take?
Xandera - 12/22/2012, 2:23 PM
The movie blew goats...
marvel72 - 12/22/2012, 2:32 PM
i suppose if you beg hard enough like warner seems to be doing the oscar committee will just give in & give them a nomination just so they shut the f*ck up. :D

if the dark knight rises gets a best picture nomination(hahahahaha)sorry i couldn't hold it back any longer.it'll be like when "extremely loud & incredibly close" got nominated it shouldn't of been there with those other movies.

i'm not expecting the avengers to be nominated for anything but it would f*ckin crack me if it got nominated for the awards the dark knight rises is campaigning for without one "for your consideration" poster.
marvel72 - 12/22/2012, 2:37 PM
this should be the track they send to oscar committee.

Jollem - 12/22/2012, 2:54 PM
let's not pretend that if the avengers was doing the same thing all movies do, that there wouldn't be fanpeople that would just love it :)
OverlyManlyMan - 12/22/2012, 3:56 PM
amen @ dangerstranger

same with poop23

but like some of you have said, if the TDK didn't get nominated, this one definitely isn't either
Jollem - 12/22/2012, 4:00 PM
if the avengers was in the runnings they would be doing the exact same thing tdkr is doing, and biased and unbiased marvel/marvel studio fans would be giving out all kinds of praise and saying how epicz the posters are and stuff. they would also be fighting with the flip-side over the oscar battle. but, the avengers aren't, so the usual suspects are just simply resorting to trashing and bashing whatever they can how they usually do
marvel72 - 12/22/2012, 4:30 PM
@ Jollem

& vice versa,it happens all the time so don't just say its marvelites that do it.
Jollem - 12/22/2012, 4:42 PM
@marvel72 - if this oscar situation was reversed, yes, i'm sure similar stuff would be happening. i never stated anything to the adverse of that. and i never stated that only "marvelite/marvel studioites" do their monkeyshines

holster your sidearm, cowboy :)
THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 12/22/2012, 4:53 PM
vid doesn't work for me
SageMode - 12/22/2012, 8:32 PM
THEYOUNG.....

Why ask questions of which you already know the answers?..........

PSYCHOBOY

Now now would a self-proclaimed "biased DC Fanboy" have something reasonable to say?
mgeoff88 - 12/22/2012, 8:41 PM
This is getting ridiculous. If they think TDKR is that Oscar worthy, they shouldn't be pushing it that much.

Warner Bros. going overboard could actually ruin their chances.
mgeoff88 - 12/23/2012, 6:08 AM
@TheYoungMan That would mean a lot more if you avatar wasn't from TDKR. I'm not bashing the film, I'm saying trying this hard for an Oscar push smells of desperation. I'm not the only one on here that feels that way. WB should be confident enough in the film too not put this much effort into their Oscar campaign. Just an example, Skyfall had four "For your consideration" posters. How many has TDKR had? And that's not even counting this BTS video in this article.
