POLL: Most Disappointing Movie Of 2013 Thus Far? POLL: Most Disappointing Movie Of 2013 Thus Far?

What constitutes a disappointing film? It's subjective, only you, yourself, know which movie you went to the theater to go see expecting to love and walked away incredibly unsatisfied. Hit the jump to share your opinion and don't forget to place your vote.

Things I shouldn't have to tell you, but I clearly have to. Don't vote on films you haven't seen. Don't vote for a film just because you thought it was the worst film. This poll is NOT about the worst film, it's about the MOST DISAPPOINTING FILM. I'm trying to avoid last year's debacle when so many of you voted for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. Which means many of you didn't understand the word "disappointing," which is very disappointing. Keep in mind, I limited the list to only films that we have covered on comicbookmovie.com.

So, I want you to think of a film, from the list below, that you felt in your heart of hearts would be great, but when the end credits began to roll you had a queasy sensation knowing that your high expectations were not fulfilled.

To CBM fans, it would be IM3. To the general audience, it was MOS.

DC fanboys will all vote for IM3 because MOS didn't do as well, repeating the usual talking points.

I'm about to vote for all of them.

Man of Steel. People were pumping it up to be the best CBM ever, and it was just good.

Gotta be RDJ 3, it killed any interest I had in Thor. Next Marvel movie for me will surely be GOTG, can't wait for that one :D

Are you people out of your freaking minds?!?!?! Did you not see After Earth or Hansel and Gretal?!?!?! Shit was awful!! You fanboys are freaking ridiculous.
TheWolverine08
TheWolverine08 - 8/4/2013, 5:59 PM
CBM wise: MOS. It was supposed to be the "best" CBM every, but just turned out to be good at best.

All Movies: After Earth. No need to explain.

FightAs0ne - 8/4/2013, 6:00 PM
Glad another Resident Evil movie didn't come out, or that'd get my vote. I know opinions are opinions and I respect that, but if you ACTUALLY THINK that IM3, MOS, were worst than After Earth, Hansel and Gretal, The Lone Ranger, A Good Day To Die Hard, or the gore porn film known as Evil Dead, no hope is left.
Shara184
Shara184 - 8/4/2013, 6:01 PM
@FightAsOne I would've voted After Earth but he said disappointed, meaning you went in excited but left feeling the movie failed to exceed or fulfill your expectations, that for me was Iron Man 3 without any doubt. I was satisfied with MOS, nothing more
FightAs0ne
FightAs0ne - 8/4/2013, 6:02 PM
nailbiter11 - No, I had no hope for those films at all whatsoever, but they were in no way worse than IM3 or MOS.

all the butthurt Mandarin fanboys are gonna say iron man 3. It's so predictable, it's hilarious. Anyway, it's Man of Steel by far. It's not even close.

We all know Iron Man 3 is by far the biggest disappointment of the year. But now we're just kicking the body around.

IM3 Should be THE ONLY choice in the pole.
SpiderParker
SpiderParker - 8/4/2013, 6:03 PM
Iron Man 3 would be most disappointing movie for comic book purist while Man of Steel for general audience.

Iron Man fans hated the take on Mandarin while Superman fans loved watching... umm... fightings/destruction transformer style?

Iron Man 3 followed closely by Man of Steel in second.
GoILL
GoILL - 8/4/2013, 6:05 PM
In all seriousness Iron Man 3 was the one I actually did vote for, not a terrible movie just wasn't what I expected it to be.

I'm really waiting for the people who hated on Iron Man 3 and Man of Steel before they were released to say they were disappointed by either.

I think it's impossible to be disappointed in a film that you talked shit about over and over again before it even released.

Liverpool4life

Shara. How can a movie about one character kill your interest in subsequent movies about completely different characters? So, because I was disappointed in The Dark Knight Rises, I should skip MOS? You don't make sense.
TheWolverine08
TheWolverine08 - 8/4/2013, 6:08 PM
Did you guys see the hype fot Man of Steel on here? Every time a trailer or tv spot was released, the comments were all "epic" "I'm going to cry from all the awesomeness" "Best CBM ever", and ridiculous amounts of celebratory GIFs.

After MOS, most people on here called it "good". Don't really see how it doesn't take the top spot.
oldschoolavenger98
oldschoolavenger98 - 8/4/2013, 6:08 PM
As for Iron Man 3, it was a character piece, a really good character piece. It was about Tony Stark and his journey since Iron Man 1. And as for the nitpickers talking about how there wasn't enough iron man, the climax had 40 iron man suits in it. What more do you want?! Seriously?
